My card was charged and customer support was kind enough to get me a full refund.

I am very confused about this company and thesportous.com. I never heard of either one of them and never joined any subscriptions or ordered any gift cards. I found that transactions were made using my Monzo Card for both of these companies, when I never use this card online for products, thankfully I hardly had anything much in this account. I found transactions on my statement and looked them up. I never purchase products online from abroad and have no interest for their products. They continued telling me that I had to have made the transactions myself, authorising payments and wouldn't accept that a scammer used my details. I also asked if they are connected to thesportous.com which they denied, however appear to have the exact same address. (Mariou Tritoftidi, 37, Hadjikyriakos Court 1, flat/office 7 Limassol 3115 Cyprus) In addition, the chatbot answers in the same way and email formating is identical.
The whole thing sounds a little odd and wondered if anyone has experienced the same? Their customer service as others have mentioned has been good, they respond right away and answer all questions , in addition to saying they will refund the funds.

After some further research on trustpilot for the other company "thesportous.com", I found that others experienced this, after entering a draw for 2 Euros on line, however no mention of entering any subscriptions or purchasing gift cards from another company. I recall, entering a draw also, however as far as I was aware, it was only for a draw and nothing else. No mention of any other company that you would subscribe to, then they withdraw funds from your account. I had absolutely no knowledge of this and received no emails after to notify me. This is clearly a clever tactic to scam people but also operating legitimately. If the two companies are not connected, which sounds like they must be, it could be that this other company copies the exact format and uses the Cyprus address as a fulfillment address. Very disceptive and clever in how they avoid certain questions through diplomacy and insisting it could not have been a scammer. Naturally because they are the scamner. Please be careful of this company and report if this was also done to you.

Truthfully I wasn't expecting a refund, and so then reaching out and considering the case was a great surprise.

I like the solution of the problems on the page. I have a problem with the members because I don't have any idea about this, but the solution of my problem comforts me.

It’s fraud! They’re creating memberships even though the user doesn’t consent and they cancel it after they’ve taking your money without selling anything at all! Fraud! I am located in Chile
