Parking fine at the Plough

The food was nice but a bit expensive. The main complaint is the parking; when we parked we were the only car in the car park. we unfortunately entered a digit wrong on the parking console in the pub. We subsequently got a parking fine for £100. we complained to the Plough, shrugged their shoulders and told us we had to take it up with the parking company. We appealed, gave the evidence of our food bill, times etc. The parking company reduced the bill to £20, but did not dismiss it all together. Yes it was our fault, but the evidence we submitted was clear.

A Wholly Inequitable Experience

I have been attending the Plough's monthly pub quizzes for the last year. Following my most recent visit I received a £100 parking fine in the post - for parking in their customers' car park!
It turns out they have a brand new requirement for customers to register their car number plate at the bar, or else face a fine. No announcement was made of this new requirement during the quiz, when it could so easily have been. I called the pub about this and they were not in the slightest bit interested sorting out this unfair fine. Needless to say, our pub quiz team will not be visiting the Plough again.
