Marysa did a wonderful job restoring a book that had a great deal of sentimental value for me but was falling apart. Her work was exceptional and means I will have the book to enjoy for many years to come. She was a pleasure to deal with, efficient and very talented. Thank you.

After a long trawl of other potential suppliers we engaged Marysa at Otter Bookbinding to print and bind multiple copies of our 300-page 'Ross Family History'. And we are so glad that we did.

There are now so many faceless Internet companies and, even on those occasions where one gets the desired result, there is little satisfaction in giving one's business to such anonymous and impersonal organisations.

But that's not the case with Otter Bookbinding. There, an enthusiastic team of what we used to call 'artisans', operating from a small but well fitted out workshop, lovingly produce exactly what you want. So my pleasure in having used Otter Bookbinding is two fold. Firstly, we received precisely what we asked for, and at a very fair price. And, secondly, it was such a refreshing experience dealing with a specialist business that is clearly motivated more by the quality of the finished product than by their P&L.

We can't wait to put more business the way of Marysa and her team.

What a wonderful find! I have used Otterbookbinding twice now, and have been delighted with the results each time. Mine were rather small jobs (re-binding of a couple of cheap pocket bibles) and I have to say some book binders give the impression that unless you have a precious antique they are not interested! Otterbookbinding are not at all like that - the response was always efficient, friendly and at a good price; plus the quality of the workmanship turned an ordinary book into something to treasure. Thoroughly recommended!

A Hidden Gem in Midhurst
My family wrote and illustrated a book 'Finding Papou' to help our niece's daughter Emily try and understand where her beloved Papou had gone. We looked to Otter bookbinding to help produce 12 copies for the close family. What a revelation they were. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and understanding. They recommended the most beautifully textured paper for the book, suggested a few changes to the design to aid continuity, suggested that Emily herself design the inside face pages, advised the binding colour and texture and explained what binding system they would use. They committed to and delivered to a tight timetable so we could take the books to Switzerland. On pick up there was a personal note to Emily explaining there was a hidden 'P' somewhere in the book for her to find. What a wonderful gesture. There was a minor issue with one book, but that was resolved immediately. Without doubt a fantastic team who understood the importance of what we were trying to do, and contributed in every way they could do. An exceptional little operation with a heart and real values.

Lovely work thank you. My book was restored sympathetically in exactly the way I had hoped and looks as I remember it 60 years ago.

This is about my fifth use of Otter Bookbinding, this time for two books one of which needed a replacement slipcase, the other should have had one but did not. In both cases Marysa and her team have supplied a lovely product, in the case of the second one it is hard to imagine that it was not always there. Service is usually prompt, this time it was super prompt. Highly recommended as usual.

It was a blind date that turned out well. I had a late Victorian book on health by Dr Allinson of brown bread fame. It had been consulted to semi-disintegration by my grandmother. It was either ‘re-bind or chuck in the bin’. In lockdown I had to send it somewhere and hope for the best. That is what I got from Otter. Its pages are back in place and the cover more handsome than the original. Shame my grandmother can’t see it.

Excellent quality product and the customer service was exceptional.

Friendly, helpful, fast and a really good job. I needed some gold lettering embossed on a hardback log and the whole thing was handled perfectly. This is the second time I have used Otter BB and it will not be the last.

Everything about Otterbookbinding is an absolute delight. Whilst I am sure that Marysa and her team have bound hundreds of books, throughout the entire process I felt that Marysa was so personally invested in creating the most wonderful book for me as a gift for my Grandfather. From the excellent catalogue of marbled papers to choose from, exquisite leather, beautiful embossed designs and all created by such a lovely person, a five star rating isn't high enough! With many more projects in a similar vein, I will absolutely be returning to Otterbookbinding for them.

I had a foolscap size Church Record Book which was about 50 years old, patched up with sellotape over the years. It was completely falling apart, with no intrinsic value, but a treasured personal possession.
Otterbookbinding have restored it beautifully, rebinding it completely, but retaining the original covers and its unique character.
The result has exceeded my expectations. I am delighted. They have done an amazing job, and I am very grateful. They gave me a provisional completion date, but delivered much sooner.

Marysa recently rebound and page repaired an old and completely unusable family Breeches Bible. Absolutely excellent work which now makes it a pleasure to open and read and will hopefully enable it to survive another 400 years. On the strength of it we asked her to also repair a well used copy of Mrs. Beaton.

What a wonderful team! I'm from Canada so we spent a while going over everything over email, and they were a treat to work with. Their editing job was fantastic and the binding work is very clearly well done. Would love to use them again if I ever have a need!
