Company shuts down every few years

This company used to be called Extending Outdoors LTD.

Before that: Telescopic Pool Enclosures UK Limited

and Economy Pool Enclosures LTD

and Extensions in Glass LTD

and before that again Telescopic Pool Enclosures LTD.

Over the years, the director David Lawrence has repeatedly declared this business bankrupt but then continued it under a new name to avoid paying debts (including customer refunds).

My mother ordered a pool cover in 2020 and after a 2 year nightmare project, managed to return the faulty cover in exchange for a promised refund.

The refund process was dragged out for over 4 years and was still left with several thousand pounds owed but the court order she finally received in her favour is now pointless because the previous company has once again gone into liquidation.

If you take the risk of ordering from this company, you may get lucky end up with a mediocre installation of a pre-fab enclosure. But if anything goes wrong, be ready to be messed around for years before the owner finally declares bankruptcy again and starts trading under a new name.
