I think the total experience at PGC Creates Basketball and Life Leaders

I think the total experience at PGC camp has been fantastic. I have sent my middle school granddaughter to two camps and she has gotten tremendous amount from each one. They teach both basketball and life skills and I wish I had found it before I started sending her to select leagues. She learns more in a 5 day camp at PGC than a whole year of Select play.

The coaches are all great. They correct constructively but constantly encourage all the camp attendees. It really creates growth in the kids in many areas in just z week.

High Energy - Great Learnings

Taj and all the basket leaders came full of energy and kept that u for the entire camp. My child loved the camp and everything that they learned (entering grade 7 level). They came home every day wanting to talk about what they learned and show me on the driveway hoop.

Highly recommended

Our experience with the PGC Basketball Camp held at the University of Waterloo was excellent. The camp delivered on its promise of providing high-level instruction, emphasizing both skills and leadership development. The coaches were knowledgeable, energetic, and fully engaged with the players throughout the sessions-TAJ was amazing!

One highlight worth mentioning was the visit from the PGC President himself. His presence and interaction with both campers and parents showed a genuine commitment to the athletes and families who invested in this experience. It’s not often you see leadership make that kind of effort, and it reflected well on the organization’s values.

Overall, the camp was well-organized, focused, and provided a positive environment for growth on and off the court. I would definitely recommend PGC to any athlete serious about developing their game and leadership.

The camp was very challenging

The camp was very challenging for my daughter as far as mental physical aspects. They also encouraged accountability, respect, and having a positive attitude and it was the players responsibility to carry these aspects to their team. The director and coaches were as upbeat and positive as I have ever encountered. It fit into our model as parents with positive reinforcement for positive behavior and negative reinforcement for negative behavior.

PGC has changed my daughter's basketball perspective

PGC has changed my daughter's game perspective, now she is much more focused on attack and team work advantages. I highly recommend this experience for all parents interested in improving their children's performance in and out of the court, because the teachings received apply to all aspects of life.

This camp was a great investment

This camp was a great investment! I attended parent night and was so impressed at what I observed in the classroom and on the court. The motivation and curriculum were great! The energy and enthusiasm from players and coaches was beyond measure! Our son came back with more confidence about his abilities and the importance of leadership on and off the court! PGC is not only helping make great players but teaching important life skills! Thank you!

Best Bball camp in the world

This camp is very educational, and competitive, and helped me grow so many skills in less than a full week. This camp is so amazing! The directors all support you and clap for you no matter what mistake you make. Even as well as the athletes. Even on the first day, if you're feeling shy, or quiet, in the next few hours they make you feel so energetic, and energized. They have such a unique way of teaching that is not like anything else. They give the best level of teaching, and give you feedback on every mistake you make.

PGC Exceeded our expectations

We had an outstanding experience with the PGC Basketball summer camp. The program exceeded our expectations in every way — from the quality of instruction to the focus on leadership, mindset, and skill development. The coaches truly care about each player’s growth both on and off the court. We especially appreciated the structured, high-energy environment and the attention to detail in every session. Highly recommend for any player serious about improving their game and building confidence!

There were no adults present to have a…

There were no adults present to have a conversation with. In fact, my daughter walked off the campus with us without a single adult. We told a counselor he was leaving, but no one was available to speak with us or discuss the issues with us. We asked for the Camp Director, but that person was not available. It would also have been helpful to have the chaos on Day 1 put in context for parents and students during the parent orientation, which lasted 3 minutes. Again, the camp at Whittier might be good for students who are new to basketball, but definitely not for any player who has played before. If you are even a beginner AAU player consider if you want to waste three days and money waiting for things to get better on day 4!

Reply from PGC Basketball

Hi Devy,

Thanks for following up on your previous feedback. I'm sorry to hear there was not a staff member present to have a conversation with before you left. During gym and classroom sessions, all the staff and the Director are with the athletes and typically aren't available until a meal break.

Our parent meeting typically includes a breakdown of our teaching methodology and what to expect, including the opening day challenges, so I apologize that this seems to have been missed.

The vast majority of players who attend PGC overnight camps are serious varsity (or future varsity) and AAU players. Unfortunately, the Whittier camp your daughter attended had an unusually small number of female players, which was definitely less than ideal and likely the reason the level of play seemed lower than desired.

If you are interested and willing to have her give another PGC camp a try, I would be pleased to provide her with a full credit. You can email info@pgcbasketball.com and include a copy of this note.

Sincerely,

Mano Watsa, PGC President & Owner

Great investment…

PGC Playmaker College was an excellent experience for our daughter! The way this program modifies games with no-peek penalties, dribble limits, etc. really gets the athletes thinking about the game and greatly increases game IQ. This was hands-down the best “camp” investment we have ever made. Our daughter was challenged, encouraged, and energized and she cannot wait for her next PGC experience! Thank you so much for helping her grow in life skills and basketball!

My son learned not only basketball

My son learned not only basketball, but leadership and positive life skills. Busy camp.and really for motivated kids that like to hustle and improve. The skills he gained I got tonwitness a few days later at a high school tournament he played in. I'm not just saying this, he was a different player! The confidence level, the hustle, the intensity.
