We loaded the pod and locked it and sent our dishes, books, furniture and everything across the country, and when we unlocked the pod it looked just like when we locked it, and had almost no losses of dishes or glass on pictures, etc. The stuff in the pd didn't move around at all! Pickup and delivery of the pod happened on time and within the original windows of time estimated. We were very happy with the results of using PODS.

Best part was the ease of loading on my own time schedule.

Pods did a great job with our move from Erie, PA to Jacksonville, FL. Highly recommend!

Was able to schedule delivery of a POD via their website. It was delivered within the promised timeframe. POD was in good/clean condition. Delivery driver was courteous and was careful to place the POD where I desired without damaging surrounding lawn in vicinity of the concrete apron where it was placed. Pick up was just as easy.

I didn't have to worry about my possessions, once they were stored. POD drop off and pick-ups were effortless. My POD rental started in March and ended in May.

I am absolutely livid and feel completely scammed by PODS.
On February 6, 2026 I ordered a 16-ft container with the understanding that I hadn’t finalized my new home yet but the destination would be somewhere in North Carolina near the Outer Banks. The original Order Confirmation clearly quoted $1,075.29 for long-distance transit to Nags Head, NC plus redelivery. I even told them upfront that the exact address might change slightly within that general area.
Fast forward to April 25 when I updated the final address to Havelock, NC — literally about 60 miles from the original location, still in the same coastal North Carolina region. Suddenly PODS jacked the long-distance transit charge up to $1,856.50. After I complained and filed a BBB complaint, they “graciously” applied the promotional discount they should have used in the first place and dropped it to $1,578.03… still over $800 more than the price they originally quoted me in writing.
I relied on that original quote when planning my entire move. They knew the destination wasn’t 100% locked in. This is textbook deceptive business practice — quote one price to get you to sign, then punish you for a minor change they were already aware might happen.
I went through the BBB, they gave me the runaround and a tiny partial “correction.” FMCSA told me to take it up with state law. PODS basically shrugged and said “different facility, too bad.” No real goodwill, no real solution.
This company operates on bait-and-switch pricing and hidden gotchas. If your move involves even the slightest flexibility in drop-off location, stay far away. They will nickel-and-dime you into oblivion and laugh while they do it. NOW, they have upped the price to $2200 total AND charging me a 'fuel travel surcharge' of $39!!!!
Never again. Save yourself the headache and the extra $800+ and go with literally any other moving/storage company.

I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH AN UPDATE TO THE PRICING FOR CHANGING THE DELIVERY ADDRESS, THE PROBLEM IS THE AMOUNT THEY 'ADJUSTED' THE PRICE. YOU CAN GO TO GOOGLE MAPS AND MAP THE DISTANCE TO OUTER BANKS NC FROM STAFFORD VA, IT IS 237 MILES AND TO HAVELOCK NC FROM STAFFORD VA, IT IS 291 MILES. TAKE THAT DIFFERENCE OF 54 MILES, DO THE MATH, THE ORIGINAL COST OF $4.52/MILE, THE ADDITIONAL MILEAGE SHOULD COST AROUND $244.08, PODS IS CHARGING ME AN ADDITIONAL $1,100!!! THAT IS $20.37/MILE!!!!! THAT IS MY COMPLAINT, BAIT AND SWITCH 100%.

Easy to reserve, schedule pick up / drop off. Everything was timely and easy.

Everything went very smoothly. They arrived within the timeframe quoted and were very careful of the placement and removal of the pods

PODS is a great place to do business with there very efficient and well organized! Everything went smoothly from the delivery through the pick up! The best thing was they give you a three hour time frame as to when they will arrive!!!

Everytime I logged on to check my account while I was in rehab for spinal cord injuries, my amount owed changed, and not for the good. Everytime I tried to talk with a rep, I was unable to make contact with one more than 80% of the time. Will not use PODS again EVER.

No time limit, no stress. Keep it as long as needed. The convenience of not having to pack my car and drive it to storage, then pack my car again to move to the next location.

I had a very hard time with the customer service getting in touch with the local store that delivered our unit. I took weeks to get a situation rectified and finally the 800 number people helped me because they tried over and over for someone to call them back from local and they never did

Renting a POD was significantly easier than using a moving truck for multiple days. The convenience of having it delivered right to my home and being able to load and unload at my own pace made the entire moving process much less stressful. It saved me from having to rush, coordinate truck return times, or deal with driving a large truck. Overall, a smooth, flexible, and stress-free experience. Highly recommend for anyone moving.

Good service and communication. Driver John was friendly and made unit fit in area with limited access. First time using pods and good overall experience. Would definitely utilize their services again.

I was told the PODS were air tight and safe from vermin and bugs etc. My POD was locked and not opened for a year until our move day and it was totally infested with mice. We had to throw away two $4,000 brand new mattresses, two $800 dining room chairs and many quilts, sheets, pillows etc. Also a couch and loveseat were ruined. I would NOT recommend these PODS to anyone keeping them in their driveway. I should be compensated in some way but did not take the insurance.

Storage, delivery and pick up. I was misled and expect a refund. This was costly, time consuming, and restraints on the move.

Although my storage time period lasted longer than I anticipated, as I was unable to sell my condo in 11 weeks, being able to store my extra items in a Pod without schlepping car loads across town made the experience so much easier. The pickup and drop off were super easy, and the renewal with the charge to my credit card each month was worry free.

The only area of improvement I would suggest would be in communication. It seemed odd not to get an emailed notice from you each month before my rental renewed, and after I scheduled my pickup, I never got the notice the night before mentioning my pickup window. I got this message just a few hours before the actual window began, the morning of the pickup date. On one hand, it's nice to not get spammed with constant emails and reminders from a company I've contracted with, but a few more heads-up notices would have been appreciated, especially after the pickup was scheduled.

But overall, a great experience.
