Shockingly corrupt company with ZERO customer service

I recently bought a can of Organomics dog food from my local supermarket. But when I took it home and weighed the contents on my digital kitchen scale, I discovered that it was underweight. So, I went to the Organomics Web site and sent them a message about this. Most companies, when you tell them about such a problem, are responsive, apologizing and also sending you some coupons or offering you a refund. However, I got NO response at all from Organomics. 😾

Several days later, I decided to call them up. I talked to Shmer, who said that Callie is the person who handles the complaints. I told her that Callie never responded to my complaint, so she said that she would write a note saying that I had called and give it to her. But again, NO response from Callie.

About a week later, I called once again, and this time I spoke with Tameka. She apologized for the lack of response and said that Callie had just gotten married and had been out a few days, but that she would give her my message. I then asked her if Callie has a supervisor, and she said no, because Callie is actually one of the company's owners! 😬 (It turns out that Callie's last name is Sher, which I found out by doing some research online. Also, the whole operation is a small, family-run business.) Anyway, guess what? I NEVER got a response from Callie. 🤨

When I did some research on Organomics (whose parent company is Evanger's), I learned some very disturbing things:

1) Back in 2017, a barbiturate called pentobarbital, which doubles as a euthanasia drug, was found in some of Evanger's dog food. 😱 One dog who ate the food ended up dying. 😭 And this prompted a couple of recalls of their product. But instead of being genuinely apologetic about what happened, apparently Evanger's told a bunch of lies and basically never accepted any responsibility for the contaminated dog food. 🤥

And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Several years before that, Callie's parents, who owned the company, got arrested for theft!! 😳 To read the full horror story about this company, please do a Web search for the article "Evanger’s Recalls 2017: How Did a Euthanasia Drug Get Into Dog Food?" by Melissa Smith.

2) On another popular review site, several people reported finding very strange, disgusting substances in their cans of Evanger's pet food, and vowed never to buy Evanger's products again.

3) On this same review site, many people also made comments like: "This company has the worst customer service ever!" Well, I second that!!

So, the fact that Callie ignored me completely, even after I tried to contact the company THREE times, is apparently just business as usual for this deadbeat company, who make underweight products and couldn't care less about their customers. 🤮

Please do yourself (and your pet) a favor by staying as far away as you can from this greedy, dishonest company. 🤑
