The accommodation we booked had one review on Booking.com, which is where we made our original booking. The booking was transferred to poplidays. There are also only two reviews on poplidays for this property. I realise now the reason there are so few reviews is because there is no possibility to leave one for the accommodation on either platform . We booked Studio Tignes, studio flat, 4 persons - FR-1-502-516 in Sefcotel
If I could leave zero stars I would. This is possibly one of the worst places I have ever had the misfortune to stay.
The property is located on the 3rd floor facing Tufs ski lift. There is a nightclub in the basement, but worse Popeyes bar is below to the left and has no sound proofing . The bar is open until midnight playing loud music- making it impossible to sleep through the noise.
The building is absolutely filthy and smells horrendous- a combination of sewage, cigarettes and urine.
The apartment itself needs a complete refit - it’s horrible, aged and not fresh. The shower curtain had growth on it - I bought bleach to disinfect it, as I did the entire apartment. The bed in the mezzanine was rock hard - a mattress on a wooden floor, and the pull out single beds were equally uncomfortable. At over 1600 euros for a week it is hugely overpriced but even if the apartment were offered for free I would not stay there - AVOID. Absolutely awful.
The inability to leave a review for this apartment is very poor, disingenuous and needs to be addressed. Others should know what they are booking BEFORE taking a decision!

Both toilets smelt of urine and one doubled as the storage area for all the cleaning equipment. The apartment was overpriced for what it actually was like.

Rent an appartment via poplidays for 4 nights. Had to pay a deposit, 700euros. One week after my stay in the appartment. They had charge me 100 euro because bedlinnen was missing and I had damaged and degraded the appartment.
They didn’t gave any explanation what only showed one picture about what was damaged. There was wooden strip missing from a wall. I have responded that I have not done this. No answer back.

Terrible company AVOID! I received spam email after spam email before my stay had even begun. The room had a tiny sofa bed which was advertised as a two bed. I asked if I could change rooms when I arrived but the company refused to help and simply denied me any support. I then hired another place to stay during my trip. Terrible service for a hospitality company.

We stayed in this apartment (18931418828-apartment-chatel-2-bedrooms-6-persons/) last year, and it was awful. It hadn't been cleaned, there was a pair of dirty, large, old men's underwear under the bed, and dog hair was everywhere (literally everywhere, including all the beds). We were supposed to get a 10% discount, but we never heard anything back. We've been trying to sort this out for a year, but haven't heard anything back yet. Now it's time to let others know.

Poplidays is the worst accomodation middle manager I’ve ever experienced. The communication is terrible - I’ve now dealt with over 30 people from the agency and never the same person. They refused to cancel and refund my booking - all the issues began exactly 1-2hours after the free cancellation period ended. Despite their breach of contract they cited the contract to not provide a full refund even though it was almost a month before the booking. They then tried to minimise the issue and ignored the main issue by sending a pithy email attempting to clarify a situation they made ridiculously complex (there was no issue until they threatened several times to cancel my booking despite the fact I made all payments on time and in good faith). They are still refusing to send details required to make a formal complaint to the French authorities - I’ve asked over 10 times in writing. It’s been a huge stress and waste of time.
Avoid Poplidays at all costs - you’ve been warned.
Worst operators - if any issue they just rotate through different people in the organisation and refuse to acknowledge their part in anything and will not accept responsibility. They will no doubt try to say they clarified everything in an email on 23 Dec. That is total nonsense and incorrect. I do not agree with their stance in any way and they are now continuing to waste my time with multiple messages in vrbo avoiding sending requested details so I can formally complain.
Shame on you Poplidays - holiday destroyers.

Avoid this company — unsafe apartment conditions, no support, no accountability.
We recently booked an apartment in Spain through this French rental company, and the experience was extremely disappointing and stressful. The apartment was uninhabitable, and the company refused responsibility despite clear evidence.
Upon arrival, we immediately discovered that the heating did not work. The apartment was only 14°C, which is dangerous for our group: three elderly guests and two children, one of whom became sick because of the cold. We contacted their local Spanish partner right away, and communication continued until 11:00 p.m., but no solution was provided. They only kept telling us to adjust the thermostat and radiators, which did nothing. No technician was available, and we were left in a freezing apartment all night.
The apartment was also not clean when we arrived. We sent photos the same evening, but instead of acknowledging the problem, the company later tried to shift the blame onto us.
Because of the unsafe conditions, we were forced to leave the next morning. We requested a refund for the stay we could not use, but the company refused, ignoring the health risk and the fact that the heating failure made the property uninhabitable.
To make matters worse, they later claimed the thermostat had been “tampered with,” which is simply untrue and comes across as an attempt to avoid responsibility.
Our planned getaway weekend for two families was entirely ruined. We were forced to leave one full day earlier than planned, which not only disrupted our travel arrangements but also caused significant disappointment and stress.
Overall, this company showed poor customer service, no empathy, and no accountability. I strongly do not recommend booking with them. If anything goes wrong, you may be left without support—and without your money.

The customer service is poor. We had an appartement which was unclean and also some things were broken. We left earlier due to the poor quality. Poplidays did not seem to care and did not want to compensate anything, despite proving foto proof. Conclusion do not book any residence vua Poplidays or you might find yourself in a likewise situation.
