I've been with origin for about 26…

I've been with origin for about 26 years in Tweed heads NSW, I just received an update for the changes as if 01/07/2026, kWh price slitly less as with govt rules, supply charge up from $1.80 day to $2.70 day rough guide only that's an increase of about $81 a quarter before you use any electricity. For low usage customers they still squeeze the dollars out. Same on them, better to pay a bit more for kWh (which have dropped) and pay less for just the service. Time for me to change and take the other 38 residents to a new provider

Prices down but Bills going up

Heard from the Govt that power prices were going down but now Origin deciding to increase daily supply charges in their Affinity plan by100% from 1 July 2026. In reality that means our bills will be much higher as a result. That's a rip-off origin.

The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has decided to cut the default market offer (DMO) in several states. Previously retail cost allowances were spread between usage and supply charges, but this year they are all accounted for in the supply charge, so daily charges would increase. No power for 3 days

Our electricity was confirmed to be connected on 29/05. And it was not. After calling origin during business hours your consultant confirmed they would raise another request to have our power connected. Again it was not. We had fridges full of food valued at $500 as we were moving into our first home. We had no power for three days. This has forever dimmed our first home experience and our experience with origin.

You have more plans than Telstra…

You have more plans than Telstra mobiles!! I am an old codger who doesn't want to look at plans he doesn't understand. You keep records; why can't you look at mine and say this is the go! Making things complicated for a few bucks is no good for me.
