The company was very easy to work with and accommodating. Zero complaints. We stayed at "On the Beach" in Nye Beach. Amazing. We loved the eclectic charm, fireplace, and of course - the view!!!!! The house was clean and the fully fenced yard was perfect for our dog. Would return in a heartbeat and recommend this location and Oregon Beach Vacations to family and friends.

I liked our place. It was clean and had everything we needed. Just one complaint. When booking, the cleaning fee wasn't made very clear. I thought I would be charged one price and was charged something nearly double because of the cleaning fee. Ultimately it didn't ruin our trip, and we loved the place, but that was sort of a bummer when I first booked. The way Airbnb does it -- showing all fees up front -- makes much more sense to be.

Smooth transactions. Instructions good instructions. No problems encountered.

Captain John's was a comfortable beach house. We had many things we needed: tv, coffeemaker, adequate linens and Internet access. And there were "older" qualities you can only find in an older place: claw foot tubs, original woodwork and cozy porch and deck. We loved the location; close to town but far enough away for quiet. Stay there!

I really appreciated the breakdown of costs before booking. We had one mishap during our stay where we accidentally locked ourselves out of the master bedroom. After a few phone calls, the maintenance man made the hour-long drive to come help us out. Everything about the stay was easy. I would definitely look at this company's listings again next time we need a place to stay.

My family and I booked a unit/room through another vacation rental agency and showed up to our unit only to see that was already occupied and the agency had double booked the unit. Panicking, I started driving Hwy 101 looking for a place to stay for the night. We had been driving over 6 hours already to get to Lincoln City, OR.

I happened to drive past the office for Oregon Beach Vacations and went inside to see if they had any units available. They were very sympathetic to our situation and searched for an available unit. Dean found a unit for one night and gave us an amazing rate. He, and the entire office staff, were very friendly.

The unit was really nice and clean. The only thing I would have changed is having bedding on the pull out hide-a-bed, but I am not complaining. I'm very thankful for the room and excellent customer service we received. I will book with Oregon Beach Vacations again and recommend them.

We took numerous photos because we could not believe that this property was over $600 a night. The beds were old and low quality which is okay if you like sleeping on springs. There were several stains in the carpeting to the discolored grout on the tiled floors. The walls had numerous chips, gouges, and marks throughout the home. We submitted a list of issues in hopes they address the issues. I am considering a blog for our experience with more details, videos, and photos. Our complaints fell on deaf ears and the no satisfactory response was given. Other sites have company reviews and they tear apart anyone that dares tell the truth about the way they operate.

To Whom it May Concern:

My Wife and I spoke with Dean and a customer service rep at your office a few times regarding our rental. We traveled from out of town at great expense to have several of our family members stay with us in Lincoln City. At $649 a night, this property falls well below the comfort and quality standards of all of the properties we have previously stayed in at the coast. I am sending you a list of issues in hopes you will address them so others are not as inconvenienced as we were.

We called shortly after entering the home to inform your company of the stained carpet, poor quality bedding, four mattresses that are so worn you can feel the springs through the pad, south living room TV picture is distorted, and damaged walls / moldings that make this place look like a well used Fraternity house. After the first few hours, our list grew to include: three exterior doors with loose hinges, front door by #2221 does not open from the exterior, ants in the kitchen, south fridge pooling water on the inside shelves, half of the hot tub jets and the temperature controls do not work, lower level south dryer does not work, tile grout in the bathrooms and kitchen are dirty and darkened from original light color around the edges, lights burned out in the north kitchen including a missing bulb, missing banister post, the lower north bathroom sink faucet is nearly impossible to turn off completely and the pipes in the wall knocks loudly when used, lower north exterior doors and all upper level doors are missing screens, the back of the sofa cushions have tears where they attached to the back with stuffing showing, and the lower south hide-a-bed mattress had a stained (looks like blood) cover and empty wrappers in the bed.

An older home and cottage that aren't fancy but are very cozy. We had a pleasant stay. FYI there is no dishwasher.

The house is beautiful. However, it could use a good cleaning. There was a lot of. Dirt under the couch, and cushions, and cob webs hanging from the ceilings.
We had to call maintenance twice. Once because the downstairs bathroom door locked and we could not get in and again because we woke up saturday morning with no hot water.
Other than that our group had a wonderful stay. 😀

Our entry instructions were inaccurate and phone number to call with problems was staffed by someone who was not able to give us entry to the condo. This resulted in us waiting outside for over 30 minutes to get in. Once in the carpet was filthy. All of the other amenities were nice, as long as you didn't want to watch TV in the living room.

Very nice home! Ideal for two couples and/or a family. The two bathrooms and kitchen areas are great! Views tremendous!

We had a great time over the weekend, there was lots of games and stuff for the kids to do, it rained all weekend, and they still had a blast.

This is the fourth time we've stayed in the Water's Edge condominium and the first in this unit. Unfortunately, I won't book it again. The fireplace didn't work and, while the unit itself was clean, the dishes were dirty and the kitchen was poorly stocked. We always bring our "beach box" that has many kitchen items and this time we really needed it.

We've used Oregon Beach Vacation Rentals many times and they are professional, very accommodating and normally the homes are as stated. This was just one rather disappointing trip,

I have booked several Oregon Beach Vacations rentals several times and have never had anything but a good experience. That includes the company itself and the property rented.

Definitely will be back!

Great location and fabulous home. Clean, tidy, and plenty of room. Will definitely look into renting it again!!
