WHAT A JOKE!
They said they accepted my insurance. I then got sticker shock when they tried charging me over $1,000 for prescriptions I normally pay a total of $10 per month with my insurance through Walgreens. Of course I was not informed of this until AFTER they transferred my prescriptions. Now they have completely screwed up my necessary meds with my insurance company that I need to survive. WHAT A JOKE!

For Medicare Part D prescription users
For Medicare Part D prescription users, DO NOT SWITCH to PillPack. Walgreens, Walmart, Express Scripts, Silver Scripts, CVS and AARP United plan subscribers, Amazon Pillpack is OUT OF PREFERRED network for all of them and you WILL BE charged much high copays to punish you for going out of your own network. Pillpack will NOT tell you this over the phone. BEFORE I paid $23 for 90 day supplies on 8 prescriptions. After switching to Pillpack for for just ONE 30 DAY month, I was charged $129! Pill pack does NOT do cost saving 90 day supplies ONLY 30 Days refills. And since "PillPack is out of preferred network" for all Medicare Part D plans, you WILL PAY MORE! BEWARE! Pillpack will NOT tell you this!
Lost Rx and delayed delivery
PillPack may be a new company, so I am guessing they are still working out the "bugs." However, I finally had to move on. I gave PillPack six months, but every Rx order had problems. All my orders were delayed in delivery. One order would have taken over 30 DAYS to receive had I not called and complained. One of my Rx prescriptions was lost. On every order, I had to take time to contact Customer Support, so aggravation and lost time. Too much stress for me :-(
I am now trying NowRX... too early to evaluate, but I remain hopeful.
Terrible scam
Terrible scam! Don't join! Warning!
They only fill 30 day supplies. They say they do but don't say you will only get bottles instead being included in the pack. So you end up paying copays every month!
They also don't synch your meds which destroys the whole reason to use this service.
After using CVS pill pack program for…
After using CVS pill pack program for several months, I suggest dealing with another pill pack provider. I haven't had a single month where all of my prescriptions were in my pill packs. There was always 1 or 2 drugs that didn't make it and had to be stored and taken separately. CVS is raising my blood pressure instead of lowering it. Run away from this incompetence!
BEWARE
BEWARE: I started to sign up and then got the cost of my prescription. Their cost is 300% higher than what I am charged at the local drug store. They are ripping off insurance companies.
Terrible service. Stay away
Stay away. I started the service ~5 months ago. I wasn’t able to login at ALL after signing up. Tried to reset my password in multiple occasion, the email never came. Then my doctor prescribed me something and I couldn’t get that added because i couldnt login to get any of the info i needed. Tried to change password again with no luck.
Then I needed to pause the service for a month (had too many pills) but again no luck. So I finally had enough and called customer service. She then sent ANOTHER email for password reset while we were on the phone. We waited 10 mins and the email still didnt come, and her response was “oh thats weird”. So I finally asked them to cancel my account. Now I am hoping that cancellation email comes.what a ridiculous company. You need to get password reset right. That’s just basic!
Excellent and convenient
I started using PillPack because I moved to a different state from a major city to a very small town that didn't have any major pharmacy chains. I have so far had an incredible experience. I was struggling to get my insurance input online when signing up, and one quick, easy, and pleasant call fixed my issue. I had to request medications early and I received them the next day, UPS. I have had nothing but great experiences with customer service. I love the ease and convenience of a mail in service and so far they are much more reliable than any other prescription mailing service I used in the past.
I also love that you can add over the counter vitamins and supplements as well.
I highly recommend
Edit update: I have been using this service for 4 months and I have still had a fantastic experience. I actually just switched insurance and was prepared to call them to update it, and it was already done! I had to take zero action. I also had a situation where one of my medications was coming in the "morning" pack and I needed it in the "evening" pack, and they changed it no problem. I am still loving this service.
the customer service is awful and if…
the customer service is awful and if you need anything like a new med sooner than the 30 day delivery you must call them or they just put it on the back burner they do not take your health seriously so if its important
DON'T USE PILLPACK
Terrible terrible service
Terrible terrible service. Have used the service for 3 months and every month I have to call them and ask them to send the medication. My medication lasts 23 days. Last month they decided they were going to send it after 30 days..had to call and have it sent sooner and have them fix the time duration. This month the estimated arrival is after 45 days!!!! Seriously!!! Had to call again and go over the same things. The reason I chose PillPack was so that this was one thing less to worry about..apparently it isn’t so.
Downhill Slide
At first, Pillpack was incredible - on-time delivery, all meds delivered - loved the service. However, they quite shipping UPS and went the Postal Service, just as the Postal Service started cutting expenses, overtime and delaying deliveries. Medication was days late, 2 months in a row. Why an Amazon company switched from UPS is beyond me. They offered me the post office phone number to find out where my delivery was at. I'm not doing their job for them and I told them that. Next, one shipment didn't have one of the meds included because it was on 'backorder.' I asked how a pharmacy could run out of a pretty common medication. They don't seem to like it when customers call them out on bad service. How this company is affiliated with Amazon is beyond me. Customer service has nose-dived and I cannot say for sure that I will remain a customer. Mistakes with prescriptions are a big deal with me.
I switched to Pillpack because I thought it would help I don’t think I’m staying
I switched to Pillpack because I keep switching up my meds. I am pretty sure I made a big mistake! First month and I’m being charged for meds my other pharmacy covers. The unexpected draw in my bank from account made a bunch of my bills bounce so now I am paying fees and fines ! I have never bounced a check in my life. I m 55 years old. So now I’m living on an income that is below poverty level and trying to keep the lights on! Besides pay all the people I know
First, make sure they're in-network! Then, ...
I subscribed to Pillpack briefly. I take several different medications, so despite 90-day prescriptions, I still frequented the local pharmacy on a monthly basis. Pillpack seemed like a good idea. However, after receiving the first batch of medications, they began billing my credit card over and over again. Pillpack is apparently not an in-network pharmacy for my Aetna PPO plan - and I found that out rapidly. As soon as charge #3 showed up on the credit card statement, I cancelled. I'd been paying less than $10 every 90 days at the local in-network pharmacy. I've no idea how many times Pillpack would've hit me for more money as I had yet to get a refill of all medications. Seemed like a good idea, but I'm more than happy to sort my own meds rather than pay someone handsomely to do so!
Words of advice! Once you have everything taken care of, ask Pillpack the COST of your prescriptions and avoid nasty surprises! Once one has submitted a credit or debit card, it can't be removed unless it's replaced by another card either online or via customer service! This scares me to death as major reason I quit was due to their practice of billing my credit care over and over again without explanation!

I’ve used PillPack for nearly two years and they are excellent. Customer service is always easy to contact, prescriptions always on time and no extra or hidden charges. I noticed bad reviews about prescriptions getting messed up, but isn’t that the case with any pharmacy you go to? And from my experience the doctors office is who doesn’t get things right most the time. I would recommend Pillpack to anyone. They have made my life easier and I’m greatly appreciated.
Pillpack screwed up my seizure medication…
Pillpack screwed up my seizure medication. Part of it is that previously it was filled 3 months at a time, they by default do one month at a time. So now that it is August and my next neurologist appointment is a little later in the month than last year, the prescription runs out before I see the neurologist. So they were sending messages that my prescription runs out, despite having 3 refills. I called Pillpack in late July, the person I spoke to looked it up and verified that he could fill it in August before the expiration date of 8/13/2020. So I said do that, as I see my neurologist this month and things will be fine once the new prescription is put in. I took things at face value, that the plan to refill my medication was going to happen. Today when I went to fill my weekly medication dispenser I saw that I only have three days worth of medication left, and realized that Pillpack did not follow up with what they said they would by refilling the prescription. So now I have no active prescription and my medication is about to run out. I called Pillpack, they have no record of the details chat, just that it occurred but not all what was discussed. And all they can say is to contact my neurologist for an emergency refill. Now I have to go through the hassle of reaching out to my neurologist office to get a refill, and hope that can be done promptly. Not sure whether to contact the on call physician and say it is a medical emergency, or take my chance on Monday when I may not be able to reach them given how busy my work days are. Thanks pillpack, this is a stress I really needed. I have never had this sort of issue with another pharmacy. Also, previously I did not receive a prescription that was sent out. Thankfully they were good about having it overnighted. But with all of that, not sure that I can keep using this service, the convenience of getting the meds in the mail appears to be outweighed by the logistical headaches of dealing with them.
Website doesn't work - not getting started
I've read several of these reviews. I have to say I wanted to use PillPack to cut back on my plastics usage and for the convenience. I started the signup process and even the website is atrocious. I am a more than competent user of computers and it was difficult for me to get my information entered. The form auto-populated my email address and phone number in the areas for my birth date and 4 digit SSN. I tried to delete them and nothing worked. I had to tab to a couple of other places on the form then back tap to finally get the form to allow me to enter my information. I then went as far as entering my allergies and medical health. The medical health did not have my full diagnosis and does not allow for you to add or make your own. Went on without a couple of my health concerns. I then had half a pop up window show up where I was supposed to enter my Dr.'s name to search. At this point I was done. When I struggle to enter even basic information in a form on a website that tells me all I need to know about how the rest of my experience will go. It shouldn't be a struggle to sign up. I don't even want to know how customer service is after you get started. Amazon do better!
AWFUL Customer Care !!!!!
My Pill pack was lost in the mail. I made multiple calls to their customer care team (now that is a joke) they could care less. Most of them just do not seem to listen to the customer and it seems the response is being read from a script.. Got to the point I had them transfer my prescription to a local pharmacy which also took several calls. Then I had to get them to cancel the order that was suppose to arrive in order for my insurance to cover the cost. I had 1 day of medication left and talked to a supervisor who told me a form had to be filled out and it could take 10-14 days for the charge reversal. She did not care I only had 1 day of medication left or that it would cost me a fortune if I had to pay our of pocket (one medication is over a $1000.00. Finally I spoke with one supervisor and he was the only one willing to pick up a phone and talk to other department to get the reversal processed. It was done the next day.
I them submitted a grievance to my insurance and they were told in the first response that pill pack was not aware I was almost out of medication and on the second response they were told that pill pack had no record of any calls with me. I then initiated a chat with pill pack and was told they had at least 3 records of call during this time frame. Needless to say I no longer use them and advise others to do the same.
completely disorganized
completely disorganized. poor follow-up. bad computer systems that make you repeat things over and over. a few good people there but they don't make up for the other systemic chaos. spent about five hours on the phone with them and eventually had to switch back to CVS
A lack of reliability
A lack of communication, lack of reliability. Doctor ordered a 'schedule 2" script as he normally would to pill pack. Fax went out, I even requested a copy and have it. Pill Pack says they never got it. Then they change their messaging and say its a schedule 2 and that they don't fill that. Seemed strange and with a copy of the script in hand, I can say that pill pack is not a company that can reliably receive a fax, which is still the standard process to fill drug prescriptions. How do they stay in business?!
