Inhumane response to a refugee appeal

I received a parking fine in Arnhem while trying to pay using my Ukrainian banking app. Unfortunately, the transaction failed due to technical problems — most likely caused by ongoing Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure that day.

I paid as soon as I could (about 30 minutes later) and submitted a formal appeal, explaining the situation, including my refugee status under temporary protection in Germany.

The appeal was rejected — coldly and without any understanding. No empathy, no flexibility.

This company represents public authorities, yet treats people like numbers. Shameful and inhumane.
