I've never experienced a more user-friendly sauna and cold-plunge experience. Using both the plunge and the sauna together was an incredible experience that left me feeling 100% better afterwards.

I purchased the Plunge Mini sauna with high expectations, but after several months of ownership, I have to say this feels very much like a first-generation product that still has significant kinks to work out.
Build Quality Issues
The overall fit, feel, and finish are disappointing. The knobs on the fan and light switch feel cheap and loose, as if they were never properly fitted. The wood frame around the fan unit was simply nailed in, and after only a few months it has already come loose. Insulation is poor—if the temperature outside is cold, not only does it take a long time to heat up, but the sauna also never reaches the higher temps advertised.
Performance Shortcomings
The biggest issue is that the unit simply does not get as hot as promised, especially when it's cold outside. In the summer, it doesn't seem to be a problem. When I first raised this, customer service walked back the claim that the sauna reaches 230°F, qualifying instead that it only does so under “perfect conditions”—a vague explanation at best. Even the thermometer included in the accessories kit confirmed the lower temperatures. When I pointed this out, I was told the thermometer must be off and that I needed to calibrate it. Why sell a kit with an uncalibrated thermometer in the first place?
Customer Service & Installation Frustrations
I paid extra for installation, yet immediately noticed a gap in the glass door, after a week of ownership. When I reported this, customer service put me through a rather lengthy process to “prove” my space was level—even after I sent them detailed documentation. Their pushback was that my concrete floor was unlevel, which made little sense given their installers had gone through with the job without raising that issue in the first place. Eventually, they agreed to replace the door, which fixed the problem and validated my original complaint. But they would not send anyone to pick up the faulty door, frame, pallet, and packaging—leaving me to pay for disposal out of pocket.
To make matters worse, the first replacement door they sent arrived shattered in transit and had to be rejected. This delayed the entire process for me. Missing parts from the initial delivery also had to be resent, and later they shipped me an additional bottom piece (meant to help shield wind and retain heat) that should have been included in the first place.
Design Considerations
Heat escapes too easily, insulation is subpar, and the second step should really be adjustable to fit different body profiles. These are usability issues that should be addressed in future iterations.
Positives
The sauna does look nice-super modern. Its compact size makes it a good fit for small spaces—those were my primary reasons for purchasing.
Overall
If you're looking for a sauna to fit in a small space and can put it indoors I think this product is a good choice, but just be wary that it still feels like a first-gen product. For the price and the claims made, the quality, performance, and support fall short imo. I wanted to love it, but as it stands today, I cannot recommend it beyond 2 stars. Hopefully, future versions will address these shortcomings.

I can no longer live without my Plunge. I am in it before work, after workouts, and after the sauna. I feel energized, healthy, and calm. It sets the tone for my day, and I always look forward to it. We buy many things in this world, but few purchases really impact our lives qualitatively. This is one of those buys for me.

we have purchased both the Sauna and Cold plunge. Easy to set up, quality products we use daily! Get in there. TB

I love my Plunge cold plunge, but my experience with their sauna has been very disappointing. The product quality is poor, and they do not stand behind their warranty. After just over a year of ownership, the electrical box failed with a loud pop, leaving the heater completely nonfunctional.
When I contacted customer service, they put me through countless troubleshooting steps only to ultimately deny coverage under warranty. The root cause was a basic manufacturing oversight—the electrical box was never sealed, which allowed water and insects to enter and damage the system. This problem could have easily been prevented with a small amount of sealant during production.
This company refuses to take responsibility for obvious manufacturing flaws. Sealing electrical systems is a basic requirement for any product designed for outdoor use, yet they failed to do so. Instead of standing behind their product, they placed the blame on me—the customer. That alone says everything about the integrity of this company.
Now I’m stuck paying over $1,000 out of pocket to get it working again, doing all the repairs myself. Rest assured, I’ll be sealing the electrical box properly this time—something the manufacturer should have done from the start. Customers deserve better.
Because of this experience, I will not be purchasing from Plunge again.

I want to share my experience with Plunge customer support, in hopes that others can avoid the mistake I made. Really it’s just confirming many of these other posts. Plunge might have the worst customer support of any company I have dealt with. My thought is that the Plunge tub is aesthetically beautiful, but what they are selling is lipstick on a pig. I have recently had an issue with my water pump, where the water is not cycling through the system, almost as if it’s air locked. Which we have determined is not the issue. Long story short, I started going to work trying to fix the issue. If you call customer support they will not answer your call, ever. Try it. In the answering service they push you towards submitting a ticket via email or on their site, at which point you’ll get an email response the next day, if you’re lucky. The initial support email was a request for pictures and videos of the issue, which I had already sent in, in the previous email. So after a few days I got nowhere with support other than pictures sent. As frustrated as I was with the issue, I finally called the sales line because I figured at least I’d get a human; although it works to connect with a person, all they will say is that they are going to “escalate” the issue to support. Fast forward 11 days to my initial contact with support, many many phone call attempts (not one of which was answered), and a lot of clearly automated emails from the company, 2 different sales people that answered my calls, I finally got a guy named Brian with support that tried to help.
After all this, they wanted me to submit a claim on X-cover, which was basically me redoing everything I had previously done in sharing videos and pics of the issue. Where we are with this issue now is that Plunge is going to send me a new power source for the water pump (which I’ve already tried). When/if that doesn’t work then they will be sending me an upgraded water pump, which will require new plumbing. All of which I have to do myself because they “don’t have any techs in my region”. Mind you I live in Northern California about 2.5 hrs from their company HQ’s. I even explained to Brian that I had already tried a new pump/power source as I looked up the make and model of the pump and bought a replacement myself from Amazon. Long story short, that wasn’t the fix. I can go on and on telling the details about this, but I’ve probably bored you enough already. If you’re thinking about a Plunge, please consider a different direction. Otherwise you might find yourself with an issue and no resources to fix it, other than the troubleshooting videos on their website, which are extremely basic.
I threw it all to the wind towards the end of last week and I went ahead and purchased a Morozko unit, which I thought about doing initially but I was saving some money with Plunge. Well you get what you pay for. I made the purchase and a sales manager called me over the weekend to introduce himself and talk to me about their product, and today the shipping manager called me to inform me that the ice bath was shipping out. Both of them gave me their numbers and followed up with email. They are direct numbers. So far I’ve interacted with 3 people with Morozko, all of which were very helpful and excited about their product. I bought a Morozko unit that was already built and assembled, so it’s set to arrive in 3 days. The hilarious thing is my Morozko is going to arrive before any replacement parts from Plunge.
The kicker in this whole Plunge issue is when I expressed my frustration with the pace and lack of dependability of the process, representative for Plunge have good lines to feed you, but dont actually take action to fix it. They stick to their email/claim/pic sending process. You’d think someone would almost be willing to get in the car and drive 2.5 hours to come take a look in person. Especially since it’s been dragged out for 12 + days at this point. I forgot to mention that I am also a Plunge sauna owner, so a pretty good customer of theirs. Well they lost me.
If you’re on the fence, do not choose Plunge. They will not be helpful if something goes wrong with your cold tub. I can’t speak for the various other companies in the space, but I should have spent the extra money initially and gone with Morozko.

I love the sauna! Great for health and recovery! Sauna support is very helpful as well. I will continue to tell people about this.

I spent over $6,000 for my plunge in order complete cold water exposure therapy year round. I was tired of having to buy ice and wait 20 minutes any time I wanted to do a cold water session.
If you ask the plunge sales bot if the unit can operate in cold temps the answer is "Yes, the Plunge can be used year-round, even in freezing temps, keep the chiller running while in use". Note, I wasn't able to post a screenshot of the chat due to limitations with Trust Pilot.
When unboxing the Plunge the first disclaimer that you read is that you have to winterize the plunge during the first freeze of the year unless you have the heated version of the product. I don't have the heated unit as I wasn't aware of this limitation. It's not made clear during the sales process.
I live in the Midwest and it freezes for a good 4-6 months of the year. So I just paid over $6,000 for a unit a can't use for half of the year.
Frustrated by the lack of year around functionality, I reached out to the Plunge team and requested to upgrade my unit to the heated version so that I could maintain year around use.
I offered to pay for the upgraded unit and just asked that Plunge could waive the 15% restocking fee and the shipping fee due to the misleading information from their sales bot.
In short, Plunge wouldn't acknowledge that their bot provided incorrect information, despite me sending in a screenshot of the conversation. Plunge refused to waive any fees whatsoever and said that I should have known the unit needed winterized since they have it listed in their user manuals posted on the Plunge site.
I can't believe that I spent so much money on a product for Plunge not to be willing to do anything to correct the misleading information posted by their sales bot.
I was planning on spending another $10,000 on the Sauna, which I obviously will no longer be doing. The lack of support and lack of focus on the customer experience and satisfaction really shocked and disappointed me. Especially considering the price tag of their products.
Plunge seems to be making very short sited business decisions and based on the reception I got from their customer service team and the misleading information during the sales process, I cannot recommend their product.
Hope this helps anyone looking to invest in a cold water therapy unit.

Purchased a Sauna mini in December. The door was out of spec leaving a massive gap at the top where all the heat escapes. It is now nearly August and they have still not resolved the issue. The list of failures and complete lack of service or any kind of care is far to long to type out here. This is the worst and most apathetic customer care I've ever seen from a company. I regret the purchase and will never do business with the company again. I have had their original cold plunge for years now. It had some maintenance issues and needed a new filter assembly installed which they handled albeit not quickly. The overall product is good but I cannot support a company that does not support their product and cannot resolve a simple problem in the span of 8 months.
Update 13 AUG. while I appreciate the below sentiment I’ve been trying to get in touch with the repair tech for weeks now. I messaged plunge directly again yesterday and still no one has contacted me personally. I hope that will change this week. FEDEX sent me legal notice of a rejected freight shipment, plunge says my ticket is closed out so I submitted another one today. Actions not words. Redemption is coming I hope.

Highly recommend!
I absolutely love my plunge!
I’ve had it outside in the San Francisco Maritime climate for two years and it’s still running strong. No problems. Great customer service great product. What an amazing way to end a stressful day and get flooded with dopamine. It’s one of the best gifts I’ve ever given myself. I simply can’t be in a bad mood afterwards. And now I am seriously considering getting the sauna too.

Disappointing Support for the Plunge Sauna
The Plunge Sauna might be a solid product, but the customer service is seriously lacking. Support was slow, vague, and unhelpful — most of the advice I got could’ve been Googled. They don’t stock or help source replacement heating elements, and offered no discount or assistance. No phone support either — I had to track down their director myself just to get answers. This delay cost us a $2,000/year member and nearly more. For a high-ticket item, the lack of service is unacceptable. We won’t be buying another Plunge Sauna as we grow — we’ll look for a manufacturer with real support.

I’m in my late 60s and have dealt with my fair share of aches, joint pain, and stiffness over the years as an athlete in my youth and a postal worker for 32+ years before retirement. I was skeptical at first, but after using the Plunge (I have both the tub and the sauna), I can honestly say it’s one of the best things I’ve done for my body.
The Plunge took a little getting used to, but now it’s part of my daily routine—and I actually look forward to it. My knees feel better, my back isn’t as tight, and I’m sleeping more soundly at night.
The sauna is equally impressive. It’s the perfect wind-down at the end of the day and helps with circulation and soreness. It’s like having a spa right at home.
If you’re older like me and looking for some relief and a new lease on life, I highly recommend giving Plunge a try. You won’t regret it!
From the moment my Plunge arrived, I knew I was investing in more than just a product—I was investing in my health and mindset. The quality is unmatched, and setup was a breeze. Whether the Plunge or the sauna, the design is sleek, durable, and built for everyday use.
The cold therapy has drastically improved my recovery, energy, and mental clarity. The sauna is equally impressive—powerful heat, clean design, and an incredibly relaxing experience after a long day.
Customer service was also top-notch. The team at Plunge genuinely cares, and you can feel it in both their product and their support.
This has easily become the best part of my daily routine. Highly recommend to anyone looking to uplevel their wellness!
Buyer BEWARE!!
We bought both a plunge AND the 4 person sauna in spring of 2023 for $15k+. It came late and didn’t arrive until Fall of 2023. We had an electrician come out and install the right power outlets and keep both in our garage out of the weather for context of how we take care of it.
Plunge tub review:
Soon after we got the plunge tub (about 1 month), a brand new model came out. We emailed them asking if we could return the plunge and pay the difference (note that it would’ve been THOUSANDS of dollars more). We figured after spending $15k with them, they would allow us to upgrade and pay more. Nope. Now it’s Jan 2025 and the plunge already has broken. The electric component went out. They’ve said that it will cost $600 to send us a new part. I would think for how much this sauna costs, the part should last longer than 15months…
Sauna review:
The sauna is overall not horrible but it seems cheaply made and the design is dumb because you can’t sit and lean back without hitting your head on the slanted ceiling. All the heat rises to the other side, so it’s an inefficient design. The app never works and is very glitchy. Probably could have just bought the hardware and had someone build a custom one for cheaper honestly — especially since you basically build the whole thing yourself when it gets delivered. The lights at the top glitch out quickly from the heat. The sauna is already making a weird sound that doesn’t sound good.
Their customer support is not great and it seems like once they’ve sold to you, they don’t care - they got your money. Will not be buying from them again.
The Plunge Sauna was a bit expensive but worth every dime. The exterior looks absolutely beautiful in my backyard and the heat! Wow, the heat!! Nothing better than looking out from my sauna at winter weather while comfortably nestled in my 200 degree, steamy sauna. The fact that’s it’s made in the US put me over the line on the purchase, so glad I crossed it. Great sauna. Highly recommended!
Plunge has been awesome from start to finish. Ordering was easy, and their customer service was super helpful and quick to respond. The tub & sauna look amazing—great quality and really well-made. The plunge tubs and sauna are the top of the line products in the space. No other brands come close to the performance and quality of the plunge products!
My husband and I are extremely pleased with the exceptional customer service and the high quality of our cold plunge. Over three years ago, we acquired our Plunge, and our experience has been nothing short of fantastic. The setup process with the Plunge team was incredibly seamless, making it easy for us to get everything up and running.
Recently when we decided to switch to a newer chilling unit, the customer service department provided invaluable assistance throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond answering our questions and providing us with support. In the blink of an eye, we had our new chiller. We genuinely cannot express enough how grateful we are for the outstanding service we have received.
Now, I just have to wait patiently as I am saving up to get my sauna. I absolutely love its design and cannot wait to enjoy the benefits in my own home and enhance my cold plunging experience!
