While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

To protect platform integrity, every review on our platform—verified or not—is screened by our 24/7 automated software. 1. Web Hosting Company

Written by the company

Pixly (pixly.gg) is pay-as-you-play Minecraft server hosting built for friend groups. Instead of a monthly subscription, you top up a small wallet balance and are billed by the minute — only while someone is actually playing. When everyone logs off, the server goes to sleep and the meter stops: an empty world costs $0. When a friend hits "join," it wakes in about 30 seconds. Pixly is built and run by its founder. Every support message — in Discord or by email — is read and answered by a real person, not a ticket queue. If something isn't working for you, please reach out first: most problems are fixed the same day. Creating a server takes about 30 seconds: sign in with Google, name your world, share the address. Nothing to install, no port forwarding, no router settings — which suits parents setting up a private world for kids as well as any group of friends who don't want the technical headache. New accounts start with $1 of free credit, and no credit card is required to try it. Every server includes the full feature set: daily automatic backups with a 7-day history, a friends-only whitelist on by default, a live console, version switching, and your own custom address (yourworld.pixly.gg). Run Vanilla, Paper, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, or Quilt, and install any of 120,000+ mods and modpacks from Modrinth in one click. Built-in Java + Bedrock crossplay (Geyser + Floodgate) lets friends on console, phone, or tablet join the same address as PC players. Servers run on AWS infrastructure with dedicated resources per plan. Plans scale by group size, from small private worlds to communities of 100+. For casual evening-and-weekend play, hosting typically works out to a couple of dollars a month. Pixly is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang AB or Microsoft. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.
