“You’ll be fine!” “Oh you’ll get another job!” These were the well-meaning words colleagues, family and friends said to me when my position became redundant in the company I had given everything to for 21 years. But I was struggling. After falling apart in a particularly disastrous interview, my confidence was completely crushed. I took up the offer of support through Outplacement First and was matched with Bill.
Bill was able to do what friends, colleagues and family were unable to - he listened, understood (he speaks from first-hand experience), gave me perspective and some much-needed professional guidance - in a warm, approachable and unpatronising manner.

Having taken redundancy after 21 years with the same company I took the offer to work with Outplacement First for career support. Matthew whom I worked with was amazing, through supporting me to re-write my CV and giving me loads of support in how best to use Linkedin and careers providers.

Having been made redundant from my previous organisation after twenty-four years, I wandered into the metaphorical grasp of Laurence feeling more than a little confused, uncertain and unsure of the new world which I was going to have to face into.
LinkedIn, CVs, interviews were suddenly a set of very different set of dynamics which I was confronted with, but I simply cannot thank Laurence enough for all of the support, guidance, wisdom, advice and experience that he provided me with.
Job search, even more so when one isn’t familiar with the process, is an incredibly lonely and frustrating place at times, but to know that there was a friendly face/voice there, one who was on my side and not with a vested interest, was enormously reassuring.

When my firm who were making me redundant offered to arrange Career coaching, I jumped at the chance and I wasn’t disappointed.

Bill was such a great support and help at a very challenging and already busy time.

He was a great listener and helped me think about what I really wanted. I was being pidgin holed by recruitment consultant and Bill identified and encouraged me to redo my CV with a management slant.

This resulted in my eventually obtaining a Sales Director Position which was perhaps 2or 3 levels above what other roles I was being initially set for. Bill I cannot thank you enough.

The continued offer to have another meeting even though I had got the job was over and above what expectations I had and all leads to extra confidence which I will take into the new position with me.

I recently found myself in need of outplacement after being with a company for over 15 years. As you can imagine I was in a scary place and a little lost, Matthew was amazing, he has supported me and we moved at pace to get my CV reviewed and updated with applications being completed with confidence.

What fantastic support I've received these last few weeks from Matthew! . For what can feel like a very challenging time the support and advise has been fantastic!
