Great Pool Buying Experience

After extensive research and recommendation by our realtor, we hired Pool Town to build our pool in 2016. The process was seamless and moved from each stage to the next like clockwork. Signed a contract in January 2016, construction started in April 2016 and the entire pool plus the finishing touches was completed by the end of June. After getting the final approvals from our township we were able to use the pool by the middle of August 2016. The staff at Pool Town from the salespeople, to the office staff, to the contractors and sub-contractors were courteous and knowledgeable. Also, their showroom is a must see! It's like the Disneyworld of pool stores.

From start to finish

From start to finish, and including my annual opening and closing, Pooltown has been a pleasure to work with. Mike made the entire process a breeze. From planning to breaking ground to pouring concrete to filling it up with water, the process was simple and Pooltown walked us through it.

We reached out to Pool Town and two…

We reached out to Pool Town and two other reputable pool companies in the Spring 2017. Our salesman Carl was so informative and gave us the best package for the best price. We decided to go with Pool Town and couldn't be happier. Carl was accessible throughout the process. By the end of the Summer 2017, our pool was installed and patio finished. When I had a questions about maintaining the pool, the pool service, Excel, came out to check on my concerns the next day. I have recommended Pool Town to anyone who asks me. At the very least, give Carl at Pool Town a call. You won't be disappointed!

From Their sales department to construction department and the retail department everybody is always friendly, courteous, and most importantly on time with there timeframe before during and after construction. We had a very good experience. I would highly recommend Pool Town to anyone wanting to install an inground.

Great company great service

My experience with Pool Town was wonderful from start to finish. After dealing with a few different companies, I found Pool Town by searching online. I traveled about 45 minutes to 1 hour to their showroom where I was met by a salesman and treated excellent. This was by far the best decision I made. Once the permits were obtained the whole process went smooth( exception of weather) and we were swimming before we knew it. I still use their services to open and close my pool which I am completely satisfied with their service. I recommend them to everyone who mentions a pool and currently have a friend in the process of getting a pool from them. Keep up the good work Pool Town!

Pooltown is an excellent company to work with in a tough industry!

Pooltown is an excellent company to work with. the best part is when they said they would show up, they did. they kept in touch, especially the first phases of excavation, installation. They have come out a few times as we had questions, minor items that came up. However, they showed up and fixed them promptly!
Dwayne and Matt from their service team should be noted as giving exceptional service as well.
Thanks, Pooltown!

Horrible company to deal with

Horrible company to deal with. Poor quality work and even worse costumer service. All phases of work are subbed out and pool town could care less about how things r going. Our renovation was a three month nightmare. Problems with every stage and had to drain out a 30,000 gallon pool multiple times to fix problems. No communication from the company. Will never use or recommend pool town to anyone ever!

Horrible company to work with took me …

Horrible company to work with took me forever to finally have someone come over for a liner issue , which clearly is not correct, but they seam to find no problem with it even though when they came the first time and told my wife , " there clearly was a problem" . The patio people they work with and the "free" waterfall are all scams . They come to your house and try to sell you a bigger waterfall , and to get some extra concrete around the 3' that they give you , will cost you an arm and a leg ! All I can say is go elsewhere

This company is a absolute nightmare to deal with. They dug a hole and left all the dirt in our yard for months. They refused to come back and remove which delayed the process months. We had to hire our own contractor to remove the dirt otherwise our pool still wouldn't be finished. Don't let them fool you by their sales pitch. If you want to know about this you can contact me directly and I'll show you with they did to my yard. This is the worst company to deal with and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.

VERY UNHAPPY

UPDATE 8/9/17 - I am still giving ZERO stars. My advice is to still go in a different direction. I really should have went with a local pool company. Let me take you thru my 10 week nightmare. That is how long it took from the time they dug the hole until the time concrete patio was poured.
My "Design Consultant" (at least that is what his business card says) may have been a help when he sold me our pool, but a true design consultant would have come to my home to discuss layout, location of pool and equipment. Since he didn't want to make a visit to my home an engineer made all those decisions and now I am stuck looking at the pump and filter only 6 feet from my concrete patio. Yes I approved the Engineering drawings, but I am not an engineer and dint notice the pump/filter in the picture. See the attached picture of the pump and filter. BTW, I have more than an acre of land. The equipment could have gone anywhere. When I received other quotes, the owners of the local pool companies sat at my kitchen table with me and discussed the layout and location of everything. Due to the location of the pump and filter it cost me an extra $700 in electrical runs. With all my issues I am shocked that my "Design Consultant" has not bothered to check in with me or respond to emails or text messages.
Next issue was with their construction department. I wasn't aware that I had to handle vendor management for them, as I was the one who had to call the excavator, the electrician and the mason and coordinate when all the work was to be done. I was taking phone calls from my electrician on Sunday afternoons while coaching soccer games. Their construction department also failed to talk to each other about extra excavation that was needed and then my coordinator got caught in a lie as to why my work was delayed. Yes, Pooltown will blame the weather, but they wont take responsibility for all the lost days where weather wasnt an issue. Next up, a rock fell on my light during backfill and the construction coordinator assumed I was going to pay to have the pool drained and refilled. Pooltown promised to pay for the refill of the pool and I have yet to receive any money from them. Pooltown also stated that it took them a week to replace the light because they had to get a new one from the warehouse. I saw the saw light on Amazon and could have had one delivered the next day. Now, let's talk about the installers, yes they did a great job, but apparently one of the workers thought it was my fault he had to work late and called me a "d**che" while he was on the phone. This was said only a few feet away from my 12yo daughter. Pooltown denied this happened, but my daughter knows what she heard. With all the issues and delays I had I asked Pooltown for 600 sq ft of extra patio. Comes to about $6000. They countered with 100 sq ft. I asked for a meeting with ownership, but like my "Design Consultant" he didn't want to drive up to my house. They wanted me to drive the 90 minutes one way for this meeting. I wasn't going to take a day off of work for a meeting and I wasn't going to drive down the GSP during rush hour to meet after work.
One last item, they still owe me a winter pool cover, but I had to make my final payment to them. Most companies don't accept final payment until all work is complete and equipment is delivered.
Finally, because I posted a bad review on Facebook, which I think they deleted (they also blocked me from posting any more on Facebook), they rescinded their offer of an extra 100 sq ft of free patio concrete. My advice, spend a little extra more and go with a pool company that will spend the time with you to discuss your pool. Also, do your research on this company, read all reviews, angieslist, BBB, google, yelp, etc. I have spent my summer regretting a pool, but I think my biggest regret was getting it from Pooltown.

A current customer

A current customer, started digging for our pool since may 2017, dirt still in our backyard, been emailing for weeks, nothing done yet. All apologies from whoever I talked too, Lisa, kait or Cat. It is almost august and our pool is not done yet. Yeah there ad says guaranteed water 15 days after start of excavation, is true, but the whole pool is not done after 3 months . Fell for sales talk. Do not go to this company

Love our New Pool

We love our new pool, they kept to the promissed time frame. Once pool was complete we had a few problems with the foundation under the pool liner. We were told this happens sometime, they fixed the problem but we felt the call backs regarding our problem were a little slow and we did most of the calling to see when things would get fixed. They did cover the cost of the salt for the pool the first time but we had to pay the water bill for filling our pool 3 times since the problem occured twice after completion of pool. Overall they were there for us and got the foundation fixed and we were only out of using the pool for 2 to 3 days each time we had to empty our pool to be repaired.
