Avoid!

Do not buy anything that has been graded by this company!

I bought a pgc grade 10 card as an investment. Did my checks and as it should be, the card was registered on their database.

12 months on I sold the card and now the buyer has requested a refund due to it not being registered on pgc’s database.

I contacted them to ask what was going on and was told that a select few cards were lost and there’s nothing they can do about putting it back on and that if I want to sell my card on that the buyer can email them and they will confirm it’s legitimate! Cowboys. Stay clear and go to a reputable company like psa.

Criminal organisation

Con artists selling graded 6-7 cards as 10's. They grade their own cards and resell. Threaten people with lawyers if you request refunds. Needs to reported to police and further investigated. Criminal organisation.

Scam company for sure

Scam company. Definitely just a bloke who buys on eBay, grades them all a 9 or 10 himself then sells them on at extortionate prices, or prices that PSA should fetch, not ‘PGC’. Be careful of username ‘loveablealice’ on eBay, was collectible card shop now changed names. Don’t get scammed by this conman!

PGC Grading sells their own graded…

PGC Grading sells their own graded cards on eBay under the alias collectable-card-shop. They also have a website under the same name. I accepted an offer on a 1st edition Charizard. His wife claimed it was a typo and offered me a 1st edition Blastoise at a decent price directly from their website, if I removed the negative feedback. I did this and purchased the Blastoise using the discount code provided by his wife through eBay. He then cancelled the order again saying there’s no way he’s selling it for what was agreed between me and his wife. This is twice now, I said I would amend my feedback to negative and he replied saying that’s extortion and blackmail 🤣 so as a paying customer who has been let down twice, I find it within my God given right to share this with you all so you don’t have to deal with this terrible company. This eBay is what his wife sells his own graded cards from & they are rougher than tarzans feet.

Unjustifiably optimistic grading scores

I have come across several Pokemon cards graded as "PGC 10" with this company - meaning GEM MINT. However on closer inspection of these "graded" cards, I found several flaws, far beyond what is reasonable for an Excellent or Near Mint card, let alone Gem Mint.

Many of these "PGC 10" cards would most definitly score a grade 6 or 7 max with the other, more established, grading companies.

PGC seems to be getting popular among sellers trying to pass a poor condition card for a grade 10 or grade 9 and therefore making more money from poor condition cards.

Buyers should be aware of this before thinking they are getting a good deal with PGC graded cards.
