Same old same old

1 euro for a week, nowhere did it say it was a recuring charge, took 50 euros from me. For anyone reading this from the eu, invoke european customer rights, you have 14 days to void any contract or purchase. After invoking my rights i have finally received an email stating that pdf guru has issued my refund. Now its all just a waiting game to see if i have to take this matter to the authorities, but they know better than to mess with european law. Know your rights guys. Shame on them for these deceiving practices

Paid for a one-day usage and they later deducted £49.99 for a ‘monthly subscription’ which I did not request nor was I made aware of. E-mails contesting the charge went unanswered forcing me to register a complaint with Mastercard. TOTAL SCAM - AVOID AT ALL COST!!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Total con. Paid .99p for 7 days. Thought that was it. After 7 days charged £49.99. Only needed the service for 1 day. Asked for a refund as have no intention of using the service and they have refused. DO NOT USE.

I have been misled to pay 50 euros in order to make a modification to a PDF.

I signed up for what was presented as “7-day limited access” for €0.99. This game me unlimited downloads for a week.
At no point did it clearly say that this would turn into a €49 subscription. Apparently it’s mentioned somewhere, but it’s in very faint grey text that’s easy to miss.

There was also no reminder before the renewal and no notification when the charge actually happened, which made it even more frustrating.

As soon as I saw the charge the next day, I contacted support and explained that this wasn’t intentional and that I hadn’t really used the service beyond the initial access. They still refused to refund it.

Overall, it feels designed in a way that people are likely to overlook what they’re signing up for, and then get charged anyway.

I’d strongly recommend being very cautious before entering your payment details.

SCAM, take the money and can’t download my pdf

Beware of this site which purports to offer you a one-off service for 0.99 but then charges you £49.99 a week later. Do not use and certainly don't give it your bank details.

Scamming.. ask for one time fee and subscribe monthly.. scam..

My wife got scammed over £50 . They offered a service where from under a £1 you can extract the text of a PDF file, however with this service you get subscribed for a year at a cost over £50, you do not notice straight away as they just bill you just under a pound and a few weeks later take the extra £50+ for the yearly subscription that you never signed for. Tried to recover my money and it was a total waste of time. Total SCAM so don't use them

This company offer a free service, then charge 99p. They will wait a while then send an email that you will have to scroll down to see they will take £49.99 from you and more every month. Paypal will side with them and you will loss your money. Dirty scamming scumbags.

Last week i tried translating a pdf file in english. Not only didnt translate me anything but this evening they took 50 euros from my bank account?? Stupid site

This company took money without authorisation as I has merely tried their so-called FREE software once. They refused a refund on the spurious grounds that ‘subscriptions’ made online were non-refundable in accordance with their policies! Furthermore, the free translation into English from a European language that I had tried as a sample was woefully inadequate, with large gaps where the original remained. This company is not to be trusted.

I used the service to translate a document and wasn't entirely happy with the quality so I paused the subscription. I noticed I was still being charged so I cancelled my account entirely but I was still being charged weekly. After multiple emails with customer service who insisted I hadn't cancelled my account, even though they themselves couldn't find a record of my account, I provided bank statements. They finally agreed to refund me but I noticed the amount was substantially less because they claim my bank is charging me conversion fees from dollars to euros DOUBLE the amount! So instead of paying a weekly subscription of .99 euros, I was charged 1.92 euros per week multiple times. This is ludicrous because I have other subscriptions in US dollars being charged to my euro account and there is no inflated conversion fee.

BEWARE: STAY AWAY. Guaranteed you will regret. If only I have read here first their dodgy review. They will offer you US$0.99 supposedly 1 off use ONLY. Their site is designed to hide the details and confuses you. But once they got your bank details, they will start AUTOMATIC deductions monthly = US39.99 /AU$64.17. And forget appealing to them, all they want is your money.
