Awful experience
After care is an after thought. I have not heard from the company since March 2023 to fix a leak and damp patch reported several years ago. Still waiting.
the worst company
We had windows done in April, thankfully we used their short term finance. The work was dreadful. They did come back and get it to 80%. They made and offer of a 50% reduction in cost ,we went with this and paid. The building manager was the most pathetic man I've ever met . So if they have gone down the swanny , they only have themselves to blame.

Followup to review left previously (Updated 18 May 2023):
After several emails regarding a refund for lintels they charged us to install but failed to do so, our refund remains unpaid and our emails totally ignored. You talk the talk when responding to reviews, but you dont walk the walk when we follow instructions, Pennine.
We have sent one final email, hopefully this one will not go ignored like the rest because we would like to resolve this without further escalation.
I would strongly advise anyone looking for windows to avoid pennine at this point.
We were charged for lintels that they had no intention of installing, were promised a refund for the cost of the lintels (but not the cost of installing them, we noted!!) when I spotted that they had not been installed. Dishonest at best, but not making good on the promised refund after months of waiting and ignoring us just shows what you can expect in terms of aftercare. They were brilliant at communicating, right up until we handed over the money...

This company went into liquidation this week without telling their customers, we were due to have the windows installed next week. I'm now 5k out of pocket as they accepted my payment without telling me what was happening. I'm sure I'm not the only person who will have lost out. laws need to be brought in to prevent this.

This is a positive review of our recent experience with the new project management and now skilled /experienced operational team at Pennine.
We are pleased to say that over the past 4-5 months we have now reached a long awaited realistic agreement on a quality finish and have received our 20 year guarantee certificate. We had our windows and door fitted in 2020 but had several significant concerns about the fitting and the finish. Since then we experienced a catalogue of similar of problems and frustrations listed in some of the reviews on this site. Too many to repeat.
We now believe that appropriate effort is going into resolving the internal issues in the company and want to acknowledge this effort and much improved communication , decision making and quality of the workmanship that has resulted in , finally, satisfied customers.
Non-existent aftercare
Non-existent aftercare. They've now shut up shop to open under a new name a few miles away.

The second time I have started the process of getting a window replaced on my conservatory under the “20 year guarantee”. The first time it took about a year. This time I first reported the issue in February, numerous emails and messages left (as no one ever picks up the phone). Had an appointment last week with a time slot between 9-12pm. No communication to say the engineer was going to be late, hung around until about 2pm and they must have came after this time. Tried to call the aftercare team, no answer. Have emailed again, no answer. Perhaps I’ll get a response on here?
Never known customer service like it.
You never get a reply from them
Emailed, rang & filled in online form.
Not one reply from any.
Absolute disgrace.
Utterly horrific aftercare ‘service’
Utterly horrific aftercare ‘service’. They literally don’t answer the phone, reply to emails or deliver on promises. I must say for balance that the quality the building work that was done is very good and I’m more than happy with our extension… it’s just a shame that the level of service does not match. We still have no skirting boards fitted (didn’t turn up to the appointment) and the front garden still had half a tonne of bricks and bag of sand that’s sat there for four months
Total Lack of Customer Service
External door on new conservatory (almost 6 months old) jammed & would not open. Rang Pennine several times. Each time every extension I tried went unanswered except one which had a message to say they were too busy to answer calls so send an e-mail. I did but received no reply. I later rang Wakefield Head Office - Conservatory Outlet - and was promised someone would call back. This was 2 days ago. The promise on their website states:-
"24 Hour Emergency Lockout Service
If the locks on your Pennine door ever fail, just give us a call. We’ll come and let you in anytime, day or night, and fix the fault."
This is absolutely not my experience.
We have had to pay a Locksmith to fix the problem. He said the workmanship was appalling and the door is warped and should be replaced. He is happy for me to give Pennine his details if they wish to talk to him.
This is in addition to a leaking roof problem which we had immediately following installation which took three further visits to fix.
I wish I had never heard of Pennine.
Not happy! Can't contact them...
We had replacement windows and a door fitted in April 2022 and we are happy with them HOWEVER we have been trying to contact them for over two months now to arrange the promised annual maintenance check with no success. Our emails and messages are ignored and phone calls are unanswered.
DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGE…
DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGE POLE. Had a front door fitted in April 2021 which was faulty. Contacted Pennine the following day and they agreed the door had to be replaced. Then had 2 years of empty promises of a replacement, unanswered emails, unanswered phone calls, no response from formal complaint and still no replacement door. On top of that threatening emails asking me to pay the balance. Shoddy company.
Does not pay to put Pennine in the frame.!! Run a mile!
If I could give no stars I would! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Our Orangery is not yet completed a year after it was started, not able to get it passed via building regulations as Pennine have not provided any information asked for despite numerous phone calls, emails and even a letter to the CEO who has not replied to us or building reg surveyer.
Operations Manager does not reply to any contact even putting phone down on me when he realised I was a customer!!
No aftercare whatsoever so no guarantee which was promised when we signed the agreement.
Absolute shambles of a company.

Absolutely no customer service or after…
Absolutely no customer service or after care service . Complete joke of a company. Windows fitted over a yo ear ago with 2 windows to be replaced and French doors to be repaired. After numerous attempts to contact and promises to return our calls nothing. Only contact was a call about someone else’s windows last November . In February this year a put a review on here and what a surprise had a reply in half an hour . We we told we owed £2500 . My husband emailed receipts and was emailed back by Head of customer service . According to him it was confirmed we had paid and he would sort work out this was on 10/02/23. We have now received an email from finance/hr assistant to say we still owe £2500 . The best part of this is they have told us to get in touch with them when they don’t answer the phones or emails. So yet again no communication.UPDATE. This morning my husband has received a email to say we have paid and it was sent in error for the 2nd time. They have made an appointment for the 13 July to sort problems out . After reading other reviews I’m not holding out much hope of them turning up. They have also asked me to remove the names of members of staff . But it seems ok for them to say that we haven’t paid when we have . Still will not recommend to anyone.UPDATE after reading the email they sent to my husband again I would like to inform Mr Grant that he has an appointment in the 13th July .

After sales is as bad as the fitting service We have been waiting 18months for MAJOR repairs E mailed telephoned just nothing I am going to trading standards or small claims court now Do not use this company so much stress and poor workmanship

zero after sale support - forget your warranty.
We had windows and front door fitted, within the warranty the door wasn’t supportive of the brickwork, emailed for advice… ignored, read that’s what what their modus operandi is, funny enough their sales department contacted me afterwards, I do need some other work done, mentioned the door, sales calls ended, in fact they’ve phoned a couple of times and hung up after 1 ring… must have a note on file, laughable really. Avoid at all costs!! You will NOT have any after service once the work is done.
Edit: the response below from Pennine is in itself laughable, it’s an absolute lie - I’ve had no response and why would I say “thank you for agreeing to replace the windows” when it was a flipping door that I was needing fixed 😂, if you’re going to lie to cover your backs at least make it believable. Even lower in my already terribly low estimations!!!! AVOID!!

Excellent service from start to finish
Excellent service from start to finish. One day after I visited the showroom I had a gentleman out to quote for a replacement bay window. The price was very reasonable so I went ahead. Surveyors were there within a week to measure up and the installation date was agreed for six weeks later. On the day of fitting, the fitter (Dan) arrived on time , was extremely polite and conscientious and got the job done effectively without any problem. I am very pleased with the end result and would definitely use Pennine again.

The aftercare is non-existent
The aftercare is non-existent. Our installation was OK but after 6 years we needed a service of our 2 doors which had become unlockable. The glossy brochures say there's 24 hour service for such emergencies but there really isn't. I waited 6 months (propping the doors sut with chairs at night) and was constantly fobbed off, resulting in me following their complaints process (again no response or action). I feel I was mis-sold to and so contacted the financial ombudsman as a next step. They couldn't do anything as this company are not registered with them! So what it says on their website is incorrect. I would avoid even if product looks good as you've no leg to stand on if anything goes wrong.
The response below does not acknowledge that I tried to arrange an appointment 8 times over a 6mth period and was well aware that I would have to pay for any service. It was only when I had to start propping a chair against the door that I requested an urgent appointment and again I would receive one which never materialised. I was consistently fobbed off by the customer care service, the staff in which need further training

PLEASE DO NOT USE PENNINE! YOU WILL REGRET IT!
Don't be sucked in by these cowboys. After the multitude of issues we had getting our windows and doors fitted there were a few minor issues that needed addressing which I highlighted at the time the job was signed off and was promised that someone would be out to rectify these problems. Over a year later and no one bothered to come out, so I rang them to arrange the annual maintenance check (which they brag about as part of their aftercare service) but surprise surprise, I could not get through to their aftercare team. I sent an email and eventually got a response saying they would come out on 13th March, however we received an email on the day saying the appointment was cancelled due to a problem with their vehicle and that they would be in touch asap to rearrange. A couple of weeks passed and I hadn't heard from them so I emailed again to arrange a new appointment. They arranged this for 25th April, however yet again they cancelled on the afternoon of the appointment blaming......a vehicle breakdown. What a coincidence! Still haven't heard from them to rearrange despite trying to call, leaving messages and sending emails. PLEASE DO NOT USE PENNINE! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Fitters Kyle and Dan were brilliant
Fitters Kyle and Dan were brilliant, couldn’t ask for anymore from them, from start to finish kept me up to date with everything and anything, clear plans on what each day would entail, as quite and As least disruptive as possible (considering it’s a noisy job) and always ensured everything was clean and tidy before leaving.
