Alison from Southampton was great

Had a Viewing for a place with Alison and she was an absolute delight, very professional and took the time to show us around the property in a timely manner. We were very appreciative of her taking the time to explain about the property and giving us a detailed tour of the building. She even gave us a copy of the letting paperwork making it easier for us to understand key things we needed to know. She's the best agent we've had a viewing with to this day.

Not a positive experience

Used Pearsons in Clanfield - we had our property up for sale for 7 months with them.
One issue after another, I wouldnt recommend using them.
My biggest issue that I have with them is; the sales coordinator wrote an Email to my brother about my personal situation (we are both beneficiaries) and it is now being used as evidence against me in court but it isnt accurate and has been twisted.
This isnt professional and everything needs to be transparent to protect the rights of both beneficiaries, not to take sides.

Also asked several times for some more photos to be done of the front garden as there werent any put online so potential buyers were put off when they saw the extent of the garden.

They didnt vet their buyers properly and we had 2nd viewings from people who hadnt even sold. We also had disabled people who viewed but werent able to access the property.

After those incidents I couldnt trust them anymore.

Nothing to be done from this, as we have ended the agreement but just to make people aware

Time wasters

Time wasters. Nobody in the office anytime you ask for someone who deal with renting properties. After a week someone finally answered, give my details and nothing back. (Portsmouth area)

Horrible rat experience that never got sorted

Started off a good experience but moment we got into the house we had issues and Pearsons Southampton didn’t really do a lot. So after a week of living at the house we heard noises in the loft which turned out to be rats. We spoke to the neighbours as both sides said no they couldn’t hear anything. We reported it to Pearsons and they got pest control out and they came out 4 times in total. They told us the issue has been going on for years due to our loft being covered in droppings. It was horrible laying in bed hearing them running around above your head and running around in the bathroom and under the bath. Pearsons told us that the rats had to be gone first before they started filling holes. Weeks passed and the issue was getting worse and Pearsons still didn’t do anything. We finally had enough of being ignored on emails and not getting any answers on phone calls so we went in there and the person (the manager) who told us that holes will be filled once rats have gone was now telling us that holes had to be filled straight away but they never got a contractor out to do it. After a month I couldn’t handle it anymore and had to move into my parents place and stayed there whilst i hoped the issue would get solved. But nothing! In the end we received an email saying if we wasn’t satisfied with the experience then we will have to pay an exit fee to leave. We tried to fight this as we got an email from Pearsons from our landlord saying the issue has been going on for months as they have spoken to neighbours who originally told us there was nothing…so they really rented out a property to us which wasn’t fit for purpose. However, Pearsons never got the issue solved and have rented out the property again. Horrible experience and will never rent from them again.

Awful customer service for tennants

We rent a house from Pearsons Southampton, they're a nightmare to deal with for any maintenance issues. The day we moved in our neighbours warned us that they've seen rats running in and out under the front door, we let them know and they did nothing. A few weeks later we first found evidence of rats inside the house, they sent out a pest control company who put down poison and recommended several holes are filled. Pearsons refused to fill in the holes until there was no evidence of pests, meaning the house was exposed to any number of rats entering in the meantime. After much arguing we managed to get them to fill the holes, they sent out a guy who didn't really know what he was there for so only filled in holes that we were personally able to point out to him. Another few weeks later the rats were back, and had spread to other rooms of the house. I called Pearsons and asked them to send pest control to check for other points of entry, they said they would call me back and later I instead received an email from them refusing to do so. Other issues I don't have time to go into detail about include unsecured gas pipes, a collapsing garden wall and partially collapsing ceiling. I would avoid renting from them unless you get a building survey of the place done as if you were buying it as they clearly have no quality control for their properties and are resistant to fixing the issues when you find them yourself.

Mark and Sam at Pearsons n Winchester…

Mark and Sam at Pearsons in Winchester couldn't have been more supportive and helpful with our move from Winchester to Cromer on the Norfolk coast.
Nothing was too much trouble for them and they went out of their way to keep us up to date with our progress.
I'd thoroughly recommend them to anyone who wants a safe pair of hands helping guide them through their house sale or purchase...
