I have been trying to create a profile…

I have been trying to create a profile for days and keeps getting denied. I have upload multiple pictures with my pets to offer my services as a sitter and keeps getting denied as they use AI to analyze the pictures. This is ridiculous and staged! The pictures are in line with their so called examples. I have uploaded more than 20 pictures now with my dogs and my profile keeps getting denied what is even the purpose of this app

Update: they did confirm my account but still was a very stressful process. Keep in mind not everyone has a million of pictures with their pets, usually we have more pictures of our pets

Edit in response: Hi Elizabeth, thanks for the update! The requirements are pretty basic and shouldn’t be stressful for someone with the experience you describe. They exist to ensure sitters are qualified and to protect pets. We clearly ask for 5 gallery photos showing you caring for pets upfront.

AVOID this company

AVOID this company! I wasn’t getting any activity or bookings on my account so contacted support, they responded claiming they had sent me an email and had not received a reply, and that there was no confirmed booking for the specified dates. They had permanently suspended my account but with no warning, only when I contacted them did this show. Wow I have never come across a more appalling business than this.
It’s no wonder there’s no one is using pawshake when the customer service treats its customers like this. Customers that would have bought revenue for Pawshake but I guess that’s Pawshake’s loss.

We’d like to clarify that you were not a customer using Pawshake’s services, but a service provider operating on the platform. This distinction is important, as your experience relates to your role as a sitter, not as a client of the marketplace.

Pawshake does not suspend sitter accounts arbitrarily or without reason. Account suspensions only occur where there has been a breach of our Terms and Conditions. It would be illogical for us to remove active sitters from the platform unless there were serious concerns around compliance, trust, or safety — all of which are essential to protecting both pet owners and sitters.

One of the most serious violations is attempting to take bookings or payments off-platform (for example, requesting cash payments). This bypasses the protections we provide and results in immediate suspension. In such cases, prior warning is not required, as the breach itself is sufficient grounds for account action.

Maintaining a safe and fair environment for both pet owners and compliant sitters requires enforcing these policies consistently.

Regarding your comment about not being contacted: it is each user’s responsibility to ensure their registered email address is correct and able to receive communications from Pawshake. We do send notifications regarding account actions, but we cannot manage individual inboxes. Please ensure your email is set up to receive our notifications.

If you believe your account has been suspended in error, you are welcome to contact our Support team so we can review your case.

Our first experience with pawshake

Our first experience with pawshake. Did message a few people and then stopped getting responses or the date I put in bought up a list of people who I assumed could do that date but couldnt. i think was meant to be as the people that looked after our dog were brilliant would definitely use pawshake again . The only problem we did have was we lived a long way from the people we needed to care for our dog so we had to chance it but did meet briefly the day before so it gave our dog a little bit of a chance to get to know the people and them her it was helpful that they had looked after a Rottie before.

I used Pawshake to locate a dog-sitter…

I used Pawshake to locate a dog-sitter for our two dogs during our recent 16 night holiday. The app is very good at presenting the various people willing to provide this service and the chosen dog-sitter was excellent. What wasn't so good was the inflexibility of the app for the dog-sitter to offer a discount for longer stays, if they wished. As a result, the dog-sitter had to momentarily reprice her fee, me make the booking and her accept, and then for her to put back her original price. Therefore, I consider the app not to be developed enough in its application but the service of Pawshake to be reliable (we had no use of any of the benefits offered, so I can't confirm the reliability of that)

TERRIBLE LOW BUDGET SITE

TERRIBLE LOW BUDGET SITE - instructions for deleting account and all my data says go to profile then select settings - however there is no option for settings. PLEASE read your own instructions and update your site.

I WANT MY ACCOUNT SND ALL DATA REMOVED PLEASE.

Just to clarify I had nothing outstanding on the account to pay nor was I alerted at any point to any such ISSUES ON MY ACCOUNT so what was this ISSUE you speak of? Because you are trying to make it sound like I had outstanding debts on it?

Your account and all associated data were fully deleted on the same day you contacted our team requesting this. The reason you were unable to delete your account yourself is that there were outstanding issues with bookings/payments, which temporarily prevent self-deletion. This measure is in place to protect against fraud and ensure the security of all users on the platform.

Edit for clarification:

To clarify, there were no outstanding debts on your account. The issue related to bookings that were still in progress (i.e. unfinished or requiring account management to resolve). When this occurs, a temporary account restriction is automatically applied, which prevents a profile from being deleted.

We do not allow members to delete their information while enquiries or bookings are still active, as this can create confusion and complications for other users involved - especially if a booking is mid-transaction/confirmation.

Once the outstanding booking matters were resolved by our team on your behalf, the restriction was removed and we proceeded to delete your account for you.

Excellent Carina cat sitters.

Carina fed my cat when I was on holiday, she was excellent and so kind fudge has a new bestie. She sent daily videos and pictures, she spent time to play with her. I couldn't be more happy.
I was worried about leaving her for so long I've only left her 2 or 3 days before, I had no need to be concerned she was very well looked after. After the first day looking at the pictures and videos I knew she would be fine.
I would highly recommend her.

Don't waste time trying to find a cat sitter who will look after your cat in their own home

As someone in Clayfield looking for a cat sitter to look after my cat in their own home while I am away overseas for a month or so, the Pawshake app is absolutely, completely, annoyingly, hopelessly and utterly time wasting and worse than totally useless.
The filters I put in did not even filter out the dog sitters from the cat sitters (more dog sitters than cat sitters, etc., etc) and this was only the one of multiple filters completely ignored by the Pawshake app - in fact more filters were ignored than taken into account in the non results suggested by Pawshake !!!!!!!

This type of service is generally not suitable for dogs, who require more hands-on care and attention. Cats are territorial animals, and Home Visits allow them to stay in their familiar environment while being cared for safely.

Regarding the filters, most sitters offer services for both cats and dogs, which can sometimes make search results appear confusing. The advanced filter option allows you to specifically select sitters who provide services only for cats, which should help refine your search.

Serious Safety Concern for Pets

During a recent booking, my dog ingested one of the dog walker’s gloves, requiring emergency treatment including Xrays, general anaesthesia, and an endoscopic procedure to remove the glove. The dog walker did not apologise or acknowledge responsibility, and Pawshake’s response was limited to a brief apology without further action.
Other pet owners should be aware and take extra precautions to keep their pets safe.

We’ve reviewed the situation carefully. Both you and the sitter were present at the handover when your dog took and ingested the glove. This incident reflects on both parties, as the glove was taken directly from the sitter’s pocket during the handover. As the dog’s owner, you are ultimately responsible for your dog’s behaviour, including any damage or risk to other people & their property.

We encourage reflection on your dog’s training and habits: does your dog normally take or ingest other people’s property? What training measures have been implemented to prevent this type of incident? These factors are important for ensuring the safety of your pet and others. It is not reasonable for the sitter to assume your dog was so poorly trained that it would steal items of clothing directly from her body.

Pawshake does not engage in disputes where a pet owner is not taking responsibility for their dog’s behaviour. While we regret that the situation occurred, liability for the damaged property lies with the dog owner, as your dogs lack of discipline caused the incident.

What a great service. Used pawshake in Blenheim so we could do a wine tour. Fantastic to know my dog was in safe hands at someones home all day. Highly recommend this service. I had great communication and updates through the day.

Excellent service

My cat sitter was able to visit us at my home prior to me leaving for my trip, and she was very good about confirming that everything was going as planned prior to my departure. She was kind enough to send pictures of my super senior cat nuzzling with her and eating - my cat was obviously very comfortable with the sitter as she did not hide away. This service is also very affordable and has given me the confidence to travel again while using their services. It was a pleasure using Pawshake. I traveled from Jan 27 - Feb 2/26.
