The approach to scheduling is great albeit not without its drawbacks. A scheduled break in my classes for 2 weeks due to availability resulted in my status being changed to unofficial withdrawal. This was solved with a quick phone call. The only other gripe that I would have is the disbursements being for each class instead of one lump sum per "semester." Other than those two things everything is great!

The program I completed most recently is self-paced but very challenging. However, the flexibility it offers ensures that it is achievable by anyone. The support is there, with staff and mentors always checking in. Their website is easy to navigate and help is always nearby.

Survey Experience Response
As a leader and founder of two international nonprofit organizations and a practitioner-scholar, I have found the program at the University of Phoenix to be exceptionally relevant and impactful. What makes the University great is its deliberate integration of scholarly rigor with real-world application. The curriculum respects and builds upon professional experience while challenging leaders to think more critically, strategically, and ethically.
The faculty demonstrates a strong understanding of practitioner-based leadership, encouraging evidence-based decision-making, reflective practice, and applied research that directly informs organizational strategy and transformation. This approach has strengthened my ability to lead complex, cross-cultural organizations while grounding my work in theory, data, and systems thinking.
The University’s flexible, well-structured learning model enables senior leaders to engage deeply without compromising professional or community responsibilities. Overall, the University of Phoenix excels at developing scholar-practitioners equipped to translate research into meaningful organizational and societal impact.

University of Phoenix is slowly transforming me into a professional businesswoman. When I started in February 2025 I could barely download a file but here I am with 30 credits toward my Associate Degree. They personalized my course to meet my needs and their online platform is the greatest. One class every 5 weeks.

I need to formally express that I am extremely dissatisfied with being repeatedly assigned to the same Instructor/Chair in my doctoral seminar courses, as this has directly hindered my academic progress. Despite multiple attempts to communicate through email, direct messaging, and phone calls, the instructor’s responses are consistently delayed—often arriving so late that I cannot complete revisions or gain the clarity needed to meet assignment expectations. This lack of timely engagement has created avoidable setbacks and has left me without the support required to successfully navigate doctoral‑level coursework. I am committed to meeting program standards, but I cannot do so without responsive and reliable faculty guidance. I am requesting immediate intervention to ensure I am paired with an instructor who provides timely communication and adequate academic support.

While I love the format of classes being 6 weeks, I have a struggle in classes where it takes nearly 2-3 weeks waiting for a grade. Typically, this would not be a concern, but all of the assignments are built around a Week 2 assignment and not receiving the grade until week 4, that affects everything in between like discussions and the week 3 assignment. If teachers are going to use this format, then the initial assignment has to be graded quickly.

The Capstone program is not well supported. I have emailed my Field Placement Coordinator requesting help getting an agreement between the college and the organization which needed to be completed before the site supervisor form was signed.
She has been unwilling to help and directs me to have the site supervisor form signed (which I explained is not possible without her help getting an agreement between the two organizations).
This is frustrating and is making me think I will have to report this to my company's tuition assistance, UOP is a new MPH program they are funding and I think this is not sustainable based on my experience. I am not sure this will be resolved without changing colleges.
After I asked for help and received nothing, she sent me an email saying because I didn't resolve this on my own, by a date that she did not share with me, I would have to push out my graduation date. She has still not offered assistance and continues to direct me to have a form signed, which I have notified her multiple times - cannot be signed until there is a contract with the college.

Dropped me from my classes without notice in an attempt to get me to pay out of pocket instead of using the available financial aid. Run...do not recommend

Masters degree. Public Administration. Finally finished it during Covid but had started it years earlier. I love Dr. Sperling's story the guy who founded it. I loved graduation. I found the learning teams and essays and writing super stressful but I'm so glad it's over
