Unwilling or too stupid to correct errors

I reported an error.
I was asked to explain.
This alone is stupid, because it could have been verified via internet search.
Then I explained, and nothing happened.
It's pointless if informations are wrong.

Hi Wolfi. Really sorry to hear about the issues you have been experiencing. We have now had a chance to look at the issues you raised in relation to parking data in Germany; more specifically the nuances in relation to the differences between P+R vs P+M parking. First of all, we would like to thank you for pointing out that there was in issue as it has given us an opportunity to delve deeper into the subtle differences. Our aim at Parkopedia over the last 13 years has been to provide accurate data and to work with the ever growing community of drivers to achieve this aim. I can confirm that our German data team will now be reviwing all relevant locations to accurately determine if they are P+R locations or P+M locations. Many thanks.

The curse of Facebook editors everywhere

I’m not sure how this can be a legit outfit when it has to put its pointless weblinks on completely irrelevant Facebook pages for village halls and so on.

Great idea (if it worked)

Great idea (if it worked)

Tried yer again to pay for parking, but they ask for card details before asking where/when you need to park.

Complete waste of time, used JustPark instead

Hi. Thanks for the feedback and really sorry to hear about the issues you encountered when trying to pay. It really is very unusual for these glitches to occur; so we hope that you give our service another chance!

Do not waste your time or money. Rubbish service.

The website would not accept the date I wanted. It took me 10 inutes of trying this and trying that before it finally accepted. I had to try to pay three times before it worked. I'm nearly 25 minutes in by this point. The website confirmation said click here for parking pass ... but nothing happened. It says I would receive an email with a parking pass - but I never did. I sent message via their web-site support for help, and overnight they said they resent the email - I never received. I asked them to text it .. but nothing. ON THE DAY I HAD TO PARK SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!!! I will try to get my £8.75 back but i don't have much hope.

Barcode wouldn't scan

Barcode wouldn't scan, but fortunately the guy at the NCP car park in Nottingham let us out. I think I should have just booked it through NCP website and not through Parkopedia. We all learn I guess, it won't happen again !!

Hi Michael. Thanks for the feedback . We are really sorry to hear about the QR code issues that you experienced. It is very rare for this to happen but we realise how frustrating and inconvenient it is when they do. Hopefully it hasn't put you off using our service again.

Didn't deliver

A very quick and easy to use website but they didn't deliver. When I got to the car park the bar code didn't work. The barrier wouldn't open. I had to get cars behind me to reverse out so I could get out. I then paid again as I was already now late for a wedding. Sometimes things don't work and I accept that. What I don't accept is that it took ages getting a refund for which several tel calls had to be made. I asked for a free car park voucher but they said they didn't do any kind of compensation. In the end it took me a lot of time and effort. It wasn't worth it.

Hi Valerie. Many thanks for the feedback. Reeally sorry to hear about the issues you encountered. We don't actually provide telephone based customer service; so perhaps it was a different provider you are thinking about? If you could email bookings[at]parkopedia.com we can take a look for you.

Zero or minus rating for Parkopedia

You If you had a zero or minus rating for Parkopedia’s app or website I would give it. Why Oxford City Council have a contract with them I cannot fathom. I wanted to save time in the morning because the parking machines at thornhill park and ride are dreadful. I have just spent an hour trying to find out how to book and pay for parking using both Parkopedia’s app and website and failed miserably. They are far more interested in you wasting time building a personal profile and telling them how wonderful they are but actually, aren’t. Wasted time this evening and will doubtless waste x amount of time tomorrow using their ticket machines. Come on oxford city council review their contract. There are plenty of other car park managers who you can book parking with in a jiffy.

I will never use them again!

I will never use them again!! I used parkopedia for a large event I had to attend and knew parking would be an issue. I followed the direction that were given to me, but evidently took me to the wrong garge. The garage I ended up parking in was behind the one I had reserverd. I contact parkopedia immediatley and asked for a refund since I was not using it. I was told because their directions are correct and it was my fault I couldn't find the correct garage that they cannot issue a refund. Not only was that ridiculious but the cost I ended up paying was $15.00 less than what they had charged. DO NOT USE!!!

Hi Diane. Thanks for the feedback. We are sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with the address supplied for the parking lot you reserved. Having checked the parking pass and having contacted the parking lot owner who supplied the address; we can confirm that the correct details were in fact supplied. This of course does not mean that your parking experience was any less stressful for you and for this we can only apologise.

WARNING - misleading & unreliable

I used the Parkopedia app via a link sent to me by Traveldoge for a stay I had booked in the centre of Carlisle, UK. The app showed 24 hour parking for £12.00. I arrived at the station main car park at 6pm on Tuesday and I went to leave at 2pm Wednesday and was charge £24.00 as the 24hrs is calculated from 3am. NO WARNING OF THIS ON THE APP!

When I emailed the company to complain I pointed out the following information taken from their website: Parkopedia's Quality Policy Statement says they will 'comply with all legal requirements, codes of practice and all other requirements'.

Parkopedia's Governing Law and Jurisdiction documents say 'These Terms and Conditions (together with all documents referred to in them) are governed by and construed in accordance with English law'.

The Advertising Standards Authority state the following rules in regards to misleading website information:

Communications must not materially mislead or be likely to do so - their website clearly states 24hr parking in Carlisle main station car park as £12 for 24hrs - it cost me £24!

Communications must not mislead the consumer by omitting material information. They must not mislead by hiding material information or presenting it in an unclear, unintelligible, ambiguous - Parkopedia's website mislead me by not specifying the calculated 'from time' of 3am.

I asked Parkopedia to reimburse my additional expense of £12 due to the misleading information on their website, however they have refused, saying 'Parkopedia does not own or operate any parking locations'.

So I am reporting the MD, Eugene Tsyrklevich and Parkopedia to the Advertising Standards Authority, Trading Standards, Watchdog and all Parkopedia's corporate partners including Travelodge, who passed on the link to their website.
