In the past few years I have used piktochart for multiple school assignments. I would advice people to use this website, also because the support team is a very good help and they are very kind. If you have a question you get a fast reply, which is nice.

My free trial had ended, and I lost access to an important project I had worked. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to download it.
I contacted Piktochart support and was pleasantly surprised by their IMMEDIATE response and helpful attitude. They kindly assisted me, and I was able to successfully download my project.

I want to express my sincere gratitude for the manager who offered a full refund on our annual Piktochart subscription. An important reminder had inadvertently landed in my junk mail via Outlook, even though the initial purchase arrived in my inbox. I was navigating a very difficult personal period—from June to November 2025—as I managed a family health crisis that ultimately required my mutual resignation from my roles as a PYP Homeroom teacher and Grade Level Leader at our bi-lingual IB and WAS accredited school.
During this challenging time, the manager’s understanding and willingness to process a full refund were deeply meaningful. Their compassionate approach demonstrated a strong sense of corporate social responsibility, something I greatly admire, especially in the Christmas season when many face additional hardships. The refund not only provided financial relief but also reaffirmed our trust in Piktochart’s values.
The product itself proved to be highly effective and valuable. We used Piktochart to support a very successful PYP Exhibition event and to develop comprehensive curriculum map tools for our marketing brochure. The Free Service is Terrible
The problem is that the free service includes basically nothing useful. I signed up to do a project, and was told to use this program. When using it, a lot of the features like lots of beneficial icons were locked behind the paywall, but that is fine. The first strike against the service is how I am only allowed two free downloads, which I think is unreasonably strict. The second and even bigger problem was that your projects are deleted after a week, with the website saying pay up. When I made my account, I was not told I was effectively signing up for a free trial.
I now genuinely hate Piktochart and would never use it again. Consider what you get, it's expensive for no good reason, and the free service is barely usable. I am upset that I have lost my project and I refuse to pay the ransom to get it back (assuming it wasn't deleted forever). There are far better tools for making infographics, including Google Slides and paint.net.
My recommendation is to actually make the free service usable. I understand locking some things behind a pay wall like better icons, but limiting downloads to two and only allowing me to make posters for 7 days is UNACCEPTABLE!

Issue still not resolved--all documents deleted??
Update in reply to their reply: this is false. They provided One extension during which time I asked for two downloads and while I waited for a response the extension was over. I asked for another one so that I could copy and paste my work rather than paying a huge fee to become a member just to download my documents and leave--and they refused. So this reply below is false. I wish it were true!
Update #2: I gave in and upgraded--only to find that after all this useless back-and-forth and waiting for resolution, my visuals seem to have been deleted. Even days ago they were saying I needed to upgrade to access them; convenient that they didn't mention they had deleted them until after I had paid for a year's membership! This is horrifying as it was years of work, deleted, after hours and hours of wasted time with their customer service.

Still haven't had my issue resolved. The company has very few accessibility features, e.g. no alt-text, poor compatibility with screen-readers, which makes them not compliant with new department of justice requirements for education resources (I can no longer use them for syllabi).
They also removed their free version and thus locked me and my students out of all the documents I've ever created, and will not allow an exception to the no-download rule so that I can leave this program and start over, even though it is already costing me massive amounts of wasted time and stress.

The structure of the basic/automated communications of Piktochart before their intervention should be improved though.
