My experience = great

Having read the reviews on here earlier I may not have decided to order from OUAR. However, I had not read them and I can honestly say I had a very different experience which has been extremely positive. I place my order mid week and was notified of delivery the following Monday. UPS said they come between 08:30 and 10:30 but didn’t come until 14:15 when I had gone out. My delivery was sent to a local pick up point. I collected my parcel no problem.
In the meantime I had a text message from Alberto at OUAR to advise of the delivery address.
The product is fantastic - I bought the green bib tights and they look and feel great, quality is great and they are just as shown on the website.
So all in all, a very positive experience, great product, great service, no hidden charges. I recommend 100%.

Great fit, not as advertised. Terrible customer service, ridiculous return shipping charges

I just had a terrible experience with this company. Short of it: I ordered two pairs of bibs for $248. They took over two weeks to reach me because they were stuck in customs for 9 days. Once I received them, they were a duller color and not as shiny as what was represented on their website. The fit was great but I got them also for the color. I only tried them on for the fit, and never rode with them. Here’s where things get even really messy. It took me over 10 emails to even get to a clarifying point about the time it took to ship them to me, the return policies, and the color of the items which they claimed were ‘exactly as they were on the website photos’. Talk about gaslighting. I’ve worked in the cycling industry for over 20 years combined and I have NEVER insinuated a customer’s perspective was flat out wrong. It pissed me off. They then kept pushing me to decide whether I wanted to return the items and I was doing all the legwork and calculations for returning the items so I could make an informed decision since they obviously weren’t interested in helping (also, ZERO attempt at any apology or attempt to meet me in the middle or make things right. Terrible.). So…the cost to return them was a nightmare of logistical negotiating. $37.45 shipping to return the items, Plus a 21% tax on the return shipping charge, which would bring the cost deducted from my refund to $45.31. Then, IF customs decides to open the package and impose a tariff fee on the item, that will be added to the deduction from the refund which would bring the original item refund cost to below 200EU (they’re located in Madrid, Spain), which per their return policy I would then be responsible for the initial shipping charge to ship the items to me (which was shown as being “free” on their website.), which also would be deducted from the cost of the refund, that being around $35, bringing the total deductions to around $85-$110. Subtracted from the original cost of the bibs, $278, that meant I would be paying them $85-$110 to simply try on a pair of bibs, and return them so they could re-sell them at full price. I’m paying them $85-$100 to re-sell their product. How messed up is that. Fit was great, everything else: absolute crap. Okay, that’s my two cents.

Don’t buy from the UK

If in the UK - do NOT order. My £200 purchase was slapped with £100 import duties upon delivery. OUAR do not make this clear at the point of purchase and are not interested in helping afterwards!

Don’t get stung

Bought jersey and bib shorts and got free socks as part of a bundle. Given free shipping to Uk. Package comes from Spain.
Email from UPS saying I owe £78 in taxes and fees before they will deliver my order.

take into consideration

Nice stuff, but...
1) Ridiculous shipping costs. Spain to Belgium 17€ for 150gr of package. I'm not sure with which shipping company you work, but you're getting scammed and you let your customers pay for your bad negotiation skills.
2) Additionally, due to your incorrect size guide, I had to return the package, costing me again 13€. When I requested if they could send me a new one they suggested I should pay again 17€. And probably again 13€ for returning it.

Thanks for wasting my time and money

Great stuff

No fuss, no gimmicks. Just top quality stuff. The Evo thermat long bibs are brilliant. First ride today in windy conditions. Love them. Best pad ever. They are going to protect me through winter!

Terrible Service

I placed an order with this company on March 31st to the value of £150. I paid for 'Faster Shipping' and waited a few days, however, I didn't receive an email to say the item had been dispatched.

I emailed the company and asked for an update, and got a reply 5 days after placing the order. I was told that they were closed for Easter and the order would be processed the following week. There was no apology, or anything.

I waited until the following week and still no product or email, so I wrote to the company request a cancellation. I wasn't prepared to wait because I needed the item for an upcoming trip, and I started to think they didn't actually have the goods in stock. It's a small company that's overseas, so it looks a little suspicious.

To my annoyance, the next day, I received an email saying the item has been dispatched. I wrote to the company and told them not to send it, and that I would refuse the delivery.

The response I got back was poor. They told me that I could refuse it, but any customs tax would be deducted from my refund.

I've never once received confirmation of when my order will be dispatched, nor did they ever apologise. This is pretty poor even for a small company.

It's disappointing because the clothing looks nice, and I did have a great customer experience when speaking to an rep through their website. He/she was super helpful.
