Phone support only/

If you are thinking of using this company go to their website first and try and find a support link. The only support they offer is on the phone where you will be kept hanging on. Send an email to their support and you get an auto-reply asking you to create a ticket despite the fact that option doesn't exist.

My mother died so her account was frozen. There is still £3 to pay and they say they will pass it to a debt collector if I don't pay, but they don't tell me how I can pay other than phoning them which I won't do because I live overseas. They need to provide a support system which is convenient for customers not staff

Awful customer service

Awful customer service, promised call backs never happen. Not renewing my long time contract (7 years) with them, after being told a renewal price 18th May by first customer service agent and phoning later 24th May and told a "manager" needed to listen to the phone call to verify?the given price. Phoned again 26th and 28th and again 29th May, not one phone call back. Goodbye plusnet.

Just had notification for our renewals…

Just had notification for our renewals for our broadband and phone contract with Plusnet.
It's the usual "your contract is running out...if you do not renew it'll cost a lot" kinda thing.
So rang up Plusnet and after a short wait got through to a really friendly guy called Jack Tansley.
He got our package renewed "like for like" at a very competitive price with the minimal fuss or pain.....no haggling.....no weird discount matrix....just "I can do it for this amount...how's that sound?"
Bearing in that we were previously with Virgin, which was a complete nightmare when trying to contact anyone let alone try and negotiate any form of renewal discount, this was an absolute breeze.
I'm not sure why Plusnet get flak on this review site.....we've been with them just on 2 years....have had very little issues with services provided, and when we have they've been resolved very quickly.
And we've never had a bad experience on the rare occasions we've had to call them.
Compared to Virgin and BT, who we've been with before, I'd not hesitate to continue to use them and recommend them to others.

Friendly, helpful, professional customer service

I looked for a new provider. Plusnet have great reviews from official sites. After switching I found out my TalkTalk had months to go to contract end and that it would cost me £80 to switch. Plusnet were very understanding and refunded me immediately. Will switch once my contract is up.

shocking tactics

Been with plusnet for a good few years & been delighted with the service,support, & reliability, my router has been playing up for some time now & they have done everything to avoid replacing it without me signing up to a 24 month contract (hasn't taken BT long to influence high pressure sales.. I'm off to another provider. shocking tactics

Do not even consider joining this company. Their service is awful, their contract devious and misleading. They don't ship you your router till their 14 day trial ends at which point you're locked into the contract. When you try to get out of it, they have ridiculous charges to terminate after only being with them for four days!! AVOID!!!!

Worse company I’ve dealt with poor quality

Bad company rubbish service
Mess direct debit payments up so they don’t come out when you request then try and charge you for missed payment so you pay it then next month they add extra and say it’s from last month a late fee. Constantly having to use my phone data as WiFi never works but yet if I want someone to come out and look the router they can charge me don’t even waste your time definitely find a difference service

PLUSNET

I signed up for internet then decided to stay with talk talk they gave me a better deal
I was told I was getting a refund that I was entitled to
7/03 still waiting for my money back this company are disgraceful
I won’t be going with them in the future they owe me money ???

PLUSNET STILL HAVE NOT REFUNDED ME MY MONEY?????

Plusnet has promised me a refund weeks ago
Not received it they now tell me they will send it on the 29th April I’m told they only send a cheque not paid into my bank account
The refund is because I decided not to go with them
So they have my money and I have not had any service from them
Please how can they do this to people how do they get away with this ????

New customer still waiting for internet and phone services to start after 6 days!

Absolutely AWFUL!

Switched over to them 6 days ago and STILL waiting for my internet and phone line to be connected!!!!

After the 6th phone call to them today I am still no wiser as to when we will have internet and phone connection and the service operator couldn't advise me either.

They take payment prior to your switchover date so when you are still without any internet or phone days or weeks later you are completely stuck.

I have no idea how to get on to a different company now without losing my money and breaking a contract.

Avoid avoid AVOID at all costs.

It has taken Plusnet some 3 months to…

It has taken Plusnet some 3 months to bill me £65 for an engineer to visit my home. He did no work at all and left the phone socket in pieces. The fault was before the main socket in my home therefore plusnet's responsibillity.

I renewed my contract the other week as I was unaware that the charge was going to be made after so long. Had I known that I was still to be billed I would have been looking for a different provider.

I have today cancelled my mobile with them, and certainly will not be renewing my broadband contract in the future.

If you needs to stream wireless forget…

If you needs to stream wireless forget Plusnet. On the plus side they did answer the phone and try to improve things, but at the end of the day the router was terrible and the 70mbps going into it (according to them) rarely exceeded 23mbps coming out and would drop down 1mbps on a regular basis!

Plusnet Yorkshire in disgrace

What is happening. Plusnet the nice Friendly company. Not any more. Impossible to contact. No web chat or email for mobile users, really helpful when my problem is with their mobile service...customer services via phone only.! Lots of people like myself having problems roaming in Spain. If you are lucky enough to find a signal,Plusnet will only connect to the very poor local provider Yoigo. There are great signals from the likes of orange, Vodafone and Movistar in the area..but no matter how I try my phone (and phones) will not connect to them. I am sitting here with a dead phone. This is not good enough. I can’t even access someone from plusnet to look into the matter. The only ‘help’ can be found on their forum where members correspond..or in this case confirm my complaint.

Declining provider

Do not Join plusnet

Do not I repeat do not consider joining plusnet. I truly had better connection for wifi when the internet used a dial up tone 25 years ago. I’m appalled and disgusted with their web of lies for having such good speed and connection, I can’t even watch sky tv in 1 day without buffering, freezing and failing connection. Never ever again.

Account randomly deactivated!!

Plusnet have randomly deactivated our internet without any reason or request and they don’t have any idea why!!!!!! We moved house 5 weeks ago and all has been fine with the move over until yesterday evening! This is the response from Plusnet: ‘Thanks for your call today. When we was processing your house move orders, the billing has broken on your account which would then effect the components and the invoices wouldn't be generated correctly. This may affect your services from working too. We will get in touch with you on 22.03.21 to check if the system has been updated and the components have been activated, if not then we would discuss creating a new account with you. We will also discuss the time where you have been billed for as you mentioned. We are sorry for the inconvenience‘ - Plusnet have basically messed up the billing and as a consequence suspended our account and now do not appear to be capable of reactivating - We work from home and access to internet is crucial for us to be able do our jobs - thanks very much Plusnet, we have been a loyal customer of yours for 4 years!

Had problems from the start

Had problems from the start, buffering all the time, disconnecting for no reason. Awful, awful awful and I can't emphasise this enough, AWFUL. Go to a reputable company and get a decent broadband product because Plusnets product isn't very good at all. To add to this the price gets hiked when your contract ends so you ending paying even more for a product that was already substandard? Lesson learnt but for the love of God, do yourselves a favour and avoid at all costs.
