Course didn’t deliver — experience didn’t match the public persona & refund became an 11-month ordeal.
The “Self Mastery Program” didn’t deliver for me, and the refund process turned into an 11-month ordeal.
From the timeline and communication I personally observed, the behavior behind the scenes did not match the polished, disciplined public persona shown in the group or in his marketing.
I purchased Steve Papps Snr’s “Self Mastery Program” in May 2024. By November 2024, I met the conditions required, and requested the advertised “full refund, no questions asked,” because the content wasn’t what I expected and leaned more toward subjective style material instead of practical guidance.
After I emailed requesting the refund, he set up a call saying he needed to “confirm and organise my request.” I later realized the call wasn’t about organizing anything — it was aimed at talking me out of the refund. He said that by asking for the refund I was basically saying I got no benefit from the program, asked how I would “feel” about that, and suggested it came down to “whatever my values are.” I personally interpreted these comments as attempts to dissuade me rather than honor the guarantee as written.
The published refund policy clearly stated:
“You will be refunded the full amount, no questions asked.”
My experience did not reflect that.
It was not “no questions asked,” and it was not paid promptly as the policy implied.
Although I requested the refund in mid-November, he didn’t ask for my payment details until almost three weeks later — which, in my view, showed the delay began immediately.
From December 2024 to October 2025, the refund was drip-fed with:
missed dates
changed amounts
slow replies
repeated promises that did not hold
Under the Consumer Guarantees Act, when no timeframe is specified, services and remedies must be provided within a reasonable time. In my view, an 11-month process falls far outside what would normally be considered reasonable in business practice, where refunds are typically handled within days or weeks, not nearly a year.
In my assessment, the process was not reasonable, not consistent with the wording or spirit of the advertised guarantee, and not aligned with the professionalism promoted in the course.
For anyone wanting a more professional alternative, Wade Houston looks to be a better option.
