Had a fantastic trip this morning. Jamie is brilliant. Will definitely book again next year.

Went for a last minute boat trip with Jamie. Messaged him late, communicated well and arranged a trip before going home tomorrow. The trip was absolutely fantastic, the weather was also good and not much wind. I would recommend contacting Jamie and spending time getting to listen to his knowledge of the island… every day is a school day.

Great trip with Jamie today, last minute booking from our cruise ship today, due to heavy rain we were offered free cancellation. We braved the elements and were rewarded as it stopped raining and we even saw the sun! Detailed safety briefing, life jackets and good binoculars provided. We also rescued a stranded boat, towing it back to harbour! Jamie's knowledge of the local area, history and wildlife was extensive and added to our experience, we saw, many kinds of birds and seals and finished a great trip by being allowed to steer on the way back, under close supervision!
Highly recommend this company, very professional and reliable.

Lovely trip and very nice with just the two of us. The day was lovely with great views, but Jamie still managed to show us the treacherous tides. Even let me steer the boat for a bit!

What a fantastic boat trip! Our skipper, Jamie, pre-warned us the weather was a little choppy in case we wanted to cancel but we decided to just go for it. Really pleased we did! Saw some very inquisitive grey seals & more types of birds than I care to mention. Jamie was full of local history & it made for a lovely couple of hours out. I would thoroughly recommend this trip. I had a lovely boat tour today with Jamie. Who very kindly help facilitate a last minute trip for me. It was such a great way to explore the islands and see some wildlife. 10/10 would recommend!

We had a lovely evening just the two of us and Jamie,a very knowledgeable and friendly guide,spotting seals and various birds.We learnt a lot about the area,the tides,skerries and holms.If your in Orkney and looking for a great boat trip,you won’t be disappointed,you might even get to drive the boat!

We had such a great time out on the water with Orkney Boat Charter. It was just the two of us and Jamie, which made the whole experience feel really personal and relaxed. We lucked out with the weather and saw loads of birds, seals, and jellyfish.
Jamie was super friendly and he had lots of interesting info to share about the wildlife, the places we passed, and how the currents work around the islands. It was a really fun and memorable part of our trip. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Orkney!

We visited Kirkwall from a cruise ship. Having found Orkney Boat Charter's web site, we booked a trip in advance. From the start, Communication was excellent.
We received concise meeting instructions, and there was no problem when, at short notice, we asked to change our start time by half an hour. The skipper Jamie is very experienced, and before we set off, we were issued with life jackets and a full safety briefing. The boat is quite small, so be prepared for a somewhat bumpy ride, but that's half the fun if you ask me. Jamie has vast knowledge of the area and we were given tons of information at every point during the trip. We saw plenty of seals and birdlife, including a close up ariel display by Arctic terms. We thoroughly recommend you take this tour during your visit to Kirkwall !

Had a great day on the water with Jamie of Orkney Boat Charters today. Jamie was a perfect host and made the activity even more special with his knowledge about everything we saw and his insights on living and working on Orkney. Seeing the colony of Grey and Harbour seals was really special. Letting us pilot the boat part of the way back was a real thrill. Even our dog enjoyed the trip. The tour is small and intimate which made it really a real memorable event. It was like being out with a mate! We will definitely be in touch with Jamie again for a repeat performance when we visit Orkney again. We thoroughly recommend Orkney Boat Charters for anyone thinking of doing an activity that is a little bit different- you will not be left disappointed.

An amazing experience, unmissable. Jamie is very knowledgeable of the islands and the wildlife around Orkney. I definitely will be doing this again. Saw loads of Grey and Harbour seals.
