Amazing customer service both pre…

Amazing customer service both pre purchase and post purchase from Dave! I purchased a watch for my son’s 18th birthday after coming across Pompeak on a site listing British watchmakers. I loved the design and reviews were very good so went with it hoping my son would like it. Unfortunately he wasn’t totally sold on the style - personal preference- but I was extremely impressed with the quality of the watch. Solid and weighty! Lovely design too. Dave was extremely responsive and understanding throughout and immediately offered a refund no quibbles. Top service and I hope the brand goes far. Will be tracking their progress and may even return for one of their watches myself in the future!

Excellent Pompeak customer service

I bought a watch from Pompeak in March 2024, which I have worn occasionally and have been extremely happy with it. Unfortunately recently I noticed that there was some deterioration in the watch strap. Pompeak were really responsive in addressing the issue and immediately arranged to send me a new strap. A big shout out to Dave at Pompeak who is customer service personified. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Superb and outstanding friendly service

After buying the Pompeak Sub-Aquatic via the Kickstarter campaign I was thrilled how fast the watch arrived - almost two weeks ahead of schedule.
With the attached QR code the setup was easy and very intuitive.

After a few months I noticed the watch had stopped over night even though I was wearing it 24/7. So, I contacted Pompeak via the form on their website and after about two hours Dave got back to me. For troubleshooting purposes he had a lot more questions than I had anticipated. But, he had also attached a thorough walk-through for me which I follwed in every detail. After about two weeks of sending emails back and forth Dave decided that he needed the watch at hand to further investigate the issue. Without hesitation he sent me a pre-paid shipping label and organised a parcel pickup after I ran into problems with the German postal service.

Because Dave was going out of the country for a few weeks he replaced the entire body (inc movement) and sent the watch back to me. Since the arrival the watch is back to full operational and I can enjoy this gorgeous piece of work.

All in all I couldn't be happier with the service Pompeak provided. Dave was always outstandingly friendly and helped in what felt like no-time at all.

Great after care

Excellent customer service, I had a slight issue with my sub aquatic bezel which I purchased in the kickstarter campaign. So i got in touch with pompeak and had a quick response from Dave one of the founders, he offered to pay for the return so he could take a look at the watch, after receiving the watch, Dave and his team replaced the bezel and sent the watch back to me a week later, couldn’t be happier, thanks Pompeak

The Right Choice!

After the Kickstarter campaign ended I was surprised how quickly (especially compared to other KS campaigns I've supported) I received the Pompeak Sub-Aquatic diver's watch.
I chose the version with the blue/black gradient dial, black ceramic bezel insert, stainless steel bracelet and the Elabore movement upgrade.
I was really pleased with the product but it took a while for me to get around to wear it more frequently (this is normal for me...).
I learned to love it more and more once I did! The combination of 904L (!!) stainless steel (case and bracelet!), the well-established swiss Stellita 200-1 movement (upgraded Elabore version with: Incabloc, heat-treated (blue) screws and special surface polish), the two-sided sapphire crystal, the great swiss Superluminova (blue) lume, the well-designed, non-intrusive, functional hands, indexes, texts and fonts on the dial and the clean blue/black gradient dial (waffle-style, 3D dial option is probably more popular) and also the 120-click unidirectional bezel with black ceramic insert (blue ceramic insert available too as far as I remember).
Other great things:
Date window, hacking, screw-down crown, 20ATM water-resistance and a micro-adjusting clasp on the steel bracelet/silicone strap.
This makes a great first luxury watch, as it did in my case!
The few things I have to point out:
- The downward-facing, outer corners of the lugs are quite pointy. Not an issue with bare wrists but might be with a wetsuit?
- Not sure if this is normal (I'm no watch expert!) but the notches on the screw-down cover of the back of the case could be aligned better. The notch on the cover should line up with the crown on the case (I am aware that I'm nit-picking!).
- When I look closely at the 12 o'clock marker on the rotatable bezel I can see that the lume isn't applied 100% consistently.
- Through the transparent back I can see a very small smudge on the pendulum of the movement. This is something I will ask a watch maker to remove once I take the watch to its first service.
- About 8 months after receiving my Sub-Aquatic and after approx. 1 month of daily wearing the watch, a hidden and inaccessible screw holding the bracelet to the case got lost or broke on me. I applied Loctite to every screw that I had access to upon receiving the watch. I couldn't get to the screw I ultimately lost though...
That being said, as soon as I mentioned this issue to Pompeak's customer service, everything was done to get the replacement parts (the first few links connecting the case to the bracelet) to me as quickly as possible! Definitely no complaints there!
- This only concerns the blue/black gradient dial and is something I noticed but am not actually sure if it is intentional or not: the "boarder" between the blue and the black half of the dial isn't horizontal. The two colours meet slightly above the date window and a tiny bit below or at the 9 o'clock mark on the other side. This doesn't bother be. In fact, I prefer the transition of the two colours being "slightly off".
- The last thing I can think of is price: It's not Pompeak's fault and I chose to put down more cash to get the upgraded movement but still... £200 (I think) extra for the Elabore movement!? It seems excessive to me.

I want to point out the painless communication and great customer service I have experienced dealing with Pompeak Watches! Absolutely exemplary!

The Sub-Aquatic was the first watch (and only 1 of 2 so far, the second one hasn't arrived yet) that I got though Kickstarter. After seeing and considering DOZENS of somewhat comparable diver's watches on Kickstarter, I grow more and more confident every day that the Pompeak Sub-Aquatic was the right choice!

To be honest

To be honest, I ordered the watch and had a problem. The owner of the company personally handled the warranty issue and replaced the watch with a brand new one. Company stands behind there product. And, it is a beautiful watch! Worth every penny!

Great watches, Great aftercare!

I happened to come across pompeak on a popular seller platform. When I seen their blue Waffle dial sub I had to have it. On receiving the watch I was instantly very impressed, you could tell it was a well built quality piece.. the 904l steel definitely has a different feeling on the wrist, warm and smooth compared to 316..it looks premium. I did however notice a small issue with the movement, nothing major so i wasn't particularly worried. I contacted pompeak just to confirm all was OK.. I received a response back from customer service almost straight away, it was Dave the co-founder. After a quick chat he more or less asked me to just send it across so they could have a look at.. I was quite hesitatant as I didn't have it long, it quickly became my favourite watch in the collection.. i sent it across anyway and got word back that it did require some lubrication and that they would cover it under warranty which I was extremely happy about. I was not the original buyer so I was quite surprised, however I did acquire the documents/receipts that was required. Dave kept me updated on the progress and before long I got an e-mail telling me it was on the way back to me.. Watch is now back on wrist, and I even got an unexpected little gift, a pompeak branded travel pouch for my trouble.. Overall the watch and the aftercare is second to none.. I would have no problems recommending pompeak for their products and customer service. Excellent, thank you to all involved.

I have had my eye on Pompeak for some…

I have had my eye on Pompeak for some time; missed the first round with the sub-aquatic, but just took delivery of one (Blue Waffle Dial, rubber strap). It is a real beauty in every way-very much worth the wait. The dial is hard to do justice to (photos on the Pompeak site are great, but in person, it is even better).

Communication from the team is excellent; they are responsive and helpful, and shipping was clear and quick (to USA in my case). I expect that I will be back for more!

Absolutely amazing service

Absolutely amazing service. I received the Pompeak sub-aquatic as a gift. The watch comes in a presentation box and is well wrapped for delivery. The watch itself looks and feels amazing. Very pleased with it indeed.

A month or so after having it, I thought the watch was running a bit slower than expected, so got in touch with Pompeak via email. Really couldn’t have been easier. I was advised to return the watch via special delivery. Pompeak confirmed they’d received the watch and ran a series of extensive tests. They also followed up with a series of questions, ie when did I wear it, for what activities etc. This company really knows it’s stuff.

The owner, having run the first set of tests, then repeated them to validate the results before returning the watch with some useful guidance and information. They’ve since followed up to see how I’ve been getting on with the watch.

The watches are excellent and the personal service is first class. Couldn’t fault them at all.

Attractive and well built timepiece, that deserves its plaudits.

What to say? The 'Open heart' watch was delivered with impressive celerity. It sits in the Goldilocks zone of being just the right size and is both comfortable and extremely attractive with a polished case that has perfect symmetry with the gorgeous brown hue of the supplied strap. In the short time that it has been in my possession it runs within the acceptable timekeeping parameters. I was also thankful of the supplied tracking info that kept me appraised of the watch's whereabouts.

Nonexistent warranty, poor customer service.

Glass cracked on the watch the first day of use. Contacted Pompeak about a replacement, I was told they cannot replace the glass as they are incapable and to take it to Timpsons for the repair. Once inspected by their advised repairer he said I should speak to them again about a warranty replacement as the glass was cracked internally from beasel pressure on the glass and told that sapphire glass doesn’t just crack easily and any impact would be visible in the surface of the glass. After contacting Pompeak about this I was refused warranty and future emails ignored. After contacting on social media they blocked me from there. Avoid this company at all costs, their warranty is a lie and you’ll just get ignored. To top this off Timpsons said they had never heard of the company and were not in their data base of watch manufacturers.

As discussed via our email conversations: Our 2 year warranty covers any and all manufacturing defects. If such a defect is found we will happily repair/replace the faulty component at no cost to the customer.
Our warranty does not cover accidental damage to the glass which had occurred weeks into your ownership of the watch and after several wears as you reported in your email.
To clarify, we do not have an advised repair shop, we suggested a watch repair shop "such as Timpsons" as they are well known across the UK and should be able to replace the glass of a watch from any brand, known or not.

Once again, I am sorry you have had an issue with your watch, a glass replacement should be a very quick job for any reputable repair shop and will allow you to continue enjoying your new timepiece in no time.

We have never and will never ignore any email we get, so if we can do anything else for you, please resume the email conversation.

The best in the game!

Pompeak has been the perfect accessory for all occasions. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the original full metallic watches. The build quality is up there with the big brands yet the price tag is a fraction of these brands. I have been recommending these watches since I received mine and will continue to do so.
I can’t wait to see this company grow!
