I love the way overtone blends my grey hair with my dark hair. It is also so easy to apply and having a creme texture, it does not drip. It stays where I put it.

Good service, great product

I purchased strawberry blonde color deposit and it did nothing for my hair. I have light blonde hair and left it in for 30 mins and still nothing. They did not honor the money back guarantee because I tried to return it after a month due to a family emergency that prevented me from trying it before then

I used the pastel silver. My hair was very shiny and oh soft after rinsing. My hair was previously (8 weeks prior) highlighted with gray tones that immediately turned light brown/brassy so I didn't go back to my hair stylist. I want my natural gray to grow in and stop dyeing my hair. I was hoping the silver would have been taken up by the highlighted hair which it did some but not eough. It was my first time using Overtone so it could be more operator malfunction.
I purchased two other colors and will try them.
I love that there are no harsh chemicals.

I like the smell and the way it makes my scalp feel. Scalp health products that don’t build up are always a yes in my book.

However the indigo iris is more of a brighter blue than it is in the swatch pictures. My hair is brown with a bleached section under the top layer of my hair- I was hoping the bleached section would look like the dark blue in the pictures but it is more of a true bright indigo color.
I do enjoy how it tones my brunette portion but I may have to mix it with the black conditioner to get it to my desired color.

I have used the Ginger Coloring Conditioner for years, and they recently changed the formula to Ginger Glow Color Depositing Mask... it's terrible!
It has almost no pigment deposit and is just light orange. I used to love overtone, but it looks like they, too, have been affected by the cost cutting (and quality cutting) that many other have. Super disappointed.

Disappointed in the fact that the size of the daily conditioner has been cut almost in half, but the price is the same as it was for the 8oz bottle, which is now 4.5oz. I have to spend twice as much to get the same quantity I used to with the old packaging. Also, my subscription states free shipping, but I was charged $8.99 to ship, and no one from customer service has responded to my email. Also never received gloves for applying product. The only benefit is that the new daily conditioner formula doesn't stain your hands like the original did. All in all, feels like a shoddy revamp of products and services...not really impressed.

I love using the purple for brown hair at my roots and the magenta on my end for an ombre look. Recently my gray hair has been coming in and I have started to need to lighten my roots first so the Overtone will cover them. I love the minty scent!

The hair dye is great, but they are discontinuing the only color I buy and never have the samples in stock for a majority of colors. The packaging also varies every time I order it, some come with easy peel lids and others come with some thick lid. Also I have bought probably 10+ jars over the years and have now had 4 that were impossible to open without running under hot water and propping open the top with a knife, it seriously shouldn't be that hard to open a plastic jar.

The inside contents also vary from year to year. I have been buying the orange for brown hair since 2022 and recently decided to splurge on other colors, all those consistencies are vastly different from the orange, as if they are whipped, and much faster and easier to dye. I don't know if orange just doesn't circulate and gets old in the warehouse, but it's frustrating to receive products that aren't consistent every time.

Overtone is very easy to use. I love that I can color and condition my hair at the same time. So many colors to choose from, so I never get tired of my color.

color results were not the same and the mask has a weird smell to it, they used to smell so good. It isn't a good smell

I first used it several years ago and it was amazing. They changed the formula I think, now it is thicker, and difficult to apply, hard to get even coverage, and the espresso brown turned my light brown hair cherry chestnut. It faded out and looks dull within days. I followed the directions but it is just a poor quality product now. It’s sad because it used to be amazing.

Fantastic and easy to use . I love the range of colors and the options to choose beautiful colors.

I actually had a question about a defective Overtone product I bought through EBay. Even though I didn’t make an actual order through Overtone, the customer rep was so nice to me and let me know based on the pics I submitted, the product was not legit. I had been having trouble ordering through the Overtone website and she troubleshooted me through it. I am grateful she was kind, even though we were not dealing with an order I had originally made through Overtone. Thank you all for exceptional service even in weird situations!
