The videos have been really helpful. Also the explanation of the technical aspects. I've been playing the sport for a few years now but this has been my best experience in pickleball.

This course is very fun and informative. It can be done at the individual’s own pace and in one’s desired location. The videos are clear and interesting. The tools are easy to use and the evaluation criteria are stated, documented and repeated for student understanding. I am looking forward to uploading my videos and receiving my level one coaching certification.

I’ve been coaching in some kind of professional setting for more than three decades. I’ve learned how to be a very effective coach over that period of time. So taking this CPI course was very helpful in not that it gave me more knowledge than I already had but instead confirmed what I was currently doing. I wish I would have taken this course 30 years ago it would have helped me be a more knowledgeable and highly effective coach much sooner without as many trials and errors to learn from. This is great program for new or old coaches. A few of the key ingredients are the “why” approach. Making sure we as coaches explain why it’s important to do something a certain way. Also the situational awareness was well established in the course. Which focus on doing something in the proper or real time context. Overall a great course which is really good, organized well and well laid out especially for new coaches.

I am truly impressed with the meticulous attention to detail throughout the course delivery, which made the learning process both enriching and seamless. The requirements are well-balanced, striking a fair chord for learners of varying expertise. The courses themselves are exceptional, blending engaging content with practical insights that inspire growth.

Lastly, I’d love to see the Level 2 Certificate program expand its reach with more course offerings in Asian countries like Malaysia and Vietnam, fostering greater accessibility for passionate learners in the region.

Mark and his team have a terrific set of videos with super-clear explanations in for your Level-1 Coaching Certification. The website is easy to navigate with a wealth of information. I highly recommend it!

We were advised to do the PCI coaching course by a senior Pickleball official who had completed several coaching courses and believed it was one of the most thorough and well resourced. I'm glad we did. It took longer than many of the four hour cert 1 courses offered, actually a couple of weeks for us, but it was self paced and unlike other coaching courses out there, it evaluated not only your own performance but how you instructed others in the skills necessary to play and improve in Pickleball. You had to upload video evidence of your skills and teaching practice. I believe we actually learnt a lot about how to coach, and why a particular skill was important to master so as to improve game play. Resources are good and the newsletter keeps us in touch with latest information. For Australians it is a bit pricey, given the exchange rate, but overall it is worth it.

If you want a serious and knowledgeable Pickleball coaching experience then the coaching certification through PCI is for you!
Don’t waste your money or time with any other Pickleball coaching certification institute out there, and this is from my first hand experience! They are only out for your money, and their educational videos are outdated, unprofessional, and very hard to hear with the reverberation of the coach/instructor in a hotel conference room setting! They bait you into their certification program and then switch the terms on you without notification. Then when you try to call them to question what they did, they ignore you and never return your calls or emails!
So I highly recommend the professionalism and Pickleball knowledge that PCI offers as number one in the industry! Way to go Coach Mark!

We are so lucky to have found this course just before our next session of teaching pickleball. We have done this without training for a couple years, and people keep wanting to learn, and now we are truly seeking better ways to teach. Thank you PCI and Mark for this awesome course for teaching people at all different levels!

Pickleball Coaching International is the coaching and cert program I've been looking for. I am a retired geek with extensive training in adult learning and the philosophy of introduction and teaching is more in line with my own style. Generally very happy with the site and my membership. Honest feedback though has to include a few annoying items. Most noticeable is the inconsistent volume with some videos. Production values are not crazy high, but in a way that makes the site more like a place for regular people to use. Also the website is a bit non intuitive at first but becomes clearer after some use. Overall the material offered is really good with lots of short easy to follow videos. In addition to plenty of useful tips on introducing the game to beginners and setting up drills, the instructions for submitting an online application for certification is most welcome. I'm very glad I found the organization and am happy to be a member.

UPDATE It's been two months now since I become a member, and now is a good time to update my review. While I stand by my prior comments on a couple of (very) minor website annoyances, I wanted to update my experience with the content. The more I dig into the material, the more useful I find it. For me, this a really great program and I really could not be happier. I added the fifth star to the review as I think it deserves it. I'm so happy with this membership I also joined Pickleball Labs. I expect it will be just as good. Great program for getting started with a certified coaching program. Many thanks!!!

Mark is very professional and extremely responsive to ensure the highest success for his clients preparing to become professional coaches. I appreciate the material and design to allow us to excel on and off the court as pickleball professionals.

I dig the set up of this coaching platform. There are great resources that you can utilize as an instructor right away. There are videos of drills that you can use in your instruction to make lessons fun and competitive. It is always a good thing to mix up what you do. My favorite thing is the play-practice-play format. As I have used this, the student becomes more involved in their learning. They can see what they really need to improve, then you can drill what you want to improve, and then at the end, you can play again to check for understanding and improvement from the lesson. It has been a great tool for me and something I utilize much more often now.

I am in Mark Renneson coaching training right now and it couldn’t be better!! The course is thoughtful and makes you look at training more strategically ... instead of showing a variety of shots you are learning why and when to make those shots!!

This certification program is both informative and convenient. Mark is very attentive and always there for a question or customer support. I highly recommend this program for new or experienced coaches looking to get certified.
