Great customer service throughout the…
Great customer service throughout the ordering process. Online market had a variety of Panama food items. Item arrived sooner than expected. I highly recommend this online store. Looking forward to out of stock items to be restocked soon (e.g.,Panama beers). The only hiccup I experienced were the shipping costs. More shipping options need to be available for customers. DHL carrier service is very expensive. Shipping was over 70 dollars for a 2kg package.

Regarding your feedback on shipping costs, we would like to explain the situation. Previously, we were able to offer much more affordable shipping rates (starting at $15 for 2kg packages) through Correos de Panamá and EMS Panamá, which operated via the USPS network in the United States. However, due to issues with tariffs imposed by the U.S. government on Panama, these carriers suspended their parcel services to the United States. Consequently, we were forced to switch exclusively to DHL.
Unfortunately, this also affects our stock of certain items. We are currently unable to restock Panamanian beers because DHL does not allow the shipment of alcohol. These types of products were handled through EMS and Correos de Panamá, and until those services are restored, we cannot ship them.
We sincerely apologize for these inconveniences, as they are unfortunately beyond our control. We truly appreciate your understanding and your support for our store

The 35 DHL shipping fee from Panama to the United States is actually a reduced rate we’ve negotiated. Normally, DHL international shipping on this route is often over 70, and we work to keep it as low as possible for our customers.
The extra charges you paid to DHL (taxes, customs duty, and their handling fee) are not set or collected by Panama Market. They are required by U.S. customs and charged directly by DHL when the package is delivered. These charges are separate from the $35 shipping fee you pay on our website.
We completely understand that unexpected extra costs are frustrating, and we’re sorry this impacted your experience with us. Your feedback helps us improve how we explain these charges before checkout so there are no surprises.
