Customer support is essentially non-existent. Questions are never answered. When the software fails, it is almost impossible to get a response within a reasonable time period. I have been a customer for several years but am leaving out of frustration with poor support.
Phase One is a terrible company to deal with and I am not saying it because they didn't offer the upgrade I was after. It's because of their atrocious customer service and their money-grabbing tactics.
They market themselves as Adobe Lightroom alternative and market about owning your copy of Capture One Pro instead of paying monthly subscription cost like Adobe for $9.99. I have owned my previous copy of Capture One for less than 6 months and they are offering the upgrade from a previous version for approx $310. For that price, I could have the Abobe subscription for 2 years or more.
Seriously, WTH Phase One.
I ditched Capture One Pro previously because of their atrocious & rude service and money-grabbing tactics and now the same again.
Why did I give them my money twice? Terrible.
Never again.
Capture One is the best photo development software available. I tried other products but no other has comparable local correction masks abilities.

Capture One is the best RAW editing software I ever had. And v12 is the best version of Capture One ever. Switching from Lightroom is a bit of a steep curve but once mastered C1 becomes a total delight to use.
