Lovely home, great refurbishment. Bustling little village. Certainly couldn’t be closer to Fat Duck and Hind’s Head, which were both the reason for our stay in Bray.
Beautiful cottage in a very peaceful location. The interiors are gorgeous, and very comfortable. The pretty garden has lovely views of the valley beyond, and is kitted out with both table and chai... See more

Can’t wait to come back
Wonderful area, the cottage was lovely, perfectly tucked away, but within 10 mins to a local shop. The interior is 10/10, best home away from home you could want. Right next to a very quiet wooded area suitable for long walks. Only suggestion I have is a small list of opinions/ suggestions on local pubs/ restaurants. We would both 100% come and stay again, well worth the price.
We had the pleasure of staying at Plum Cottage for our 5 years anniversary
We had the pleasure of staying at the most enchanting cottage nestled amidst a picturesque countryside. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a fairytale come true. The cottage exuded warmth and charm, with its quaint details and spacious garden. Inside, every detail was meticulously crafted, blending modern amenities with rustic elegance. The cozy fireplace added to the ambiance, making evenings magical. Waking up to the gentle chirping of birds was delightful. This idyllic retreat offered an unforgettable escape, leaving my partner and I yearning to return to its captivating embrace.
A truly wonderful stay at Plum Cottage, Henley
Everything about Plum Cottage and its surroundings is idyllic. The cottage is so well designed, decorated and furnished – very stylish and elegant, making for a cosy 60th birthday surprise treat for my husband.
Unfortunately, the weather during our 2 night stay was cold, damp and miserable, but we still managed to enjoy a trip to Petworth, visiting the antique shops then back to Henley to enjoy the warmth of the wood burner before venturing up to The Duke of Cumberland Arms for a lovely evening meal – highly recommended.
Would love to return when the sun is shining to enjoy the cute cottage garden over a glass of wine and enjoy the stunning views.
I knew we would have a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing and memorable time and we look forward to visiting again.
What a great few days break!
Fantastic experience and the team made my engagement extra special! Andrew, Cara and Harry at Hills and Hayward who made us a lovely evening meal were fantastic hosts!
Would highly recommend a stay!
Plum Cottage - best of British!
Plum Cottage; what an absolute delight! The location is sublime and the owners have exquisite taste in décor.
The view from the bedroom window and garden terrace must be one of the finest in the whole of England, looking over woods and fields with horses gently grazing, deer, pheasants and even a cuckoo. Utterly tranquil.
Highlights for us locally were The Duke of Cumberland Arms (literally staggering distance, wish it was our local), Cowdray Park for its Polo matches, walks, top-end Farm Shop (think Fortnum and Mason) and café/pizza oven/homewares/clothing. We also enjoyed Midhurst (Lime & Spice Indian restaurant), Petworth (antique shops) and the vineyards of Upperton Farm (award-winning sparkling wine).
We could easily have stayed longer; one week left us wanting more.
Our stay at Plum cottage Henley was…
Our stay at Plum cottage Henley was everything we hoped for and more. A weekend away from children, just the two of us. The option to do as much or as little as we liked. The surrounding towns are beautiful, there is ample local choice for eating out. Stunning walks nearby. But the cottage itself is what deserves all praise. It is the most tasteful, beautifully put together home. The interiors are not only beautiful to look at it but also very comfortable. It was the first trip we’ve taken where we just wanted to spent all our time making the most of being able to truly relax. Read books, cook & start a new series by being able to log in to accounts on the smart TV. Enjoying an evening glass of wine on the very comfortable outdoor furniture. We will definitely be back. Having stayed at Plum we are well & truly converted to self catering stays. Thank you to Cara for being such a wonderful Host and ensuring any queries we had were answered in advance of our stay. Can’t wait for our next visit.
We loved Plum Cottage
We were given a gift of a 2 night stay at Plum Cottage, and it certainly exceeded our expectations. The setting is beautiful and inside the cottage is a real treat . As soon as we opened the door we realised that this was a special place, Firstly, it was spotlessly clean . The decor and furnishings are so well thought out , the sofas are so comfortable , and the not so good weather gave us the perfect opportunity to light the log fire ( even thought the underfloor heating meant the place was warm!), and chill out! The Aesop toiletries were a real treat and the gorgeous candles and diffusers were so relaxing .
There were several little towns to visit , and in the evening we had a delicious meal in the pub , a 2 minute walk from the cottage .
We will definitely return!
Thanks Cara, for ensuring we had a lovely stay .
We couldn't recommend Plum Cottage…
We couldn't recommend Plum Cottage enough. The property is the perfect size for a short or long stay with the bedroom upstairs and living area downstairs and is beautifully decorated. We stayed here for our babymoon, enjoying nights in taking advantage of the well equipped kitchen with food bought from Cowdray Farm Shop, keeping cosy by the fire on the comfy sofas & watching Netflix. It's a short stroll to the best pub where we managed to enjoy drinks outside as a walk-in and had booked a meal in their marquee for one of our eves. In addition there are walks straight from your doorstep and they've even got welly boots for you borrow. Or it's easy to get to all the local villages. It's great for all weather, with a large garden and patio area. We enjoyed our dreamy frothy coffees in the morning in the large comfy bed, looking out over the fields and long baths. It was the perfect weekend away and we are already planning our next booking. Thank you for having us.
