Today I received my order which I'm totally unhappy with returning it.
1. The packaging for each item was non-existent and had clearly been thrown into the box as each item was bereft of the actual box they should have arrived in!
2. There are notches and scratches on the mandrels which indicate they are certainly not new tools and have been used. Photographs attached to PM.
3. I placed 1 order for 4 items then ordered another mandrel a few minutes later via your website. I've been charged twice for postage despite the additional item arriving in the same box as the original order.
I am a professional jewellery designer and constantly ordering tools and supplies and as a new customer of Palmer Metals I'm bitterly disappointed with this order.
I wish to return the full order for a full refund. I run a network of 120,000 subscribers and on this occasion, I will be highlighting my experience of Palmer Metals negatively.

Complete snake chains
I purchased complete snake chains and am happy with the packaging, delivery time and the chains themselves. Nice quality, just what I was looking for. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

Massive price increases
Palmer Metals was my go to supplier for 10 years. Now I only use them for items I can't buy elsewhere. I find that since they updated their website(which isn't always easy to find the things I want) some of the prices have rocketed sky high compared to previous prices and other suppliers. I used to recommend, not now.

We are sorry you are unhappy with our current prices, however there are a few factors that influence our prices which include.
1.General inflation.
2.The cost over silver has increased dramatically over the last 2 years
3. Brexit has caused the cost of importing goods from around the world to increase.
4. Various suppliers over the world have increased there manufacture costs and part of that cost includes a separate labour charge which has also increased due to how each country has handled the pandemic and impacted there work force.
5. A global pandemic has not only impacted the manufacture of good from across the world but also increased demand for findings in general, which has also pushed up prices.
6.lockdown has created a shortage of packaging materials due to the increase in online sale which again has pushed up prices .
While we always endeavor to offer the best prices we can we have not increased prices very much over the last decade ( some items not at all) but due to the factors listed above we have had to increase prices where necessary.
We are happy with the items we supply and we feel they are competitive.
