This company doesn't exist anymore - here's why!

As the others here said, PBPros were referred to us by legit people, and maybe PBPros were legit at some point, but not last year when I started paying them $65 every month. They paid my taxes late after my having to reach out to them time and time again.

Turns out, they were acquired by Incite Tax because they couldn't keep up, and now we have been told that the plan we 'signed up' for (we did NOT sign up for a plan with Incite) will cost $350 per hour to speak to a CPA. A classic case of the innocent being caught in the middle of two companies who couldn't care less about their 'valued clients.' Both companies have earned a one-star review from us.

I submitted my documentation August 27

I submitted my documentation August 27. It's now December 7th and they have not done anything. It has not been completed, it hasn't even been started and they can't tell me where it stands or when it will be done.
We requested an extension which ran out in October. I asked if they submitted a new extension and they said they couldn't (for some unknown reason). But, they said, if there is a penalty or interest, it should be minimal - if that's supposed to be comforting.
Emails do not get answered for days and my questions do not get answered.
PBPros? Pros? This is amateur hour. Go somewhere else.

Don't Let Them Do Your Taxes!

Please heed my advice.

After purchasing a business, I was recommended this company as small-business friendly. After signing up, they did my 2021 only for them to completely mess things up. Mind you, I've never had these issues in the past so the level of stress was through the roof. Add the fact that it would take 2-3 days for them to answer simple questions like "what is this charge and why am I being charged it" or "should I pay?" It was an utter nightmare. Silver linings, maybe: they fessed up to it early on and indicated they would help pay which certainly made me feel better. After all, 2021 tax season was all kinds of crazy.

No silver linings after all: when it came down to paying me back, they gave me the run-around. I was passed from one person to another and my preparer was clueless - had no idea I paid on penalties owed to the IRS and claimed they were abated when they were not. I spent 3 months trying to figure this out and navigate a very confusing small business accounting environment only to end up on the phone with an awesome IRS agent who was able to shed light on how awful and dishonest these folks are. I was able to get most of my penalties abated myself and will be filing a complaint against the prepared and company.

STAY AWAY!!
