Paul and the team at Orisec are very customer focused, Nothing is ever too much trouble, the equipment is reliable and well made and once the equipment is installed we never get any call backs.

I am an alarm installer, unfortunately in South Africa there is no support. The company's listed support number is someone's personal cell number who don't even know the company. The head office landline number ring 4 times then goes dead. The other sub branches numbers say 'does not exist' when you try to dial them...

I am extremely disappointed with my new Orisec alarm system.

Within just a few days of installation, the system entered reset mode and displayed a message instructing me to contact the installation company. I found this surprising, as I expected to be able to manage basic issues myself.

When the installer visited, I asked why I was unable to reset the alarm. I was informed that only the installer could carry out the reset. During the visit, the installer entered an engineer menu using a code that I was unaware existed. When I asked whether I could have the code, I was told that providing it would invalidate my warranty.

This left me with the impression that I have very little control over a system that I have paid more than £1,000 for. Instead, I appear to be entirely dependent on the installer for functions that I would reasonably expect the owner to be able to perform. For example, if the system develops a fault or requires resetting following a power cut, I would have to contact the installer rather than being able to resolve the issue myself.

In my opinion, this creates unnecessary reliance on the installation company and raises concerns about ongoing service costs.

I also found the mobile app to be very basic, offering limited functionality. It appears that many of the system’s controls remain inaccessible to the homeowner.

Overall, I am very disappointed with my experience. Based on the level of control available to the end user and the issues encountered so soon after installation, I would not recommend this alarm system.

Update: I had the installation company attend two days ago to reset my alarm once again. Less than 24 hours later, the system has gone back into reset mode, meaning I now have to contact the installer yet again to arrange another visit.

This is completely unacceptable. The alarm appears to have a recurring fault that has still not been resolved despite multiple call-outs. I expect this issue to be investigated properly and a permanent solution provided, rather than repeatedly resetting the system without addressing the underlying problem.

Precise and professional in all ascpects

This is now the 2nd time I’ve called Orisec Tech help. 1st time was in relation to issues with my ControlPlus 2 iPhone app which works with our home alarm system. This time was in relation to the app not working anymore as I’d upgraded from copper to fibre broadband. I can’t recall the first guy’s name but in this occasion I spoke to Ian.
On both occasions I was patiently and courteously led through the process of resetting the app/inputting new SSID & password info. On this occasion Ian talked me through resetting my alarm keypad. This is probably above and beyond his remit but when I explained how useless the alarm company had been when I made the same enquiry to them, he was more than happy to assist.
I’ve been really impressed with the support I’ve received from Orisec and I have no hesitation in highly recommending them.

Choosing Orisec as our preferred alarm system has been a game changer. We’ve seen higher customer satisfaction and a significant boost in referrals since making the switch. It’s absolutely true, built by engineers, for engineers. The level of thought and detail that goes into their products is second to none.

Orisec has been my go to Intruder Alarm product now many years, with the reliability, great technical support, easy ordering process and the great support from Ryan my Orisec rep, I can't see me using any other product for a long time yet.

Excellent customer service. They can't do enough to help you out. Only been installing for around 6 months but can't fault it so far.
The only negative reviews you will find are from end users wanting technical help with their system. Orisec only distribute to installers which helps them cut down on technical issues and faults arising from bad installations.

Ryan has been spot on from the start, not your average Sales guy… no pushy tactics and has done everything he said he would, really happy with his service and his products

Best Intruder alarm manufacturer on the market.
Having found fault with most of the other manufacturers, I'm truly happy with fitting Orisec. All departments are fantastic, Sales and Tech Support are just as good as the products they sell and support. Keep it going Orisec! Ollie @ OC Security Solutions

My experience of ORISEC ALARMS!
This company provide absolutely no support for the consumer. They only provide support for installers who instal their products.
Each call to installer, costing £200. The installer changes the 1234 engineer code to their own choosen number and not sharing with the customer either so if you have a power cut and you need to reset your alarm, you need to spend £200 to get the installer to do that which customers can do themselves also, randomly you get alert to say your bell is "tamper alarm". Customer service useless because they don't deal with the customers. Not sure if orisec or installer remotely controlling the system to make customers to call their engineers. I have an useless alarm since January 2024 which I am not able to use unless, I spend another £200. Completely lost my trust with this alarm system. If you want to have control over your security alarm then don't buy Orisec.

I wrote a negative report on my alarm around a year ago. I'm still having problems and as a single woman living on her own I rely on an alarm system. I haven't been able to set this alarm now for two days due to signal failure on the front door. The app is basic to say the least and the panel not user friendly. So another night with no alarm set. I'm having a new one asap, what a waste of money.
