Easy and effective communication and very good homepage 👍

Our week-long stay at Masseria Stella del Monte was truly memorable. The villa was large and spacious with two living rooms, an indoor dining room as well as an outdoor dining area, each with a long table that seated 16 of us. Whilst it was too cold to use the outdoor pool, we did enjoy the spacious garden and well manicured grounds. The kitchen was well appointed with beautiful SMEG appliances and even had a large 0.9 meter oven. Each of the 8 bedrooms had an on-suite bathroom which meant we did not need to share; this was incredibly convenient. One of the bedrooms was in a trullo, separate from the main house, which was very cute. The furnishings and paintwork of the villa still looked brand new. The indoor lift was also helpful, especially with our luggage, and there was ample parking for many cars. The villa is near Cisternino, which is a very central location in Puglia and made it easy to drive and see other towns, including Matera in the west, Lecce in the south, and the seaside towns up north. Any gripes? Hardly any: two shower brackets came off the wall but these were an easy fix. As we were tourists, providing a list of local restaurants, nearby supermarkets and local attractions, such as olive oil farms, would have been helpful. The booking agent Barbarhouse was helpful and easy to deal with. Overall, an excellent villa for a large party.

We had a wonderful stay in Ostuni, villa Ca della Roccia! The villa itself is truly fantastic, built and decorated using only the finest materials. Rooms are all furnitured with a mix of antique pieces and traditional artesan objects.

The plan of the villa is divided into three sections, a set of bedrooms a separate living room and a separate outdoor kitchen. There are kitchenettes in all bedrooms.

The Villa is surrounded by a wonderful and well kept large garden with olive and fruit trees as well as other plants and flowers typical for the region. The lawn is also really big, perfecly suitable for family soccer games. There are next door neighbours, but the seclusion is excellent and the level of privacy is high. You can enjoy the garden as you like. The pool area is in the middle of everything. It is beautiful and nicely decorated with flowers and rocks. The pool itself is not very big but it serves as a perfect refreshner. There is a modern surveillance and alarm system installed.

As for the service provided by Francesca and Perle di Puglia, it was top class. Francesca is friendly, super efficient and very responsive. Communication with her was easy and fast and we had so many nice conversations about things in general. She was even able to arrange with parasols when needed :-) Thank You :-)

Very last minute booking one the day, the arrival at our booked accommodation was less than expected and used some very deceptive photographs.

Andrea came to the rescue showing some alternatives that could be booked, prepared and checked in all very efficiently.

We booked a nice villa several months in advance. 5 days prior our arrival this villa suddenly wasn‘t available anymore. The alternative offer was less comfortable, and pricier, but we had no choice: our flights ( also from US) were already booked. We tasked the concierge to provide stuff for the breakfast because we had a very late arrival. Not provided. We asked for transfer to the airport after our stay. No answer. Phone calls not answered. And now we are asked to give a review in Italian. Unpleasant experience.

The booking and booking process are smooth. The staff were always helpful and friendly.

What a magnificent stay in Casa Rafaella!!!Most gracious and pleasant hosts I ever rented from. Duly reflected in their magnificent house that lacks no comfort, is a spectacular visual delight and equipped to a very high, luxurious standard. The house is spotless. The pool and outdoor are are equally as fantastic. We really loved the area - it is a quiet village where we felt immersed into Italian life with local people ( felt very welcomed by the neighbours, shop assistants and in other services) and it was a perfect base to explore Salento. We were very comfortable and the children loved it! 5 stars doesn't do justice to the wonderful, warm and friendly hosts and their magnificent home. We felt as if they were our good friends taking care of us. If we come back to Salento, I would definitely stay here again. It was absolutely perfect!

We stayed at Villa Floras for one week with friends. The villa was fabulous. It was immaculately clean, the rooms were all of a high standard and, because it was so spread out, everyone had a bit of privacy. We were very well looked after by the manager, Francesca.

I had emailed Barbarhouse/Perle di Puglia prior to booking to check there were 10 sunbeds around the pool area and was assured that was the case (we were a group of 10 adults). Unfortunately, that was not correct. There were only six. It was a pity neither the owner nor the agency could correct this for us during our stay.

In addition, it has taken almost two months to get my security deposit back (but now that has been sorted).

These two points resulted in 4* rather than 5* review from me but shouldn't detract from the villa itself and wouldn't put me off using the company again.

Wir verbringen seit 14.07.24 unseren Urlaub in der Villa Carlita (Carovigno). Bei Anreise sprachen wir die Mitarbeiterin von Perle di Puglia auf die Baustelle auf dem Nachbargrundstück rechts von uns an, worauf diese sagte, dass kein Lärm zu erwarten sei. Am ersten Morgen unseres Urlaubes (15.7.) wurden wir um 6 Uhr morgens von 2 Baggern geweckt, die bis zum Nachmittag mit Außenarbeiten beschäftigt waren. Auf Nachfrage bei der Agentur Barbarhouse, ob man uns ein anderes Objekt zur Verfügung stellen könne, wurde uns geraten an den Strand zu fahren, um so dem Lärm zu entgehen. Wir zahlen für die beiden Wochen in der Villa Carlita 5.963 Euro, damit wir einen ruhigen Urlaub in der Abgeschiedenheit Apuliens genießen können. Hätte man uns, so wie es vorgeschrieben ist, über die Baustelle informiert, hätten wir ein anderes Objekt gewählt.

Doch damit nicht genug: die schöne Villa Carlita hat im Laufe der Jahre Federn gelassen, so dass das Interieur reichlich abgenutzt ist (Schimmel an Duschvorhängen und an Bildern, abgeplatzte Farbe an Heizkörpern, Verschmutzungen in den Toiletten…). Als wir den Zustand des Hauses und die nachlässige Reinigung bei der Agentur Barbarhouse bemängelten und durch Fotos belegten, wurde darauf nicht reagiert. Auch ist die Ausstattung des Hauses sehr „günstig“ gehalten (Geschirr, Schüsseln, Gläser). Bei einer „Luxury Vila“ (so die Beschreibung auf der Homepage) und einem Wochenpreis von annähernd 3.000 Euro kann man eine gehobene Ausstattung erwarten.

Leider ist das noch nicht das Ende. Am zweiten Tag unseres Urlaubs wurde dann Baustelle Nr. 2 im Nachbargrundstück links mit Baumfällarbeiten in Gang gesetzt, welche heute (Tag 3) mit Ausschachtungsarbeiten durch schweres Gerät fortgesetzt wurden. Die Kommunikation mit Barbarhouse ist leider frustran und die Mitarbeiter von Perle die Puglia verweisen nur auf diese Agentur. Insgesamt ist die Situation sehr unbefriedigend und wir erhalten keinerlei Kompensationsangebot. Das war das erste und letzte Mal, dass wir eine Immobilie über Perle di Puglia und Barbarhouse gebucht haben. Wir können nur Alle vor diesen Agenturen warnen!

ENGLISH VERSION

We have been spending our vacation in Villa Carlita (Carovigno) since July 14, 2024. When we arrived, we spoke to the Perle di Puglia employee about the construction site on the neighboring property to our right, whereupon she said that no noise was to be expected. On the first morning of our vacation (July 15th) we were woken up at 6 a.m. by two excavators who were busy doing outside work until the afternoon. When we asked the Barbarhouse agency whether they could provide us with another property, we were advised to go to the beach to avoid the noise. We pay 5,963 euros for the two weeks in Villa Carlita so that we can enjoy a quiet holiday in the seclusion of Puglia. If we had been informed about the construction site as required, we would have chosen a different property.

But that's not all: the beautiful Villa Carlita has suffered over the years, so that the interior is very worn out (mold on shower curtains and pictures, chipped paint on radiators, dirt in the toilets...). When we complained about the condition of the house and the negligent cleaning at the Barbarhouse agency and documented it with photos, there was no response. The equipment in the house is also kept very “cheap” (dishes, bowls, glasses). With a “Luxury Vila” (that’s the description on the homepage) and a weekly price of almost 3,000 euros, you can expect upscale furnishings.

Unfortunately, that's not the end yet. On the second day of our vacation, construction site No. 2 in the neighboring property on the left started with tree felling work, which continued today (day 3) with excavation work using heavy equipment. Unfortunately, communication with Barbarhouse is frustrating and the employees of Perle die Puglia only refer to this agency. Overall, the situation is very unsatisfactory and we are not receiving any compensation offer. This was the first and last time we booked a property through Perle di Puglia and Barbarhouse. We can only warn everyone about these agencies!

The booking and information-flow was easy, quick and coherent. Looking forward to our stay.

As a owner of a property, this is the worse agency we have worked with (extortionate percentage on the property renting for their « services » and prices for the cleaning, arrogant owners,inefficient marketing of the property with very poor results in terms of property occupancy)
