A former Berklee College of Music faculty with my master's from New England Conservatory and bachelor's from Berklee, I have offered thorough and well understood guitar instruction to beginners through advanced level for almost 40 years! My educational philosophy is simple: I wish to educate my students with rock-solid fundamentals through teaching them to learn how to read music, play tunes, develop excellent technique and enable them to learn and apply theory, ear training and composition. I teach my students in a methodical and practical manner, clearing up all their words and symbols and assist each of them in learning how to practice and grow as a musician and guitarist. As they progress over time, my students develop their own unique voice and abilities. Every student/individual is different but there are always basics to be learned and mastered and when these elements are in place in a student's understanding and practical application the results are magical! Everyone who comes to study with me has their own story and reason for playing. Ultimately it is my job to help them cultivate their creative abilities while having fun and enjoying themselves! I've been a professional performer and composer for over 43 years.
