Poor Transparency Around PCP Finance
I recently entered discussions with Parkway Volkswagen Leicester regarding a new Volkswagen Tiguan Black Edition.
Initially, the deal discussed was approximately £560 per month with a final payment of around £18,111, including a service plan as part of the overall package. After paying a £549 holding deposit, I later received revised figures showing a lower monthly payment (£524.70), however this had been achieved by increasing the final payment to over £20,000 and removing the service plan from the finance structure.
While I understand PCP figures can vary depending on residual values and specification, these changes were not clearly explained at the time and I only identified them after carefully reviewing the documentation myself.
Unfortunately, once I began questioning the structure of the agreement and the changes in figures, the experience became uncomfortable and the communication felt increasingly defensive and hostile rather than transparent and customer-focused.
To their credit, the dealership did agree to refund my deposit following my complaint.
Overall, I would encourage anyone entering a PCP agreement to carefully review the full finance structure, including the final payment and included products, rather than focusing solely on the monthly figure.

Marcus was a great salesman. Worked the figures to where I needed them to be and prepped the paintwork to a high standard including some corrective work prior to collection.

Seems that communication is a problem here
From the start it wasn’t good agreed that the car needed a brake fluid check and agreed the work to be carried out but the actual work wasn’t carried out no explanation I drove off thinking it had been done didn’t know until I checked the work sheet. Got the video of the faults being told my spark plugs were overdue and needed changing and was quoted for the work shouldn’t this have been flagged on the service schedule, also was told after that it was included in my service package so why wasn’t it carried out. And
Also to be asked why I wanted to cancel my plan thought this would have been self explanatory not very good at all.

First MOT and service of my VW Caddy. Chose the collection and redelivery option. Van collected early morning - updated via message and a video of progress. Advisories highlighted and easy payment process. All works completed and a clean, shiny van returned to me 😀

Friendly service
Friendly service. Knowledgeable and spot on advise. Coming on to 5 years now and the Leicester branch had always impressed with the work that they do on our family car. Not to mention the car is also washed in and out.
There has been times when I think maybe providing a curtesy car would help on the day when the car is being serviced and I hope they consider it especially when you have little ones at school and nursery.

Bought a car from Kane who was extremely helpful. Was originally looking at a cash purchase but Kane explained the benefits of the PCP so well it felt silly not to go that route ! Wife was over the moon with the car. Would highly recommend Parkway !

I had a genuinely great experience with Ryan at Parkway VW. Even though I didn’t end up purchasing a Volkswagen, Ryan went above and beyond to help me with a Tesla I was considering. His knowledge of the Tesla was impeccable, which really stood out given it’s not even the brand he represents.
What impressed me most was his attentiveness and attention to detail. He took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for and was able to ready the car so promptly for collection. This made the whole process smooth and stress-free. It was refreshing to deal with someone so professional, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful without any pressure.

Customer service was shocking. Took money and then spoke to us like rubbish. I have never had service like this from your other branch(Northampton) but won’t be returning too any after the service we received from the staff
