Ordered tv with WALL install from store…

Ordered tv with WALL install from store (£135 for install).

Team arrived as planned but no bracket to fit tv to wall so tv went back.

Next day went to store and complained plus bought bracket.

Tried to rearrange install on a day I was off work but they refused. So took another day off and agreed with store manager and customer service over the phone - even got txt message to confirm - team turned up had bracket but no TV this time! Jeez!

Went back to store and tv has been sent back to main warehouse, so would have to wait again! Again they refused to change my install day for the third time.

I tried to swop order to a different tv they had on stock in store but nothing similar available!

So got refund and will buy else where! However I am 2 days out of pocket ref wages!

If I could give PC World laptop repairs…

If I could give PC World laptop repairs zero stars I would. You people should be ashamed. My son's Acer laptop battery failed within 12 months purchase (ex demo), but told by the salesman everything on the laptop was 100 percent, (again complete liar, Solihull branch). Packed up within the 12 months, took it back for repair, to be pushed from pillar to post by people who haven't got a clue on the other end of the phone. I am Dell certified & know a battery failure, pure & simple. Please trust me, there extended warranty's are a complete joke.

Staff Costing Sales

I went to Currys PC world in Galway today to buy a 32 inch LG Tv. I Was told by a shop assistant (man in his early 40's english accent) that Curry's don't do 32 inch Lg Tv's i questioned him twice he start to get abrupt and shutting me down telling me they don't exist we have 40 inch but not 32. The TV I went into to buy was sitting on a shelf in a box along with 4 more. So i left and went to Harvey Norman and bought it there. I think ye need to hire better staff as they just cost ye a sale.

31/12/2019 I reserved on line for collection in shop dry fryer -- after driving 30 km and wasting 30 min time - I find they sold my reserved item. Very rough staff, zero responsilibity. Completly wasting time to deal with them. Better go to defferent shop insted to Mahon point in Cork.

Will never buy anything from currys

Absolutely horrible customer service, go an American fridge freezer I have specifically told in the store that I live in flat top floor and no lift, the customer assistant reassured me that everything be ok. The day of delivery the the delivery guys 2 not 4 as per instructions could not get the fridge up. When I rang customer service that have lied to me that there was no delivery for Friday only delivery for Wednesday also told me that I would have to ask another 2 people to help and I will get my fridge up. I am very unhappy with the conversation from customer service nothing resolved and no refund offered for the delivery ( as I don’t have the product) for the inconvenience that was caused, so I have to take another day off and loose income as store made a mistake in filling out a simple form.

Will never buy from Currys again

I got a laptop 4 months ago from the Liffey Valley branch and has been back for repair twice. I went in AGAIN and demanded a replacement or a refund and was not sending for a third repair. They are so unhelpful, wouldn't listen when I said that under Irish law they can't make me send back for repair and have to offer replacement or refund, kept saying company policy. I said company policy doesn't overwrite the law but got nowhere. Has to be repaired 3 times for the "same fault". I really can't grasp why they would want to give such bad customer service, how can a laptop worth a few hundred that they claim from HP anyway be worth it. I will never buy a thing off them again and I have bought a lot over the years and nor will anyone in my family. I am taking them to the small claims court as they are out right breaking the law.

Purchased the Huawei mediapad t3 in Curry's Waterford yesterday, very satisfied with the product I bought, I did find the staff a bit lacking. No one approached me whilst viewing the tablets and laptop's, I had to call a member of staff to assist me, however I did explain I had reserved the product in advance online and didn't receive my discount and the staff member did assist me with the discount and my purchase, so very happy with purchase, but I can see how their customer service is lacking .I had contacted the Curry's.ie website with the query regarding my discount and got no reply!! Honestly if they could retrain and invest in their staff and customer services Curry's would be excellent overall!!!

My issue is ongoing, no Laptop for 4months now

My issue is ongoing. But the long-short is, they lost my laptop that was sent for repair. It fell outside of its warranty while in their care, so the repair team would not repair it, I had to find a similar laptop of the same spec and was told it would be shipped to me. I am now 4 months with no laptop.

Avoid them at all costs

The long story. I left a laptop into the TeamKnowHow at the Carrickmines store for repair, it was inside warranty. They never contacted me for 7weeks (i was told it would take 6) They have no phone, and the online TeamKnowHow can not contact the stores. I had to call back out to the store (i don't drive), they couldn't find it, they said they would look and call me, but never did so another 3weeks lost. When they found and it was sent back to the store by the repair team as it was now outside of the warranty. I had go back out to the store, spend over an hour instore explaining to 3 different people the story before a manager approved a similar laptop that was in stock for replacement but expected me to pay the 150 difference in price. (what a joke) So instead Ben found a laptop he could ship to me with a €40 difference that he could cover. That was on the 6/7/19 and i still waiting for my Laptop. I have had countless phone calls and emails to teamknowhow and no one has resolved my case

Update 12/08/19
Still waiting to receive the laptop. The online team sent me an email and wiped there hands clean saying they won't help. I had to call out to the store again over the weekend as they don't answer the phone. Turns out they lost the replacement laptop too. They sent it to the wrong address. The incompetence and lack of ownership here is on the level of unreal. 5 MONTHS NO LAPTOP

Lenovo Legion Gaming Laptop

I bought gaming laptop in November 2017. Customer support called me straight away to confirm the delivery address and etc. I was pleasantly surprised as this was my 1st purchase over this website/store.
Laptop came for 3-4 working days as promised and up to date is still working like a Swiss clock.
Only disappointment was that warranty has expired in September 2018 instead in November, what is less than 1 year. I found out this when i went on Lenovo support webpage to purchase additional 1 year warranty what was not possible.
Also i would advise store owners to try to improve availability of gaming laptops on webpage, overclockers.uk have much more choice and better offers/discounts. I will still consider if i will buy my next laptop in pc world or not.

Avoid this place at all costs.

Avoid this place at all costs.
The staff are mostly incompetant and dishonest about products and spec.

In my case they packaged up an inferior product and passed it off at the sales counter. I noticed this "error" as i was walking out of the store, I returned immediately, and was told they could not sell me the original product I had just selected instore that day as it "wasnt in their system". This was after they had already charged the a few hundred euro to my card.

At this stage the actual product I had selected was sitting behind the sales desk boxed up and ready to go, but I was told I could not have it, and would need to talk to management to resolve the problem.

After a period of time waiting, an extremely unhelpful, dismissive and frankly rude manager arrived. He was unable to provide any solutions, information, or basic manners. At this point the only options I had been presented with were: 1, leave with the inferior product, or 2, take a refund on my card which would then take two days to complete.

In summary, I thought I was buying a monitor, but instead it turned out I took a couple hours off to drive over and loan PC World a few hundred quid.
- Hopefully they're good for it, but i wont hold my breath :(

Terrible terrible customer service paid…

Terrible terrible customer service paid for a software installation on my sons new pc as he was turning18. The computer was thrown at me in store in Liffey valley Dublin got home none of the code and accounts work and these were attached to the top of the box for the home set up then found a piece of paper in the end of the box with the right codes made a complaint in store and to customer service which is a uk call Centre and no one is accountable uk can’t deal with Irish store and the manager just shrugged it off as a mistake asked to be contacted by a area manager to discuss further and never heard from anyone. Not good enough it I pay for a software install I’d expect the papers attached to the box to be correct not thrown in the end of the box on scrap paper I will never shop here again

Currys PC World IE Web site nightmare

Went to web site to order range cooker on currysPCworld IE.

10% discount code (RANGEIE2) plastered all over the place.

Went to checkout but discount code not recognised.

After several failed attempts I telephone customer services and as per usual end up speaking to UK call centre.

I was told web site was having trouble accepting vouchers etc and to hang on as he agreed code did not work.

While on phone I use goggle and find 2 other discount codes and the second one worked.

I wanted installation of cooker and web site says to add this option at checkout but checkout does not give you this option.

More calls to customer services and was repeatedly told nothing can be done as purchase was on Irish web site.......HELLO!!! and I would have to call into store.

Well I live in rural Ireland (hence using web site) and nearest stores are Cork/Waterford and Limerick ALL over an hour away)

I email customer.services .....NO REPLY
(UPDATE email SENT 9th...REPLY 14th from Team Knowhow..thank you)

I Tweet CurrysPCWorldIE .....NO REPLY

I message CurrysPCWorldIE Facebook and again I am told that due to purchasing on Irish web site I would have to call into store.

Many messages later all I get is a repeat of nothing they can do and apologies for web site but NO mention of doing anything about it.

Not one to give up I contacted yet another number given out on Irish website that turned out to be Team Knowhow and after a little explaining a very nice young man booked me in for installation...............what a palaver!!!!!!!!

I shall add further comments after delivery and installation this Thursday Thu 17th January......please God all goes well

Update for delivery (Team Knowhow)

Team Knowhow were a credit.

Arrived within allotted 2 hour time schedule which was updated on website and took away old cooker and all new cooker packaging... 5 stars

Terrible

This company has taken a page out of the Ryanair and Eir customer service manual, impossible to speak with anyone that is willing to be deal with issues until you start posting comments like this online. The company is best avoided as they have no interest in the customers needs, only taking their money and handing out faulty products. Eventually I settled for a refund and only then (1 month later) did customer service contact me about my issue, it's a little too late to close the stable door when the horse has bolted!

I took my laptop to be repaired at the "Team Knowhow" desk at my local store. After two weeks I got a call from their workshop saying the repair was complete at the cost of £300... this on top of the £60 initial payment at store... ambiguous pricing)) After a further week I hadn't heard from them to say my pc was ready to collect at store...I called, when finally got through, was told my laptop had been sent to wrong store/lost! They weren't sure if it had been sent to Cheltenham or Darby? ...no one thought to ring/contact me to explain this or reassure me that my £1000/15month old laptop was safe or that the matter would be resolved soon etc:)) A further week/six calls, no apology and a 34miles round trip to the store ......I finally got my laptop back. In all I find this company dishonest, using bad training/business practice...Won't shop there again. As long as they feel they have the monopoly on goods this terrible service will continue? Wish I'd read reviews before using ?
