Nilecruise with Orienttravel.se

We booked the Egypt Cruise at Orienttravel.se
We decided to upgrade the room at the cruiseship for 1.800 dkk in total, so the trip for 8 days cost almost 40.000 DKK. Our expectations was according to the relative high price. Something was also good, but something very bad. Here we list up the good and bad happenings.
1: We arrived late evening in Cairo Airport and drove app 1,5 hour to the Hotel in Gisa. Arriving about 23.30.
2: The Hotel was totally noisy, a very traficated road only 25 m from and in Front of the hotel and on top of this - like on af bridge -the Motorway/Ringway. All night Car noise and Hub (tudehorn) spoiled our nightsleep. The vindows let all noise come in, because only singleglass in the windows.
3: Next Morning picked up at 04.15 for going back to Cairo Airport. With lunchbag. We were in Stress, because of not sleeping at night and a kind of chaos in Airport.
Were guided by your local (good Guy) to the flight to Luxor. Would have much been better if the flight had left to Luxor straight after arriving Cairo - same evening.
4: Cabin, food and Cruise on Nile was good. Good guide.
5: Coming back to Cairo, back to same noisy Hotel. No Restaurant – it looked as was it Closed for long time ago. Ramadan Chaos outside.
We found - after long time searching a Restaurant in a very noisy and dirty arounding.
6: Again no nicht sleep because of the noisy streets
7: Breakfirst bad. Toaster only toasting one side. Did not really work and Start. Coffeemachine did not work. We got old coffee from the day before, warmed in Micro.
The eggs was also from the day before and warmed up in a pot.
8: Visit to Pyramides and Sfinx good.
9: Back to bad hotel. Trying to find a restaurant evening in a dirty and noisy area of the city. Found one and got bad Stomach whole night.
10: Again a bad sleep. Again bad Breakfirst. Coffemachine not working. Toaster not working.

We do not understand, that we pay 40.000 Dkk for two persons one week and get that bad Hotel.
We asked for a refound, but after 30 days just mails, excuses but no action.
We think, Orienttravel should find a better way to handle their guests during the stay in Cairo/Giza.
We claimed the problem, but never got more response, than the would check up with the local partner. We never heard more.
Bad style...
