Below Average and Terrible Company
This tool is below average but the worst part is they won't let you cancel. There is no option to cancel and when you email them, they still don't cancel it. You literally have to block it through your credit card.
I had to report it as fraud and get a new card just to cancel.
This is a terrible company. Learn from my mistake and stay far away from them.

The only thing I still need to practice is redacting PDFs. It seems there’s a trick to making sure everything is completely removed.

Worked on one out of five files. Why bother?
I have asked it to convert five files. First one went very well, and I was happy. All of the others gave me a message that it exceeds what Candy could do for free and offered to sell me Candy PDF Pro. These were not particularly complex files. It is worthless.

Would buy again - if I ever have to!
I bought a lifetime license in 2018 and have found it very useful. Just changed my hard drive so needed to transfer the app. Had to contact customer support to move the license but all worked very smoothly (still on version 2 but it does all I need). Definitely getting my money's worth!

Very misleading the way they get the user to upload a pdf to work on it and then you CAN'T delete it no more from their archives UNLESS you pay them for a Plan.
Untrustworthy way to force users to pay.
Please keep away for your good!
Edit: if it would be true the reply this review got from pdfcandy then they should print in big letters BEFORE the guest (free) user can upload a file to edit, warning them that the only way to delete the file afterwards is to have a paid account.

PDF Candy looks great and offers useful tools, but beware — you must make a purchase if you want to delete a file you've uploaded. This isn't made clear upfront, and it can catch you off guard. If you're expecting full control over your files for free, think again.

Lifetime Licence = Version-Locked Licence
I purchased a lifetime licence, but when they upgraded to version 3 my licence stopped working. Their reply was to quote their End User License Agreement: “Updates may be licensed to you by Icecream Apps Ltd with additional or different terms but Icecream Apps Ltd has no obligation to provide any updates.”
If that’s the case, then calling it a lifetime licence is misleading. It’s really just a version-locked licence. A true lifetime licence should continue to work across upgrades. Instead, I’m left with outdated software and a bad taste. There are better alternatives on the market that don’t play word games like this.

I installed PDF Candy based on the review in pcworld.com and I did so from the link in the review.
I was VERY careful and watchful of trickery to get me to install PUP (potentially unwanted programs). Nonetheless, it happened anyway. I installed 2 PUPs and didn't get PDF Candy. I think the fault goes to PC World for allowing this to occur. Download only from pdfcandy.com, not from pcworld.com.
