The photo was unacceptable to the US passport service. I tried calling Photo.gov but nobody was picking up the phone. I needed help immediately so had to go with a different service. They responded much latter. But it was too late. I've already told them I need my money refunded , but they are using delay tactics. Their service didn't even know that glasses are not acceptable in the photo for the passport , but approved it anyway. Till today , they have not refunded the fee for which I will have to place a formal complaint and dispute now. When you are providing a service , you need to know the rules for passport photos. You also need to have support available because your constituents time is valuable. They obviously don't recognize this.

Not for passport photos
All the AI generated images were unacceptable to the UK Passport service.
System was simple to use and probably perfect for a good image to accompany a CV or similar, just not for key documentation.

Deceptive, Lies, Uncooperative, and Does Not Work - Stay Away!
Tried to get them to do their Ai enhancement for a Chinese visa application that is done online to submit a photo. They supposedly guarantee the service, and when it does not work to upload on the consulate website, they blame me and my picture when they "accepted" the picture I submitted and did their Ai conversions that were supposed to work. Nope...it would not work and they are giving me the runaround on a refund, and cancellation of a subscription I never wanted. They hide the pay button as to a straight-forward payment without any add-ons like "LINK" service or Subscription. It is just not there. The emails are misleading and blaming me for the issue and they are uncooperative in getting resolution or refund, and won't acknowledge that I canceled the subscription by request by email and deleting my account. Instead they suggest I use the printed picture option and go to a consulate when 99% of them are done via the web portal only and consulates are difficult to get to and expensive when you aren't close. I asked for a refund, and am waiting on it along with confirmation of being canceled, but so far it's just the runaround. STAY AWAY! This is an overseas company and are geared to keep what you paid.
Update per response. What a load. They bury the place to do a straight forward purchase intentionally. I have decades of photo experience but they claim I have a bad photo? They “accepted” it which then gotta processed into an unusable product, then say why don’t I print one to take to use…which isn’t even close to the same. Later thy say I ordered a passport photo when it was a visa photo. Sorry, I know a scam from overseas companies when they dodge and distract from the issue that they had a guarantee it would work, and it didn’t. Stop the lies.

Waste of time
Waste of time. All the feel of a scam. Was told "too many photos being processed, wait for 3.5 minutes. Egg-timer spins for 3.5 mins and when timer reached 00:00:00 carries on spinning for ages. No photo delivered, and all the time an "offer" to get quicker by paying some ridiculous fee. A con and a waste of time!

Photos that look nothing like me
The photos they've sent me don't look anything like me! They also charge for the service despite saying it was free.
PhotoGov AI images
I submitted my photo to PhotoGov for online passport renewal and paid an additional fee for human verification. A day later, I was asked to resubmit my photo, which I did promptly. Despite this, I had to follow up several times, and they sent me an AI-generated image where my facial moles were misplaced. After four days of repeated follow-ups, my actual photo was finally processed. While AI-generated images are free, paying extra for human verification isn’t worth it — the poor customer service and delays make the experience frustrating. I do not recommend this website.
The service is not free
The service is not free. I searched for "china visa photo online free".
Misleading information as free service
Misleading information, advertising that it is free service but they forcefully collect charges after collecting your photos. This is not ethical behavior and urges the site to refrain from such fake advertising.
Do not recommend
Uploaded a photo, they scanned and confirmed it met all requirements, and removed the background. Submitted with my passport and the photo was declined for not meeting the requirements. Went back to PhotoGov.net to get reimbursed and they shrugged it off. Do not recommend.

I asked Photogov.net to edit a digital photo for the requirement of the HK gov. online passport application. After I feedback to them that the edited photo was not good enough to pass the gov website verification, they responded promptly, provided professional recommendations, and focused on the root cause of the failures. They were willing to edit other photos once they found the original photo couldn’t be proceeded and committed to the last moment as far as they could. I’m no hesitation to recommend their FIVE STARS services to anyone. Their patience, kindness and helpfulness are the most appreciated.

Didn’t work, didn’t refund. Never again
First of all, the photo I paid photogov.com to make for me was not accepted by the government in question. Secondly the government in question has a free tool on its visa website that did make a useable picture so I had no need for it. Lastly photo gov.com declined to refund me. Garbage company
