Pen Plot Studio Reviews

Written by the company

**Pen Plot Studio** is a Netherlands-based sole proprietorship specialising in pen-drawn artwork created with vintage pen plotters from the 1980s and 1990s. We operate a curated collection of authentic legacy machines from manufacturers such as HP (Hewlett-Packard), Roland DG, Houston Instrument and other historic brands to plot your designs, illustrations and data visualisations line-by-line onto high-quality paper. At **Pen Plot Studio**, we offer two core services: **1. Plotting Service — Bring Your Own Design to Life** Customers send us a digital vector file (SVG, DXF, PDF) and we convert it into a physical artwork. Our vintage plotters draw every single line with real pen and ink on 120lb/250gsm stock paper. The result is a unique piece of analogue technology — not a digital print, but genuinely hand-drawn art. Available products: - Poster-size plots (up to A2 depending on plotter capacity) - Greeting cards and invitations - Architectural drawings and technical illustrations - Data visualisations and infographic-style works - Lettering and typographic compositions **2. Plotopia (plotopia.art) — Custom City Maps** Our newest service for custom city maps. Search any city in the world, choose a specific area (neighbourhood, city centre, personal location) and have it hand-drawn by our vintage plotters. Every road, every square and every landmark is rendered in pen and ink lines. Perfect as a gift, interior decoration or personal keepsake. ### Why Choose Vintage Pen Plotters? In a world of digital prints and mass production, we choose analogue authenticity: - Every plot is unique — no two are exactly alike due to variations in pen pressure and movement - Visible line work — you can see it's genuinely drawn, not printed - Nostalgia and craftsmanship — these machines were once essential for architects and engineers before CAD printers became affordable - Sustainability — we give historic technology a second life instead of storing it in a museum - Handmade quality — every piece is personally set up, tested and packaged by us ### Location & Availability Pen Plot Studio is based in the Netherlands and operates as a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak). All orders are personally handled by us — from vector conversion and plot quality control to final packaging. We ship worldwide. (with some exceptions if delivering is problematic) ### Contact & Communication - Website: penplot.studio - City maps service: plotopia.art - Email: hello@penplot.studio - Lead times: typically 5–10 business days for standard orders, longer for complex or large-scale projects ### Reviews & Trustworthiness We value transparent customer feedback. This Trustpilot profile is used by our customers to leave honest reviews about their experience with our services. We respond to every review and strive for an Excellent TrustScore. **Please note:** Pen Plot Studio has no affiliation with any other businesses sharing similar names. We are not located in Australia, we do not offer writing software, and we are not linked to storytelling platforms. Our sole specialty is analogue pen plotting with vintage hardware on physical materials. --- *Last updated: August 2026*See more
