We had such a great time touring Napa Valley with Platypus Tours! Allison was wonderful to work with and made coordinating everything so easy. Juan was a fantastic guide and made the day really enjoyable. We loved the wineries they chose for us, each one was excellent. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish and would absolutely tour with them again!

Platypus always does an awesome job of suggesting locations we've not been to, provides great drivers with excellent knowledge, and comes through with the good food. We've been back again & will continue to book only with them.

Our group has used Platypus on 4 previous occasions, but this past trip, we took advantage of their booking service, and it was a total game changer! Jen made our experience so much easier, and even more memorable! And our driver, Army, was awesome too! Definitely made this visit to Napa the best yet!

We had a great experience! Evonne went above and beyond what we expected. Not only did she arrive early, she was such a pleasant person to chat with on our drive. At our first destination, we arrived a little early due to a change I made, and she worked with the staff onsite to get us accommodated. She then got us to our next two destinations with ease and patience as we enjoyed all the tastings. She got us back to our hotel on schedule and again, was very pleasant to chat with.

In addition to the actual day-of experience, Platypus was very easy to work with. I appreciate how easy it was to book and get our details sorted (even with the changes I submitted at the last minute). I would highly recommend your company, including Evonne specifically, and will certainly use your services the next time I visit.

My wife and I booked a private wine charter with Platypus Tours to celebrate our wedding, and it was an absolutely memorable day. Our tour guide Juan was excellent: professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the experience special. The itinerary was thoughtfully put together, taking us to three beautiful wineries with a food and wine pairing for lunch, capped off with a stop at Russian River Brewery. Everything ran smoothly and we felt very well taken care of throughout the day. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a well-organized, personalized wine tour experience in the area.

Jen was incredibly helpful and gracious in arranging both the wine tour ( Domaine Carneros ; Artesa Winery ) and transportation. My guests and I truly enjoyed the entire experience.

As for our tour guide, Stephen Johnson — absolutely top-notch.

He arrived ahead of schedule, which was a huge plus for me, and was informative, professional, and attentive throughout the drive to the wineries.

His knowledge of the Napa area, along with the history of the wineries we selected, added so much to the experience.

Platypus is an excellent company to book a private wine tour in Napa. Creating your own tour or letting them create for you, they communicate the itinerary very well through email, phone and text so that nothing is missed. The driver we had on our tour helped make the day fun and enjoyable due to her knowledge and effervescent personality.

During a recent wine tour of Sonoma, our driver Jared, made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time! He helped with pictures, and gave us space as we talked like we hadn't seen each other in 40 years (because we hadn't!!).

Platypus team was fantastic. Prompt, knowledgeable and helpful. They reviewed the draft itinerary I put together and gave helpful comments. Mike our driver was very knowledgeable and provided many additiinal options for us as we were out touring, and we took him up on several. Overall a great experience. Would use Platypus again without question.

Every facet of our experience with Platypus was top notch white glove service. From our initial online inquiry, they provided very quick, clear and detailed responses to our needs and questions. Our curator, Dustin provided the perfect private two-day winery tour that far exceeded our expectations. Our driver, Val was an extremely professional and knowledgeable guide on our journey through the Napa Valley. The result was an unforgettable 15th anniversary trip for my wife and I. This was our 11th year visiting Napa, and once again we booked with Platypus Tours, they are simply the best! Every year we look forward to this trip, and the experience never disappoints.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Tina for the past few years, and she is absolutely fabulous. She always tailors tastings perfectly to our wine preferences and makes sure every stop feels special. Her detailed communication and cost breakdowns are so helpful, especially since we often travel with friends.

We’ve also toured with Gary several times, and he’s fantastic as well, he’s patient, fun, and always ready to roll with our group’s shenanigans. Both Tina and Gary make the day feel effortless and memorable.

We’re incredibly appreciative of the Platypus team and the care they put into making each tour exceptional. Can’t wait to be back again next year ! Cheers to another round of unforgettable Napa adventures! 🍷

We started at Gandona Winery, which was hands down my favorite. The lake views, the stunning tasting room, and Amy’s hospitality were exceptional. My friends were absolutely blown away by the scenery.
Next was Merryvale Vineyards, where we enjoyed a brief tour of the wine room followed by a lovely outdoor lunch. The weather was perfect, and it made the experience even more special.
Now, let me rave about Sam—our driver and unofficial tour guide! He was an absolute blast: funny, engaging, and a total jokester. He truly elevated the entire day. Next time I book (and there will be a next time), I’m requesting Sam. He made everything better.

Our 2 days in Napa Valley on August 10th and 11th, 2025 were absolutely amazing! Our host, and driver Peter, made the experience unforgettable. He was punctual, professional, and so entertaining, sharing countless fascinating facts about Napa that truly brought the region to life. It was also so thoughtful of him to offer to take pictures of us along the way — those moments he captured are priceless.
The only thing I would have adjusted was starting the second day a little later, but that was my own itinerary choice.
Overall, the entire experience was seamless and so well done. Peter went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time, and we can’t thank him and Platypus Tours enough for the memories we’ll always cherish!

We have used Platypus Tours on multiple trips to Napa/Sonoma. We were driven in a van with another couple and this year in a luxury Lexus SUV for just my wife and I. Great drivers filled with local knowledge and great suggestions. HIGHLY recommend Platypus Tours!

From the very beginning, Courtney was so friendly and fun—her energy made the entire day even more enjoyable. I can’t say enough about how wonderful Tina was as our curator! From the very start, she was such a huge help—patient, understanding, and incredibly knowledgeable as we tried to decide on where we wanted to go. She made the entire planning process stress-free, even on the day I was traveling. Tina took care of everything so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. We had the most amazing experience with Platypus, from the first phone call to inquire about a tour to planning the private tour with Dustin and experiencing the amazing beauty, culture, and kind people that made our day so special, including our fabulous guide, Evonne. Debated between a group and private tour but private was what we decided and it allowed us a much more individualized and unique experience. Absolutely CANNOT say enough about the day and the fabulous team. We can't wait for our next trip!
