Takes money for order 4 months ago, has not shipped will not reply to email enquiries. Not sure if he is incompetent? a rogue? or just arrogant? Either way not professional and a warning for any future dealings with this guy he is not as he appears.

Purchased the M11 e-Book and video masterclass over two years ago. While he has produced several books in the meantime, the M11 book just continues to show "Coming Soon." Whenever I get more spam from him, I reach out about this product. Usually I get nothing back- sometimes I get It's coming... It's kind of become a joke. (Note- after two years, I contacted PayPal and got a refund the same day. YMMV)

UPDATE 5/9/2025 - I emailed once more to ask for the spam to stop and I received a friendly and polite response saying they would take me off their mailing list. It shouldn't have been so hard, but to be fair, I wanted to mention this.

I thought I would look into his courses but they weren't for me. However, I cannot stop the spam - every day, even having unsubscribed several times and emailed them directly saying to stop.
Not great for Leica to be associated with him - my opinion of Leica definitely has taken a dive because of this.

I get all the time spam-newsletters - I unsubscribed 10 times now and still get them. I think about getting my lawyer involved, just to stop that spam-shit!

I ordered one of his advertised camera bags, the Von Mini, for US$2198 in June 2024. It looked pretty nice on his website. The order page quoted "pre-order," signifying the bag had to be made to order, which I can understand. Not having any news after 10 months, I have been sending messages to all addresses I could find without getting an answer. This silence is worrisome, and all I can hope is that it is due to his constant traveling.

Backdrop: our online photography world is full of all manner of information: from useless "influencers" regurgitating known specs .. to "experts" extolling their fanboy-sponsored equipment in the best light ... to now the new, AI-generated "reviews" chocked full of images of the wrong cameras, no personality/names and a strange, creepy writing that gives away its origin.

Against that backdrop comes a old-soul photographer like Mr. Overgaard whose massive and fascinating resources online are among the richest and most-compelling.

His is an authentic voice of hard-earned expertise and photography's history along with a lovely humanity. My #1 site I keep returning to exploring its great depths. PS: much there will appeal to any photographer beyond Leica owners.

Along with his free resources online, the purchased product (digital-download) resources are even more in-depth, aspirational and satisfying. You can wait for the rare sale or just pay the list price. Either way, I think you will be quite happy with the new influx of inspiration and learnings from these resources.

And who else offers such in-depth learnings for a niche camera like a Leia Q3-43? I suspect that is part of why the prices are high: uniqueness and ultimate value to user. I have no problem with that.

The only recommendation I made to the (separate) e-commerce side is to tighten-up the customer interface aspect as it just goes dark sometimes where you don't hear a thing which is discouraging, Hence, the minus one star. Otherwise, this is a unique, 5-star resource of great depth for those who love Leica or photography's richness and history.

I purchased something from him, which was okay. But now I can’t stop the never ending flood of sales spam emails. They come in almost daily. I’ve unsubscribed at least ten times and sent them two emails. Sometimes the onslaught of spam stops for a month or two, and then starts up again, sometimes it doesn’t stop. Once you buy something from him or get on his mailing list, you’ll never be free of the spam.

I bought the Leica Q3 Video Masterclass. About 25% of the promised content is there. No activity in the last couple of months. I asked for a refund, but of course Overgaard support does not reply to any of my messages. Be carefull

In early June this year I purchased "Full Leica Q3 Pack by Thorsten Overgaard (eBook, video class, workbook and presets)." The price was USD 86.90 after discount.

The kit should include the following:
1. Leica Q3 Video Class: 12 videos for computer, iPad or smartphone. Comment: Most videos are missing
2. Course workbook: Checklists with assignments and drills. 40 pages. Comment: Missing
3. Leica Q3 Know-All e-book. 440 pages about the Leica Q3. Experience, tricks, how-to, sample photos and more. Comment: Missing
4. Leica Q3 Presets & Styles. Capture One styles & Lightroom Presets to get the perfect look in editing. Comment: Missing

Contacted Overgaard early without any response. Have asked for refund without any reply from Overgaard.

I also filed a complain with PayPal today. Already after one hour they claimed that a refund will be done within 5 days. Cross fingers.

I placed an order a month ago. When I didn't receive any news, I contacted the site again. It was explained to me that Paypal had not given them the shipping address (!). So I gave them my address in France. Since then, no more news. So I asked for a cancellation and a refund: I'm still waiting.

Please do not order any books or services from this seller. He has failed to respond to emails requesting a cancellation and refund on a pre-order. Additionally, he has not, to date, delivered majority of the content from a pre-order on Leica Q3. The business is not registered with BBB and doesn't provide a telephone number to contact them.

My experience is very bad. I ordered an expensive book and series. I did not receive any sending. Requesting information is not answered. I am going to report fishing at Visa. Hundreds of emails are sent with rebates for his birthday. This is excessive online marketing that I never experienced before. It shows all elements of a scamming business.

I paid for one of his Complete Pack offers which was reduced from $5,688 to just $299. Even with the massive discount I have to say that it still wasn't worth it. In fact I don't think what I got was really worth anything and certainly didn't teach me anything worthwhile. Now my inbox is filled with his emails trying to sell me more stuff even though I have inscribed many times.

I purchased the black camera pouch and expected a quality product, however after unpacking and examine the product I most say the quality and craftsmanship put into the product is outstanding and above expected, definitely suits the quality of an Leica camera.

I have had an interest in photography my whole life. Like a golfer, I fell into the "if I just buy this new lens then my photography will get better" instead of just taking more photographs.

Two years ago I decided to change my approach to -photography. I bought a Leica Q2 which is a better camera than I am a photographer. It is always around my neck. I am trying to slow down and see the beauty that is around us but is easy to miss in our hurry to go somewhere.

I found Thorsten on YouTube and learned a lot from him. I decided to go to one of his street photography workshops.

I learned a lot about how to see potential images, to make better use of my camera and to process the results digitally.

This is not a canned workshop with PowerPoint presentations. Thorsten tailors each workshop based on the location and the interest of the attendees.

The workshop is small enough that Thorsten can help you individually. I also learned a lot from the other attendees that we all face many of the same challenges.

If you want to improve your photography, I highly recommend Thorsten's workshops.

At first I didn't realize what I had learned.
The editing and especially the portrait shooting brought me a lot. In addition, the workshop gave me something new.
I dared to submit a picture (edited with TVO analog preset) to the Meistercamera street art contest. The picture has now been chosen for an exhibition along with 14 others.
It is amazing.

A common mistake when you fall in love with photography, is to think that buying gear will bring you talent. Not so.
When you're serious about photography, you need to devote quite a few hours, a couple days, to learn the craft by observing from someone who has honed his own craft for decades, like Thorsten Overgaard.
I had the chance to be in the footsteps of Thorsten, during a street photography workshop he organised in Paris, and it really opened my eyes on how to have the proper look through my freshly bought (used) Leica.
It is the kind of experience that "sticks" with you later, for hours of photographic pleasure. Not only did I learn about the technique but I was able to pick up almost on a philosophical level, an appreciation of life & light that is part and parcel of the craft of true Masters.
