Easy Passports Is A Scam, Ripoff
Found Easy Passports website to renew my US Passport. I filled out what I thought was a US passport renewal application, paid Easy Passports $129.85 on my credit card, and received no confirmation of payment for my application. Easy Passports has a link on their website which turned out to be the US Department of State application, which you must fill out, pay another fee, and mail the application yourself. In reality Easy Passports took my money and did nothing.
I disputed the charge with my credit card company, but because Easy Passports stated their website is for "informational purposes only" my credit card company could not get me a refund.
I found the US State Department website, filled out the renewal application and mailed the application and renewal fee directly to the US State Department myself.
Easy Passports is one of dozens of these so-called companies that makes you believe they are legitimate when they say they provide passport services but just take your money.
