I've seasonal allergies and via peak pharmacy I ordered and promptly received desloratidine. Having already tried all other options, this is the first antihistamine that actually works for me. In combination with nasal spray (corticosteroid).

One of the best delivery pharmacies I've ever used.
I initially created an account through their website and ordered my prescriptions that way. However, I quickly realised that the best approach is to set Peak Pharmacy as your nominated pharmacy and request your prescriptions directly through your GP practice. This avoids the extra 2–3 day delay caused by the pharmacy having to request the prescription and wait for the GP to approve it.
Since switching to that method, everything has been smooth. My prescriptions have always arrived within five working days, often sooner. The whole process is reliable and hassle-free.
If you're disabled like I am and depend on receiving your medication on time, I honestly can't recommend them enough. It's such a relief not having to worry every month about whether my medication will arrive when I need it.
The only advice I'd give is that if you receive a one-off prescription rather than your regular medication, it's worth giving them a quick call after a couple of days just to make sure they've seen it. In my experience, most one-off prescriptions have already been processed by then, so I've rarely needed to chase anything. The staff are always professional, efficient, and helpful.
For the first time in a long time, I no longer have the stress of wondering whether my medication will arrive on time. That peace of mind is invaluable.

Over the past year, following a house move I've experienced the services of a local branch Peak Pharmacy for the first time, for my repeat prescriptions. While they dispense medications fine just like every other pharmacy I've used over the years, unlike the rest they seem very wasteful when it comes to packaging - one gets the sense that care for the environment is not a corporate priority?
First, it's the first time for some years now I've seen a pharmacy when there is more than one medication being dispensed using a PLASTIC bag to put them all in. Sure, the bag boasts it's made from 50% recycled plastic - but this is still yet another plastic bag! Soft plastic recycling is not yet widespread; you have to work at it (collect all your soft plastics and take to a local supermarket that takes them) - and so many of Peak's customers will simply throw the bag away. It then becomes unrecycled waste.
Worse, for whatever reason, nearly every month my 4-5 monthly meds are split between two bags, one plastic and one paper; it's not a volume issue, everything would happily fit in just one paper bag. This time I was given 3 meds in the paper bag and 1 in this huge plastic bag, both then stapled together! Why?
Second, when a pharmacist needs to break up a manufacturer's box (e.g. they need to dispense a blister pack of 28 tablets, which are supplied in boxes of 2x28) they use a white box. These come in a range of sizes which a pharmacy will stock, and every other pharmacy I've used pretty much always manages to use the appropriate size. My local branch of Peak however often uses a box that's far too big - I've just been dispensed a 4mm thick blister pack of tablets in a box 4.5cm deep.
When I gently pointed this out to a staff member in store, her response was well, it depends what size of boxes we have in stock at the time - and that we wouldn't want a van coming out to us simply to resupply a particular size of box. Of course not!
While there will always be an occasion when any pharmacy may run out of stock of a certain size of box, I've noticed in the 9 months I've been using my local Peak Pharmacy that this happens a lot. That suggests they aren't so good at keeping on top of their stock resupply orders of these white boxes - like anything else any retail outlet stocks, the skill comes in a reordering practice that as much as possible stops anything from running out of stock. This skill must be lacking - or they've just become complacent about this?
The staff member I spoke with reassured me the box was recyclable (just because I'm in my 60s it doesn't mean I'm slow or uneducated!) but as I pointed out, energy and water went into making the box in the first place, and more energy and water will be used when it's recycled; both in proportion to the amount of material the box contains.
I also tried calling Peak's head office in Bolsover, Chesterfield about this; I was told that with feedback to give I'd be put through to a member of the 'superintendents team'. But they just got defensive, pointing out that my local Peak was a very busy one (not that I've noticed anywhere as busy as several pharmacies I've used before in Greater Manchester, before moving) and that what was important was that customers were dispensed the correct medications.
Yes, of course that's a pharmacy's #1 priority, but many businesses nowadays are passionate about BOTH delivery of their main corporate purpose AND caring for the environment, as part of their corporate social responsibility.
All this suggests that care for the environment is not a corporate priority for Peak - it starts at the top. I'll be voting with my feet and moving my pharmacy script filling to a competitor - my partner uses the local Morrision's pharmacy, she like me is passionate about the environment, and tells me they get these things right!
[post review submission edit, in response to Peak Pharmacy reply: Thank you for an intelligent response to my review, without getting defensive! Glad to hear you care about the environment, and will pass on my comments about excessive (and plastic, even if recycled) packaging for prescriptions. My local Peak pharmacy has stood out for me, because it's the only one where I have ever seen the packaging issues I've observed, since moving house a year ago and them becoming my local pharmacy for repeat prescriptions (and I have a few!). I've moved quite a bit over the years and every other pharmacy I've experienced gets this right - as does the Morrisons pharmacy in the same town which my partner uses - so it shouldn't be hard for you to improve in this area! Thanks again.]

I have been with Peak Pharmacy sine January 2026 for the weight loss service [GIP/GLP-1 agonist] and I remain consistently impressed by the level of quality of service, support, reliability, and professionalism they provide for a very fair price. They are a service that I highly recommend word of mouth and wanted to update my impression of them now that I have been with the service for 6+ months.
