Lot's of totally ridiculous hidden costs. Technically and legally ok , but totally untransparant. Think 2-4-100 times before using their card. Short : legal thieves !

I bought a fob specially for a long vacation in Scandinavia
Paid 9,95 Euro for the card/fob
But in four weeks of travel through Scandinavia I have not been able to find one single charging station where I could use the fob
Plugsurfing deny me a refund
So TOTALLY USELESS
Plugsurfing charging incorrect VAT rate in Ireland
Plugsurfing have been charging the incorrect VAT rate in Ireland for almost a year now. The correct VAT rate is 9%. This rate was reduced from 13.5% on the 1st May 2022 by government due to the energy crisis. When contacted about this they initially told me I was incorrect. When I sent them further evidence of the rate reduction they acknowledged the error and then stopped responding to me emails. I have been emailing them since December 2022, looking for the rate to be changed and money refunded to my account, to no response and they are still charging the incorrect VAT rate of 13.5%.
Sorry I am not allowed to give a zero…
Sorry I am not allowed to give a zero mark !
Arrived at national motor museum happy that they had provided charger in the car park.
However my joy was short lived as about 2 hrs after I Arrived (half my stay time), I still couldn't get the support to actually allow me to create an account and login to start the actual charge.
Support was useless. Why can't everyone just take a leaf out of Instsvolt's book and allow contactless payment.
EV charging will never take off while there are numpty companies like plugshare around who make it so bloody difficult to just pay for the charge you want.
Totally and utterly useless and yes the app is going straight in my bin....
Shut it down
Plugsurfings support is a joke. Not possible to get any help if a charging station is not working and after 21 emails with the support team and 4 different people to connect my plugsurfing card to my Volvo app, they ask my for the registration certificate, i ask if they meant the registration number (licens plate) and they said no they needed the registration certificate??? wt*.
I think this company is run by kids
I guess they cannot spell “customer…
I guess they cannot spell “customer service”. Worst company ever. Do they exist? Empty and hollow answers bud chat bots and employees that can only tell that the look into your matter. Long response time…and mails with replies that just require more information. No solution seeking or responsible employees with autorisation/skills to help.
Can't download the app, 2 months in, don't have my refund.
I signed in to Plugsurfing EV charging, ordered two Key fobs and paid 19.90 Euros. I have brought my phone from USA, but have a France Service, nonetheless could not download the app, since the phone is from US. Chatted with Plugsurfing, they confirmed that the app will not download to a US based phone. Requested a refund within an hour of the payment, and 2 months later, I still don't have my refund. Now I can't even chat with them via a computer.
Beware of excessive charges
Beware of excessive charges. I have the Plugsurfing app and charge card because I thought it would be useful. However the first use was in Spain and they charged more than three times the rate I would have paid direct to the supplier using their app (1.33 euros v .40). This is a ridiculous markup and I contacted Plugsurfing customer service who just said that was the charge. I will not be using again.
App has country limitations, no charge sessions in online account
The Android app has country limitations so as a tourist coming from the UAE I could not install it.
We have charged 3 or 4 times but the sessions never appeared in our online account and we already returned the rental car. I'm concerned that these bills will go to a next user.
No responce
Ordered a charging key a month ago. They immediately charged my credit card. Have not yet received the key. No reply to support request by email.
I accidentally paid an invioce which…
I accidentally paid an invioce which was also charged to my card. So invoice was double paid. It has been nearly 8 months and they still did not pay the amount back to me. They also stopped replying to my e-mails. I do not know what to do. Feels like a SCAM!!!!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I takes weeks for them to send a charging key. There is no way you can contact them.
Impossible to activate
Impossible to activate.
When I bought my new EV the dealer recommended to use the Plugsurfing offer which both the dealer and I tried to set up. This was, however, impossible and we both felt it was an advertising rip-off that wasn't meant to work. In short just another rip-off.
Too expensive keyfob!
After buying my first EV and before delivery I ordered a charging tag from plugsurfing, which was delivered within 8 days. So far so good, but in the last 4 weeks I have been trying to add my Visa creditcard as a means to pay for charging........no luck!
I contacted customer service and they pointed me towards paypal, which I declined, and then told me to await the next update for their app. I updated their app yesterday, and tried to add my Visacard today.....still no luck!
Hence, I apparently bought a rather expensive keyfob, at 9,95 euro, for I shall not use their tag for charging any vehicle.
The map for finding charging stations…
The map for finding charging stations is completely useless. More than 50% of the stations doesn’t exist and the rest is wrong data (Denmark).
The app just doesn't work
The app just doesn't work. I have uninstalled & won't bother with Plugsurfing for charging, it seems to be totally useless.
Very very expensive
Very very expensive. And all they're doing is reselling.
Just download the app of the supplier you're at and add it to your charging folder.
I have no idea why anyone would use this service. Well actually, I do.
I basically got the card with a new car and coincidentally my first EV. I didn't know better.
I'm teaching you so you don't make the same mistakes.
Use it if you've got money to throw away. If you don't, download the app for the station your are at and register.
Excessive and late charging
Sent me a bill one year after a charge and charged me €4 per minute! £64 for 4.7kWh. Customer service is useless. Hopefully I can get the money back from PayPal.
They just take the rates provided by the chargepoint operator - the computer says it, it must be correct. Unable to use common sense and consider there is a mistake.
Customer service is crap
Customer service is crap!
They wrongly charged me for chargings i have never done. And i cannot get them to refund my money for the carging. They keep saying that the are investigating...hmm.
Bad bad bad customer service!!!
This company is a SCAM
This company is a SCAM! They charge you 0,60 EUR per kWh even at charging stations that provides free charging!!!
